Description of Work: I needed to have a 20+ foot header rebuilt on a duplex on the east side of Milwaukee, due to the wood rotting. Burkham built a support structure on the porch to support the upper balcony of the house, then tore the front paneling and header support off, rebuilt and set back down on the columns supporting them. Very professional looking job, execution and attention to detail, including multiple sets of decorative trim back on it. Would definitely hire again.

Description of Work: Burkham Built remodeled our front porch, which included replacing the skirting, decking, support posts, and railings. They did a great job of listening to my ideas for the porch as well as offering suggestions. They showed up to all the appointments we set and were very responsive to my questions and phone calls. I felt very confident that they had thoroughly looked over the project before providing a quote, and that showed through at the end of the project, as there were no additional costs. The porch looks great and is definitely solid.

Description of Work: Not sure what happened..emailed twice, each a week apart and never received a response. Checked junk mail folder as well as monitored voice mails closely thinking maybe a call back..nothing. Would have given a lower grade but sounds like they do good work, just maybe overworked this time of year or something..

Description of Work: Complete buildout of a 1898 eastside basement into a "mancave." Concrete walls and floors, plaster and pipes on the ceilings became a room with a floating bamboo floor, paneled walls, bamboo accents, and a full service bar. Also turned a closet into a bath with shower and toilet. Burkham handled subs for plumbing, electrical and hvac.

Description of Work: Removed and repaired small amount of decay and rot, applied preventative preservative to all cuts, installed deck protector on joists and installed Trex decking.

Description of Work: Jeremy and his crew completely remodeled our third floor, which includes a gymnasium/basketball court, a bedroom, closets, and storage area. Our goal was to maintain the historic look of our 105-year-old home while making it more functional with better temperature control. They tore everything down to the studs, added insulation, new windows, worked with subs to add air conditioning, new wiring and then rebuilt the walls. We wanted to save the original beadboard that lined the gymnasium. Jeremy carefully removed and stored the wood and then selected similar materials for other parts of the room. The end result is perfect -- you can't tell what's the original wood and what's the new wood that's been stained to match. He also added built-in shelves and an entertainment center that completely blend into the room, looking as if they were original to the house. We had concerns about the basketballs denting the drywall, so Jeremy added a beautiful and functional semi-circular wood panel around each hoop. We were also concerned about the basketball damaging our new TV. Jeremy built a wood and plexiglass frame to protect the TV. This job was as "custom" as it comes.

Description of Work: Jeremy completely remodeled our master bedroom including drywall, built in desk, and addition of a powder room (sink and toilet). Since this room originally was two bedrooms, the structural integrity of the ceiling joists needed to maintained and the maple flooring completed where and old closet was located.

Description of Work: Built a 12-step staircase with top landing to the front door of house (polish flat) with two support posts buried below the frost line. Used treated lumber and cedar.

Description of Work: We just moved into a condo from a house and needed storage space. I had a wall that was about 8 feet wide by 8 feet high and I wanted a bookcase from floor to ceiling. I had specific requirements for the built-in bookcase. So Jeremy and his crew built the bookcase, made suggestions to improve on the plan, painted it and had it completely finished in 3 days. All this, and they had to work in the condo garage and walk up and down two flights of stairs with the wood and fitting and measuring.

Description of Work: Under the gable fascia trim of our 2nd story house we have 5 decorative beams that stuck our about 18" from the edge of the roof. These beams were badly rotted. Jeremy and his crew replaced the gable trim that was also rotting with cedar (it had been pine) and then cut down the decorative beams at an angle and used hardener to stop any further deterioration. Then they repainted the trim and soffit and the beams.

Description of Work: Removed old kitchen cabinets and counter, old ceiling fan and stove hood and replaced all with new.

Description of Work: Jeremy and his brother John cut a 5' wide by 4' tall hole in the wall separating our kitchen and dining room placing a solid cherry bar in-between the two rooms. They built an arch at the top matching existing architecture in our home. They finished everything off except for the painting which we wanted to do ourselves.

Description of Work: Burkham Built LLC completed a den/office remodel and walk-in closet remodel in my 1914 bungalow home. They installed Judge's Panel in the den/office and tore out and installed a new custom closet system, as well as framed a new door to a attic crawl space.

Description of Work: Burkham Built, LLC, has performed several projects for us[I have included the approximate total cost for the projects above(labor only)]: (1) Built a custom cedar deck for our backyard. (2) created a second full bathroom space, including removing windows, installing siding, framing, insulating, installing flooring, etc. (3)Reworked a staircase banister and spindles to raise it up and bring it to code.

Description of Work: We have redeveloped an apartment building into condominiums. Mr. Burkham's work involved all classes of construction: Rough and finished carpentry, reconstruction of unit kitchens, renovation in the historic parts of the building, and new construction.
