Bruce was a pleasure to work with. He met with my husband, made some recommendations, sent a quote on paper and was honest about timing. The job was done in one day and the patio is a great addition to our home.

Bruce returned my call the following day. He came out and gave me an estimate and described what he proposed to do. Bruce then mailed me a quote which I signed and returned. After he received my signed quote, he called to schedule a date to do the work. Because it was so early in the season, he wanted to wait until it got a little warmer. Since time was not an issue with me, that worked out fine. He arrived a couple of weeks later about 10 in the morning. He removed the old 24" sidewalk and formed and poured a new 42" sidewalk. He pulled the forms and was completed by 3 in the afternoon. Bruce did a great job. I am very satisfied and would use him again.

He came out and gave me an estimate a couple days after we made contact. Sent me a contract by mail ,I signed and returned it. In less than two weeks Bruce called and said they would be here Friday afternoon to do the job. When my wife and I got home from work the job was complete. Very nice, no mess left behind, great job!!!

Bruce came out to give estimate and options on best forms to use. He was professional and very engaging in process. His team came out and in under 2 days they did a terrific job of transforming our drive, sidewalk and patio. We would highly recommend Bruce and his group - everything looks wonderful and they left the job site clean. Can't say enough about how great they did!

I had some difficulty with them. I think what happened was that he might have underbid the project and tried to get through it without taking up too much time and too many resources on his end. The biggest thing was that the form for the actual walk itself did not have enough support so the inside edge and some of the outside edge of the sidewalk had some flattened edges where they were supposed to be curved and did not look that great. I had a more professional guy look at it and he said the scale of their work was maybe an 8 out of 10 but I thought it was a 7 or 6 out of 10 because I am more of a perfectionist. That is my opinion. There were some other things around my gutter that he could have done that would look a little better. My wife talked with him directly about this and he asked if we were calling him a hack. We were not even trying to be combative about it. I think he was on time for the most part and he had two or three other workers with him. I did not run into any issues with the workers.

The price was good and it looked good. He was very personable and easy to work with. I did call him back and he didn't respond.

I called Bruce based on his Angie's List ratings. He provided us with good advice on how to change the look of the sidewalk up to the house, take out a side walk that really didn't need to be there, and to widen the back step. He explained that due to the bad weather and the fact that he was booked solid, he could not do our job until mid October. Lucky for us, he had a cancellation and was able to do our job almost 1 month early. Because we had short notice, we were not able to clear off the patio before they arrived. Bruce and his crew took care of this for us. The cement work looks great and many neighbors have commented on how great it looks! I would recommend Bruce to everyone!

Fabulously. Bruce Dahlgren did a fantastic job on all aspects of the project. We received our bid back in May of 2014 and Bruce told us that he wouldn't be able to complete the work until September, 2014 because of his booked schedule. He called us in early Sept as promised and came out today to do the work. Everything was completed as promised back in May and we couldn't be happier! Bruce and his crew finished the job in one day (began at 7am and finished before 3:30pm). They cleaned everything up nicely and the finished product is better than we anticipated. Bruce Dahlgren is the consummate professional, very courteous and puts the customer first. I highly recommend him and will not hesitate to call him again.

Bruce and his employees were very prompt, courteous and professional. New patio was installed......work area was left clean..........and end result looks great! I would recommend them to any one.

Absolutely painless. Responded to my initial call within 2-3 days. . Bruce and his crew arrived at the agreed upon time ready to work. Job took about a half day. Left the place cleaner than he found it.

Bruce's company did a very good job. Bruce personally kept us informed all along the way, first with respect to the start date and then during construction. He went above and beyond the call of duty by removing some old concrete steps that we originally planned to keep and did this without any additional charge. The job was completed in two days, which was amazing given the amount of work involved, but Bruce had the manpower and equipment to make it happen. They followed our architect's plan to a T, except where some modifications were needed due to small mistakes in the design or challenges with some conditions.. They did a great job keeping the site clean and removed all debris promptly. The quality of the concrete work was outstanding. I have developed a number of commercial projects myself and used lots of contractors, big and small, so I have seen it all! I would highly recommend Bruce Dahlgren Construction for any concrete project.

The job started on time as scheduled. The sidewalk was completely torn out and framed in on the first day. The next day it rained so they couldn't finish but they were back the very next day and completed the job. This company was very professional and did a great job.

As I have recently bought a fixer upper, I have dealth with MANY contractors over the past 3 months. I must say, it has been very frustrating not getting consistant services. Well, my last big project was concrete work, and Bruce and his guys did such an amazing job for me at an affordable cost, that the saying "save the best for last" truly applies here. Bruce was my last of 7 bids I got for my driveway, and he was 30-80% cheaper than the rest of the bidders. After reading his reviews, I wasnt at all worried about quality suffering by saving money. They were extremely patient with me and my changes, additions, etc, and was puntual, courteous, and explained everything they did along the way. The work is finished today, and it is absolutely beautiful. I have received sooooo many compliments over the weekend, that I am sure the referrals will follow. In such a volatile environment with contractors ranging from A to F- - - -, I can now sigh a breath of relief that my most expensive job is done, and done well. Bruce even did extra work by moving some rock around for me to save my back, and didnt even charge me. I cant say enough good things about these guys. While their may be a long wait to get work done by them now, as he said they are busy all summer, I am telling you, it WILL be worth the wait...that I can promise you

Bruce was a little late to appointment but appeared to be very experienced and knowledgable. Was very honest with us about some issues we could have with work we requested even though he would have made more money with requested amount of work. We have not had work done yet.

We live on a narrow City of Milwaukee lot. Our old driveway was cracked and broken, and sloped toward the house which resulted in some water in the basement during heavy rains. I asked for quotes from a couple of different contractors. We picked Bruce because his bid was a bit lower (his specifications were also a little bit different, which explained to me the cost difference). After doing some independent research, found that his recommendations and specifications were right on for the type of job we needed. By the way, I would have also been very willing to hire the other contractor, which we have previously used for masonry work that was done very well. Bruce's crew came out and completed the tear out and replacement of the driveway in two days. Prior to the work, he kept in touch with me about scheduling, which included a couple of delays (which were not an issue). He answered all of my questions thoroughly. The work was done very well. The new driveway looks great. He also sloped the driveway away from the house to make sure we never had anymore drainage into the basement. I would not hesitate to hire Bruce Dahlgren again in the future for concrete work.

It is very frustrating to not have someone show up for an estimate or even contact us after we called them out on it. Would not call again.

We asked for quote to replace garage floor on 4/27. Office called next day to say that rep would stop over between "jobs" on 4/29 for estimate, but would call first to make sure we were home. My husband was home all day. No call, no message, no show, nothing since.

In 2007 I used Dahlgren to install a new parking slab and walkway. Fast, professional, clean and affordable. Went above and beyond during the install when thoughts of water drainage weren't discussed during the quote process. Dahlgren used his experience and accounted for water drainage when installing the new walkway. In 2013 I used Dahlgren again to replace the apron in front of the garage and replace the front walk way and 3 steps leading to the sidewalk. Due to the business volume in 2013 it took a couple of weeks before I received a response to my request for a quote. The quote was done in person and all my questions were answered. After the work was complete, I received a phone call from Bruce Dahlgren to check my thoughts on the work. It was the same day, and I hadn't had time to really look at it, or walk on it yet. A few days later I noticed the top step was drooping down. Causing a hump across the step. While standing on the step it felt as if I was going to fall off I called Dahlgren to explain, and it was corrected immediately. His apologies were sincere. He expressed his embarrassment, to which I told him everyone makes mistakes. The reason I went with his company is I KNEW if any problems would occur, I would have no concern about it not getting corrected quickly and correctly. Everything went well from the quote to the finish.

It's been a year and a half since the job.... Great job. We had a large gravel driveway with drainage concerns and unique angles. We also had a very short timeframe to get this rather large concrete project finished within our compressed timeline and before the first freeze. There were some concerns with the weather and the fact that we had to leave town at the last minute. We discussed all of our options together and determined we would go ahead with the job. We carefully discussed the project and ensured we both had a clear understanding of the desired outcome. After all the details had been worked out, we asked for a minor addition to the project which he included without charge. Just before the project began we left town and he completed the project without our being present and was very accomidating. Anytime a question came up, he called and we worked through the details over the phone. I had a few concerns not being home during the project but upon arrival home everthing looked great. The job was completed exactly as discussed and they did a great job cleaning up, the only thing left was a brand new shiny concrete driveway. I did agree to complete the final landscaping myself so he delivered the backfill in November and I brought in the top soil and planted the grass last spring. This was the second winter since the project and we have not had any issues with shifting, cracking, or chipping. (even with this harsh winter (we use a very mixture of sand and salt for ice (very low salt)) The price was below all other estimates and so far (a year and a half later), the job has been a huge success. I can't speak for their other jobs but based on their work on my project I would absolutley have them back for my next job and would recommend them friends, family, and anyone looking for quality work at a reasonable price.

Dug everything out by hand so there was minimal disturbance to the yard. Completed a significant amount of work for my neighbor after us and hers looked great too. We're having him pour a foundation for a garage in May of 2014.

We have a long narrow driveway on a narrow city lot. The driveway was in bad condition. Bruce Dahlgren provided a quote along with a quote I received from another contractor who I have used previously. Our overall experience with Bruce and his crew was excellent. He was realistic about the chances of getting the work done this season (fortunately, the weather cooperated). He arrived when promised and his crew worked quickly and efficiently. A retired neighbor who watched the construction commented to me how well it went. Bruce was there supervising the work being performed to ensure it met the contract's requirements. Great attention to detail. Recognizing the potential for water seepage in the basement, he had the driveway graded away from the house. He also made sure that a side of the driveway abutting a brick sidewalk was shored up to keep the brick from separating. The final product looks great! Bruce answered all of my questions regarding the construction and maintenance of the driveway, which I'm confident will provide decades of use.
