Jeremy made the bookcase the same size but made it in two pieces so he could get it into the building. It is just beautiful and looks like the one we left. The details are amazing and he made it so we could take it with us if we move by just removing 2 pieces. He attached it to the wall for safety. We loved his workmanship the first time and that is why we hired him again. He trimmed all the shelves and it looks like a very special custom piece of furniture. I wish I could get a picture in here. It took him less than two weeks to finish it plus we wanted it painted and he put 3 coats of paint on it. Honestly, Jeremy is just the best and I highly recommend him. He does carpentry and remodeling.

The project took exactly two weeks as promised. After the initial proposal, I wanted to make a few changes to the plans and Jeremy was very accommodating. He provided me with ideas and together a smooth project occurred. There was a price increase in some areas, however Jeremy allowed other items at no additional cost. They kept the mess contained, and made me aware of any issues with a old home that you are bound to run into. There was some damage to an adjacent wall which Jeremy took care off. My only compliant is with Home Depot closet organizer products - they are all made of particle board and the mounting system is somewhat lacking. We will try this option, however Jeremy offered to build one if need be. This was not Jeremy's choice on the product but mind. Overall, we are very happy with the remodel.

We were satisfied but not extremely impressed with them. They charged a pretty decent amount. We did have some problems with the closet eventually. It wasn't fixed all that well. He did try to fix the bedroom doors to get the insulation which came off. We also paid for that. It was a couple of a hundred dollars. That didn't work so good because we've been having the same problem.

This was our second project with Jeremy. The first was a tear-off and rebuild of our front porch in November of 2012. We loved the work that he did on that project so much that we hired him again in March 2013 to do a complete remodel of our 1st floor bathroom. This bathroom was a bit unique because it was such a small area. Jeremy was great and worked with us to find the right toilet and sink to fit in the small space. He also suggested wonderful tiling that maintained the original bathroom's period look. Jeremy worked around our schedules when necessary and cleaned up at the end of every day. All in all we are very pleased with the work that Jeremy did and enthusiastically recommend Burkham Built for any of your remodeling needs.

He came over a day earlier than arranged. He did not take his shoes off even though it was snowing outside. He was nice enough, but the price he quoted us was absurd. He quoted us $2000 to do close off a wall. We called someone else from Angie's list and he quoted us for the *same* job: $550. Need I say more?

They were very responsive and we were a sort of a moving target for them because we initially started out without even knowing the cost of composite and when we realized how expensive that would be, we constantly pulling it back in terms of the scope of the project.

From the estimate process through project completion, I was extremely happy with the personable, timely communication from Jeremy Burkham, and the skill and level of effort from everyone involved with the project. The project was completed during a ridiculous heat wave and I was amazed at the work ethic from all of the guys. After completion I requested an additional coat of stain to the railings and they came back right away. Extra details, like creating a temporary spot for my mailbox, were really appreciated. Several neighbors stopped by after completion to compliment me on the new porch. All paid attention to the work being done and were impressed with the attention to detail during the process. The installation of cement footers garnered quite a bit of attention. I'd definitely work with them again. .

Needed an "emergency" repair on the porch. Jeremy was very helpful in getting there quickly for an estimate, and was very efficient with the repair. He tried to be as cost effective as possible (at my request), and even went above and beyond by pointing out another aspect of the porch that was not "up to code" and repairing it as well as part of the original estimate. Would use again.

Jeremy does great work. He arrived ontime did the work with quality and also took care of some small extras for us (like moving the light fixture on the front of the house and replacing some rotten boards on the porch. The price was fair and he cleaned up after the work.

This work was done during the height of the heat wave of summer 2012. These young men worked very hard, despite the heat, and did a great job. They were able to coordinate with the plumbers and the electricians and get the job done in a timely manner. They cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of our home and our privacy.

The overall process went well. We started thinking we were just doing a minor kitchen update with new counters and cabinets. Jeremy gave us designs and an estimate. We decided to expand the project to include the addition and Jeremy promptly gave us new designs and an updated estimate. Burkham Built is a small shop so we were concerned about the project being done in time for our daughter's blessing but he made it happen. My wife and I are very picky and wanted to select most of the materials. We sent lots and lots of ideas and questions to Jeremy and he made sure we bought the right things from sinks to sections of rough butcherblock and tiles. It was nice and absolutely necessary for us to make the kitchen our own but have a really good builder there to check our decisions and put it all together. Many steps along the way were very dirty both inside and out and Jeremy did a good job keeping things clean enough for us to continue to live in our home with a baby and temporary kitchen setup in the dining room. Very early on he had a temporary sink installed which I would have never thought to do but was really helpful. Like any project there were some unknowns and surprises found along the way. Jeremy handled each one very well and in the end we felt satisfied with both the result and what we paid.

They were prompt and punctual. They communicated well and were very professional. They would've been my number one pick out of the seven other service providers we called, they were just a bit high though.

They were able to do everything themselves including removing the toilet which I was told I would need a plumber to do. They did a great job and they had reasonable pricing.

Using Angie's list I contacted 2 contractors last fall for estimates and the third I got through a home improvement show that I attended. All 3 estimates were close in price. I chose Burkham Built because they offered some great suggestions like recessed lighting on a dimmer for the front and lower back porches as well as a ceiling fan for the back screened in porch. They also suggested going with some composite materials to save on maintenance and some electrical out lets on the front porch. I also felt that they had respect for the architectural look of the house. But they also had a view to bring the porches up to some of the modern construction methods. They also really listen to me as to what I wanted. The project was estimated at 7 to 8 weeks with a budget about $63,000. Work was started on April 16 and the final inspection was done on 6/12/2012. So the time estimated was spot on. The price turned out to be a bit higher as it was discovered that the front porch gutters were not draining properly. So I had 2 new copper downspouts installed. Now the gutters are draining as they should. I was very impressed with the responsiveness of Jeremy to my questions. He returned all calls quickly. He also took time to explain to me what they were doing as the porch project was moving along. When they finished the front, they did a great job of cleaning up the front yard. In fact throughout the whole project they did a good job of clean up. I bought some new porch lights and the ceiling fan and Jeremy made sure that they were installed the way that I wanted them. I am very impressed that Jeremy involved me a lot throughout this project. My porch project is now completed and I love how the porches blend with the design of the house. I am looking forward to spending many years using them. I would recommend Burkham Built. In fact I am going to use Burkham Built next year for another project .

Great, entire project done quickly.

I must say I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this provider! I called him for an estimate on an approx 12K + job & he told me it was too far to drive!? All I can say is WOW, biz must be pretty good that you can turn down a potentially large job because 40 miles round trip is too far to drive! To his defense, he offered to PAD the price to make up for the nearly $4 a gallon fuel costs.....I've had 3 bids on this job and ALL of them were from South Milwaukee 80 miles round trip. Sorry in my opinion totally UN-professional!

It took a day longer than estimated because of an unexpected problem. The final product was fantastic! My neighbor came over to tell me that it looked beautiful and my 1950's house looked almost brand new. She thought it improved the "tone" of our neighborhood. Both of us were impressed with Jeremy and the work his crew did. The railings are sturdy and I feel better knowing that I will not fall because of broken railings. Jeremy and the crew really delivered!

I contracted with Jeremy of Burkham Built, LLC long distance from North Carolina. This work was done for my parents who live in Milwaukee. From start to finish this project was first rate. They showed up on time and finished in a timely fashion, even with bad weather along the way. I would highly recommend this builder.

Our experience with Jeremy and his team was truly beyond our expectations. From the moment we had Jeremy out to see our property and do an estimate, he conveyed a sense of honest excitement to work for us and stayed committed throughout the entire process. Jeremy listened to our ideas and designed a beautiful front porch that respected the style of our 1926 bungalow, and that of the neighborhood. Upon request, he shared a detailed design sketch with us, explaining every aspect of the design, which took into account all of our wants and needs. Jeremy was able to work with us on the price, showing flexibility and a commitment to the needs of his customers. We felt we agreed on a fair price, and it definitely shows in his work. The team worked on the porch every week day until the project was finished. The effort by all of the workers was top notch, dedicated, and thorough, despite hot temperatures and some extra unexpected demolition work underground. The team was prompt to arrive each morning and stayed until late afternoon. As we watched the porch being built, we saw the quality and time that was going into each part. In the end, we have a beautiful front porch, built out of pine and composite, that has garnered attention from all of our neighbors! Jeremy's attention to detail, thoughtfulness for the design and the customer, and personable interactions with us all added up to a positive and unbeatable experience with a contractor. We cannot thank him enough for his dedication from start to finish, reliable communication by phone and email, and genuine care for our project. Although he had other projects at other homes going on concurrent to our remodel, he treated us like we were his only customers in the world...we always felt like his priority. We would definitely recommend him to our friends, family, and neighbors! In fact, we are looking to have him back to work on some other house projects we have in mind. Thank you to Jeremy and the whole team for an exceptional job on our front porch! It is an asset to our house and our neighborhood.

Jeremy Burkham gave me an estimate along with a contract specifically outlining the work he would do. He had other jobs to complete before mine, but got my porch done as promised the end of August. He took care of the permit and communication with the Village of Shorewood. The porch was completed, a great job. Cleanup was done so that you didn't even know he had been there. Very pleased.

It could not have gone better, they were here on time, worked efficiently and did a great job.

They were very professional. Overall, I have a high opinion of them. I appreciate his professionalism and promptness. I believe they were fair in their prices.

It went very well. The quality of the work and his craftsmanship made it satisfactory. He was very creative and came up with some great ideas. He was able to build the closet. Our house is 140 years old and he made it look appropriate. He is honest.
