They were on time, professional, and did a great job. I would highly recommend their services to others. They were very knowledgeable, informative and responsive to my requests. I was very happy with the service.

The technician talked to me about the install of the furnaces, answered questions and gave me advice on the upkeep and maintenance of the furnace.

The service provider was very friendly and showed me exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done. He was prompt, on time, and very friendly. He also had the needed part on him. Although he doesn't typically work with the brand of furnace I have, we were able to determine that the part was under warranty so he was able to return it to the manufacturer.

The bottom line is that the Burkhardt employee diagnosed my (embarrassingly simple) problem on the phone and spared me a service call. I called because my home temperature dropped about 8 degrees overnight and I could not get the temperature to come up. Burkhardt suggested that I remove the filter first and see if the temperature would come up on its own. While my filter wasn't old, I have enough dog hair floating around the house that the filter was clogged and was restricting the flow of warm air in the system. Burkhardt spared me an $80 house call--plus the time at home away from work--when all I needed was a new $10 filter. A very nice experience. While Burkhardt did not do any on-site work for me this time, I have used the company once before to replace a blower on my furnace. That experience was good as well.

Things went great. They were very friendly and understanding. Our heat went out the same day that I had to take my significant other the to emergency room. They were able to meet my sister at my house with in the hour. Still not sure why our heat went out, but he looked everything over and instead of finding something to fix and charge me for he happily just sat there for 30-40 minutes to make sure everything kept working and only charged me for the visit.

I did purchase an extra automatic humidity sensor from them. The extra was about $120. It seems to be working. The gentleman who came over knew what he was doing. He was very courteous. He left his number behind in case I have any questions. He definitely used outside shoes and inside shoes. It's a fair price.

It was good. He walked me through potential problem areas. He pointed out where things were. He explained what cleaning he was going to do. He was on time. He was courteous and polite. Cleaned up after himself. I was pretty satisfied.

Very professional. The technician explained what had triggered our unit to turn off and identified an issue that was making the unit work harder (cement on the fan blades from a chimney repair). I was impressed with the service and would highly recommend.

It turned out well. We have used them since that time for our other needs. It was a great company to work with. They did exactly what they said they would do. It was a big job. It didn't take a long time. It was fine.

The person I talked to was vary nice and professional. He showed up when they said he would. The furnace was repaired in vary timly manner.

Burkhardt performed a tune-up on our heating systems, and found that the boiler was ready to be replaced. Many things were failing, which was not surprising for a 30-year old boiler. We had asked Burkhardt for quotes about 2 years ago, so we were ready to select the model. They offer four different levels of efficiency and cost, and we selected the third most efficient model (Weil-McLain CGi). Payback analysis indicated that the most efficient model would not save enough energy to offset the higher purchase price, about double the cost of the one we got. We set up the appointment, and the Burkhardt team showed up on time and proceeded with the installation. They were able to reuse the zone controller unit that I had just installed last year, and they also tidied up some of the pipe connections. They added a new inlet feed and pressure valve and bled the system. They cleaned up the job site very well. They were done by the end of the day, and the system was back up and running with no problems so far.

I bought two tune-up deals through Angie's Deals. Jim contacted me promptly and we set up a date for them to come out. They performed the work very efficiently, but they also found that the boiler was failing and needed to be replaced. We were not surprised by this, as we'd had Burkhardt do a tune-up last year. See separate review for the boiler replacement work. Overall, the tune-up went well and we would use Burkhardt again. They are honest to deal with and provide good service.

I purchased the $89 deal for seasonal tune up. Day 1 technician came out and only completed inspection due to their order ( which they had my order mixed up with someone else). Called later that day to only keep playing phone tag for 1 whole week! Finally,the receptionist was able to schedule a technician to come back out a week out which was an inconvenience due to now needing two appointments due to their mistake. Day 2- technician came out was very nice and completed the job in a timely fashion. The entire process was terrible. However, I may use them in the future.

The reason I chose Burkhardt (out of all the heating companies out there) is that they took the time to personally respond to each person that wrote a review. This is the 3rd year I've used Burkhardt for the annual cleaning of 2 gas furnaces in my duplex. However, this is my first review for them. I must apologize for that, as I am the worlds biggest procrastinator. I am very satisfied with the company and the work that has been done. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. The service technicians did a good job and took the time to answer all my questions. I will use them again and would recommend them.

I called the emergency number at 5am because my upstairs furnace stopped working. Doug promptly called me back and asked what the problem was with my furnace. I told him a piece of plastic may have got sucked up the pipe outside the day prior. Over the phone, he told me step-by-step how to easily remove the pipe and get the plastic out, so I would not incur a service charge. I did as he instructed, and it took less than 1 minute to unfit the pipe and get that small plastic piece out. No service charge!!! How awesome is that? I will definitely use this company the next time I have a problem with my furnace or AC!!! Thank you Doug!

I had used Burkhardt before and had a very good experience with Gary Pinter, the manager, when I replaced a furnace and a/c unit in our home last year. When the furnace at my mother-in-law's condo quit I called another company to fix it. They discovered it was a board that had been replaced a couple years earlier. It was a 20+ year furnace, so I went ahead and replaced it. The other company was someone more local and had always done a good job on servicing it and I asked them for a quote and Burkhardt for one. The quotes were similar with Burkhardt being a bit higher. What has always impressed me about Burkhardt and Gary is there concern of the customer. When Gary came to quote the unit he realized that my mother-in-law would be without heat of the weekend. So he drove to his home, picked up some heaters he had and then drove back and put them in the condo unit. It's that kind of concern for the customer that has continually earned Gary and Burkhardt my business. That's not the first time Gary has done that kind of "above and beyond". I think this company is just wired to give really good customer service. He's the first person I'd recommend if someone asked me for a furnace company recommendation.

We called and got quotes from 4 different companies after our 28 year furnace gave up the ghost. GaryP., the manager that helped us was excellent. He was the most thorough of the 4 companies we called in examining how they would put the new heater in. We needed to have the fresh air and exhaust moved, a condesate line run, the air conditioner replaced, etc. While he was not the cheapest quote, I felt we'd get better value with Burkhardt because of Gary's professionalism and expertise. I had a sense working with Gary that he was recommending only what we needed and the installation would be done professionally. From my research prior to the purchase I knew that selecting the right contractor was more important than the brand of the heater itself. The furnaces apparently are very close in quality and several brands are made by the same conglomerate. Gary's followup was excellent. The installation when very smooth and the work was very professional.

They did a fine job. I would call them again.

It was fine and they did a great job. They explained stuff for me and left a note for my husband so he would understand what went on. They got the job done in about one hour and it did not take very long. I did not have any problems with them.

The service man was very professional and courteous. He answered all my questions and was very thorough.

My experience in communicating with them was great. I had my furnace fixed today and am no longer in need of the deal.

I called Burkhardt Heating for a quote on fixing two broken radiators in my condo. They said they would call me back that afternoon to schedule an appointment. Two days later, I still hadn't heard from them so I called again and got an appointment. At appointment, the guy looked at my radiators for about 15 minutes. He then told me that because I live in a condo, only our building's engineer can fix it. I told him thanks, wish you guys could've told me that on the phone (since I told him it was a condo on the phone) and sorry to waste his time. He said, "Well, it's not a waste of my time because you still have to pay my trip fee. $85." I told him no one told me about that and he said, "Yeah, they often conveniently forget to do that and let me deliver the bad news in person." I called his boss to ask about the fee and Mr Burkhardt immediately flew off the handle and told me he would ensure his company never provided service to me again. Incredibly rude and unprofessional.

After another drastic change in the wonderful Milwaukee Summer weather, the furnace was turned on. Burkhardt was able to send a tech over in a little over an hour-and-a-half. Tech did the diagnostic and found an issue with one of the motors. After the diagnostic and calling for an estimate, he was able to obtain the part needed and install it in another hour-and-a-half. Tech was patient as I had to make a couple of phone calls. Payment was convenient too, credit card. Tech straightforward and did not pressure.

They were excellent. They were responsive and punctual, they showed up on time. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. They are very professional and were able to answer any questions I had.
