Burkhardt Heating & Air Conditioning

Everything went great, we had a small amount of water leaking and it was fixed in no time. We will definitely use this company for our yearly check-ups

He asked me how long I had the air conditioner. I thought it was five or six years but it was really 8 years. He asked me to pull out whatever packet they had given me. The air conditioner/heat pump was originally installed by Donovan and Jorgenson. We found a ten year parts and labor guarantee. He told me to call Donovan and Jorgenson. The warranty covered a system diagnostic procedure; recovery, evacuate, and recharge; and replace txv. The service work order was for $1,116. The service men were at my house for 7 hours. It was all covered by warranty. Burkhardt is clearly very knowledgable but their suggestion to look for a warranty shows that they are looking out for the best interests of their customers.

I had an A/c unit installed in my new house last year and this year it stopped working. The folks who installed it were not returning my calls, so to Angie's list I went and found this company. I called to make appt and they fit me in next day. They then called me back to let me know they had an earlier spot open up if I'd like it. They said tech would call before arriving, which he did. Tech was professional, explained the problem was with compressor firing and placed a hard start kit on the unit until I could talk to the company who installed the unit. He didn't say anything bad about the company who installed it even though I expressed frustration with the fact they were not returning my calls and it was a brand new system. He explained what he did was a bandaid and gave me the price before installing so I could decide. It was so hot I had him install the part and its been working great ever since. I received a follow up phone call and a card thanking me for my business! A+++!

The technician called and showed up a little early for the appointment. Arriving early is something that has never happened to me before. It was wonderful. The technician answered all of my questions and told me about everything he was doing. Burkhardt?s check up was far far more thorough than the provider that I was using before. The air conditioner was working like new by the time he left. What?s just as great is that Burkhardt charged me half of what my prior company estimated.

They were on time, professional, and cleaned up beautifully. We took advantage of a deal at seasons' end knowing that we were close to having to replace inefficient furnaces in a 25+ year old home.

Called for a service call the next day. Provider was prompt. Problems were uncovered quickly and resolved. Pricing was reasonable for the work done. Was grateful that the unusual nature of our system was noted, but no unnecessary work was suggested as some providers do.

It worked out fine. I had a problems with my A/C and they found that my drain line was clogged so he clean it up. He was prompt, courteous, he knows what he was doing and he fix the problem that I need him to do.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out well. I purchased their maintenance agreement so there was an additional charge for that. They were very prompt. I believe this was partially because I was an Angie's List member. They came out rain or shine; it was raining. The air conditioner worked after he serviced it.

It went very well, tech came the next day after I called and was on time, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, fair price, informed me of the process and what life my system has left. Couldn't have asked for a better experience from HVAC contractor! I will use them again and have already recommended them to a friend.

My A/C was running, but no cold air was coming through the vents. I called Burkhardt & they sent someone out the same day! The provider called ahead & was right on time. He figured out what the problem was right away & was able to fix it in about an hour. It was a great experience & I will definitely use them again.

We have no problems with them. They did a good job, and it was for two houses. One of the houses was a rental house, and I think they came out the next day. For me, that was really important. They were great. They were very punctual. I needed them quickly, and they came right out.

It went very good. I was pleased with him. What he did was like a normal part of their tune up. He explained that it's something that they do and I guess a lot of others don't. It was a special so I thought the price was really good and based on all the other responses from customers, I thought I'd give them a try.

Since the thermostat was not functioning properly, I requested an approximate cost to replace the thermostat if a repair wouldn't work. The Burghardt representative indicated that this information could not be provided over the phone; but, that the technician would make the price determination upon his arrival. I indicated that I'd like to know a cost range in advance; however, it was still not provided. When I shared that I needed this information in order to make an appointment, she indicated that she would have a technician contact me. After waiting an hour for a technician to call, I opted to contact another HVAC vendor. That vendor asked for information the make, model and size of my current thermostat. When I couldn't locate the model number of my current unit, she asked me to take a photograph of the unit and send it to her by email or by phone. Once she received the photograph, she provided me with a cost to replace the unit if necessary. I subsequently made an appointment with the new vendor and canceled the appointment with Burghardt.

The service provider was fantastic. He explained everything he was doing in detail, was prompt and friendly. He explained options regarding replacing furnace and air conditioner but didn't pressure. He showed his work. It was a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend them.

They came out and gave us estimates and options as to what level we wanted to install ac in our house. We told them we only wanted 2nd flr area cooled beacause we did not want the 1st flr ceilings in an older house disturbed.We we just concerned to take the humidity out and cool 2nd floor. We have open front and rear stairs and knew that cold air would find its way to the 1st floor. We were informed that the way we wanted to do it would not totally cool the house and they just wanted us to be aware of it. We agreed and scheduled to have it installed. The installers were on time every day they were there.(about a week as this was a new installation) They installed new air handler in attic, along with insulated air ducts. Cut holes in ceilings of the 2nd floor and installed adjustable vents, air return, installed thermostat. installed the Air compressor outside, wired the unit, upgraded electrical in basement to handle unit and took care of needed permits. They even put up with our pets running around from time to time. Crew was very proffessional and curtious, taking care to keep dust and mess to minimum. They used tarps as not to scratch our newly refinished floors. They went over items as they were installing and explained the controls when done. Overall, it was a good experience, we are happy with the operation of the unit and would use them again.

We have a high-efficiency boiler (Munchkin) that hadn't received any service since we purchased the house - about two years. We wanted to have it checked out/tuned up but we weren't sure who to call to have it serviced. Upon contacting Burkhardt they said they were familiar with the brand. We set up a date/time for the maintenance call and the technician arrived on time. He did a bit of extra work at no additional charge since it had been a few years since the boiler had received an annual check up. Everything was done very well and there was no mess. The technician was very knowledgeable and courteous. Going forward we will be using Burkhardt for the annual maintenance on the boiler.

The gentleman who came to the house was very helpful, very nice and I was pleased with the work. He knew his stuff and was able to pass on some very helpful information as we are relatively new homeowners.

I had no trouble scheduling the appointment. Kurt showed up when expected. He was very polite and professional. Got right to work and when completed answered all my questions and explained what he all did. I was very pleased with the service I received. This past March I became aware of a gas leak on the pipe on my water heater. I did not hesitate to call Burkhardt Heating to repair the leak for me. Kurt showed up again very timely and again very professional and pleasant and performed the work quickly. I believe the cost was reasonable. Total cost $145.95. I would not hesitate to call when I need further work done.

Good customer care on the telephone. Technician came when scheduled. Did a very thorough clean and check up of the furnaces. Explained what he was doing in easy to follow language. Adjusted the blower speed at my request. very clean and efficient. Would use them again.

Burkhardt is a true lifesaver! They came in quickly and provided an estimate to the contractor to complete out what the contractor's sub had not installed correctly/couldn't configure. A Bryant Evolution System (Heating, air exchange, and AC was installed along with appropriate thermostat). The prior sub was not experienced with this system and could not finish the installation. Burkhardt came in and completed the work in the fall in one day! The crew was so professional and quick. Unlike other contractors who we have seen in our pre-Angie's List days, Burkhardt worked hard throughout the day and kept the work site extremely clean. Burkhardt returned in the spring and completed the work on the AC unit once the temps outside were in range. They did a great job on this visit too. They were punctual and professional. You can't ask more from an HVAC contractor or installer than Burkhardt. We will use them going forward and proudly recommend them to other Angie's List users and friends/family.

I used Burkhardt Heating and Air Conditioning in October or November. I don't think they charged anything extra over the coupon. At the time my boy friend at the time was with them. I think they did a pretty good job. They did their job pretty well. They didn't leave anything on the floor. They were pretty nice. I would complement them, their service was good.
