They came out to tune-up our furnace. We were having trouble with it keeping warm all of the time. He found the problem and fixed it right away. We have not had any trouble since. The repairman was on time and super nice.

He was very proffessional and quick. They have all the parts available so they had installed it the same time they came in. They also wrote down recommendations for the future.

I got the Angies list boiler tune up package, because my boiler was throwing flames and baseboard piping were gurgling. The guy was professional and knew what he was doing and also explained how a boiler works to a newbie. The reason for the B in pricing, was that they noticed that my automatic air purging valve was not working and asked me if I wanted it to be replaced, which was nice. Even though I felt that the pricing for the part was steep, I let them do it, because I thought it was necessary for the boiler to work efficiently. I was a newbie after all when it came to boilers, as I had just bought the place. I watched the guy change the valve, and it was really easy to install. Later I checked the price for the valve online and as I suspected the price way less than what I was charged for. But the thing is, now I have learned to tune the boiler myself thanks to this company and in they saved me money by showing me how. I also got a quote from them for an air conditioning system from a second guy from the company. I expect HVAC people to do some kind of heat loss/gain calculations when they try to sell me a system. This guy walked around my house for 10-15 minutes and then handed me a quote $11,000 for a Spacepak AC system without blinking. The quote was steep, because the material costs are around $4,200 (you can buy it yourself online), and I don't know what rule of thumb he used to size the system. But I guess that is the case with any HVAC contractor in the area, after all they are not engineers who do math equations for a living. I won't be buying a system from them, based on this experience. But overall, if you need a tuneup only and get a deal on Angies list, I can recommend them. Just don't buy the parts from them without doing an online search first. Update: Just wanted you to know that in late March I noticed that my boiler isn't heating the house, which is strange to happen in relatively short time span after being serviced. Could be many reasons why the cause of it wasn't caught during the tune up. Anyhow, it took me a while but I found a professional HVAC company who specializes in the areas I need to have work done around the house, and also can do a properly sized AC retrofit for almost half what this company quoted. They also don't belittle you no matter where you are from. Thanks.

These guys are the best. The technician arrived right on time and serviced the boiler and got to the root of a low pressure problem. He cleared out the sediment blockage and fired up the system again. After a couple of hours my wife noticed the relieve valve leaking quite a bit so she called them back out and the tech fitted a new relief valve as it should not have been leaking at all. Probably the pressure build up after the service fix really highlighted the problem. Heck I thought they all leaked a bit so I guess the valve had been not very functional from when we purchased the old house 4 years ago! Anyway thanks to both techs who did a great job, cleaned up and were friendly and courteous. I wish I had been home to meet them. Highly recommend and will be providing us with our boiler system needs in the future.

Our furnace stopped working. The tech came out and diagnosed the problem in a few minutes. He quoted $800 to fix - parts and service. I researched the cost of buying the part myself and installing it. It was $400 and 1 hours of my time. I thanked him for the diagnosis and paid the $70 service fee.

I called to set up appointment as I saw a coupon online - $87+ for a list of 20+ items to inspect on the furnace. I was told they work with every kind of furnace. We set up a time when my husband would be home. Burkhardt's came and cleaned cleaned it, however we'll need a new one in approximately two years - our is approximately 30 years old. My husband agreed. We wish he would have changed the hose where the excess water comes out, but my husband did it after he left. We were pleased with the work, but know when we replace our furnace they would recommend their brand and we aren't sure that is what we'll do. We'll continue to look on Angie's list and make a choice when the time comes.

From purchase to scheduling to install, everything went smoothly and professionally.

Everything thing went well. I wasn't home at the time, but the Nanny said he was nice and he didn't leave a mess or anything. The only complaint was that I called the next day with a follow-up question, but did not receive a call back.

Rick showed up really fast after we called. He was very professional, very knowledge, and had our best interests in mind. You can tell that Burkhardt wants to build long-lasting relationships with customers, and Rick did a fantastic job of it. We have an old house and an old crappy furnace that was spewing a very smelly exhaust outside. Rick came in, assessed the situation. Gave us all of our options. He figured out that a $550 part was under warranty, including the labor to replace it, which was just amazing. Not sure that would have happened with just any repair person coming over. We decided we needed to fix the horrible exhaust issue and just get through the winter to buy some time on a bigger purchase decision. He totally understood and made the repairs right then. Amazing service. When it's time to have the furnace replaced there's no question who we're going to call: Burkhardt Heating and AC.

When I scheduled the service they were so friendly! I received a reminder call which I appreciated. The day of the service I was running late and called them to let them know, they were very accommodating. Terry was there within the window of time they quoted, was super friendly (and funny!), and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. They will definitely receive repeat business from. Me, and I highly recommend using their services.

Everyone was quite pleasant to deal with, and we were happy with the service. The office called shortly after we purchased the Big Deal to schedule the service. The technician came at the specified time and checked and tuned the furnace.

We chose this company when they offered a special price for a furnace check through Angie's List. We had just moved to this house, and we did not really know the condition of our heating system. We have 2 furnaces, and the company agreed to give us the special price on both furnaces. The serviceman was prompt and professional, spent a fair amount of time checking both furnaces, and then discussed with us the need for a new part on one of the frunaces. The part was replaced quickly, and both furnaces have been functioning well.

From scheduling the appointment to letting me know 30 minutes before they were going to arrive to the actual cleaning they were great. It would be odd for someone to look over my shoulder the entire time I did a project at work but both of their technicians were very friendly and educational. Would definitely repeat.

The special Deal was intended for a forced air system, but they honored it for my high efficiency boiler also, which I appreciated. The service representative was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I purchased this as a Big Deal, and actually forgot that I had purchased it. Burkhardt tracked me down to make sure I received the service, when they could easily have ignored me. They scheduled well, showed up on time and performed the service quickly and with good explanations. This is a common type of service, but they performed it very well.

A great experience from beginning to end. When I called to schedule the appointment, I was informed that it would cost more to have work done on the weekend. I was then asked if I would like to wait and schedule an appointment for Monday in order to keep the cost down. I opted to pay a little extra in order to get the heat back on immediately. I appreciated the fact that they were very clear and upfront about the pricing differences. The technician called within 15 minutes and was at my house within the hour. I found him to be personable, professional and trustworthy. I was fortunate in that the problem was relatively minor. The flame sensor required a cleaning and everything was working again. Having previously had questionable experiences with home repairs, I really appreciated the excellent service provided by Burkhardt.

Our AC was leaking water after our first time turning it on for the summer and Burkhardt came to the rescue. For the charge of a tuneup of the AC and heater, the AC was repaired and working for the summer. The hoses need to be cleaned out and the compressor was provided a complete tune up. It was a huge relief to know that it simply was a matter of poor care from our previous owners. The heat also received a complete bill of health.

Replacement of the home heating and air equipment represents one of the highest priced home maintenance projects a home owner can encounter, so working with a contractor who is knowledgeable and whom one can trust, is greatly reassuring. Being ecology minded I appreciate finding a contractor who can provide equipment which will be good for the environment.
