Bruce is a very professional and personable person. He is entire crew was fantastic. They rocked through a large and complex concrete patio install at a very high level. They exceeded my expectations and I would hire them again in a second!

I am EXTREMELY impressed with Bruce and his team. I never expected the customer focus and communication skills demonstrated by a concrete contractor. Bruce couldn't be a nicer guy to deal with. You feel comfortable from the original quote process to the end of the job. We ran into some rain delay with the last week of soggy spring weather. Bruce called me every day, sometimes twice a day to give me updates on scheduling. They were out a total of three times for the job. Once to start excavating the dirt where the new portion of the driveway would be (this is where we ran into weather issues), second to finish excavation and form everything, and third for the pour. Each time Bruce and his team were on time and willing to answer any and all of my multiple questions. Cleanup was excellent. I came home for lunch one day while they were forming and noticed from inside Bruce and another team member cleaning off a few small dirt spots off the white garage door. I would have never cared had they left it. It speaks volumes that they are concerned about even the smallest of details. I have some obvious landscaping to take care of which was discussed prior to the job. I'd say I had about 6 contractors out for pricing. Bruce was on the higher end of the scale, although not the highest. You get what you pay for. You won't regret it!

We were very pleased with the concrete work done by Bruce and his crew. They were prompt, they worked quickly. They were considerate and cleaned up after the job. Best of all, our new walkway looks terrific and is a huge improvement!!!! Bruce and his crew did a great job for a great price.

Bruce and his team showed up on time for estimate and the work. He completed the work on time at a cost effective price point. The work completed met my expectations, but exceeded expectations for the cost.

Wonderful. Throughout the process, Bruce Dahlgren was communicating with me personally and was more responsive than ANY other contract professional that I have ever worked with. His crew is a long term team that works like a well oiled machine. They cleaned up after the job was completed and left the yard, driveway and street in immaculate condition. I would hire Bruce again and have recommended him to our neighbor for work. Well done!

Great! I contacted Mr. Dahlgren in March of 2016. He and his son came out, inspected the work, gave me some good suggestions and sent me a quote soon afterwards. I did not get back with him until August 2016, quote price was still good. He is professional and walks you through the process and stays in contact throughout. I've attached a before and after shot. Hope they show up. I highly recommend him!

We were very pleased with the entire project. Bruce Dahlgren gave us a firm estimate and let us know it would be about 2 months until he would be able to get to our job. We were prepared to wait, but fortunately for us, a window opened and our job was done at least a month early. The crew worked continuously and methodically. We are very happy with our finished product. The crew cleaned up well before they left.

We could not have been more satisfied with the job they did! From the very beginning, Bruce was so easy to work with. He explained what would be done, how long it would take, and agreed to work around our schedule. When we set the date, they showed up on time, had the old floor out before noon, and the new one completed ahead of schedule on the very same day! It has been done now for more than three months, and we are very happy with it. We were very satisfied with the price, and feel we received a very good value. They also made some improvements to the way the floor was designed that we are very pleased with. His crew had an excellent working relationship; you could tell they have worked together for many years. In fact, Bruce commented that his crew has been with him for so long that it has been many years since he has had to hire anyone. If we ever need more concrete work done, we would definitely hire the Bruce Dahlgren Company!

Bruce responded promptly to my vm message and scheduled an appointment to give us an estimate. He was very informative and personable. He said he would mail us a written contract. That was a week ago and we have not received it.

Excellent. I called Bruce based on other reviews on Angie's list. Bruce came out on a Saturday, spent about an hour walking around the house, talking with me, offering idea's, measuring, and writing an estimate. His estimate was $6400, which was inline with all but one of the other estimates which was much higher. I choose to work with Bruce because I liked the way he approached the work and the plan he suggested. However, he was booked for 2 months out, so I had to wait for them to become available. When he called 2 weeks earlier than I expected, I was quite pleased. He came back again, on the Saturday before the work was to start, and walked through the project with me again, mark out where everything would be. Told me they would come Tuesday around 7:30, and they arrived at 7:20, started work, and checked with me a few times through out the day to make sure I was happy with the work. Demonstrated the slope to make sure water would run away from the house, how the expansion joints were placed, and even the radius of the form for the approach to the house. Services included demolition of a small patio, 2 car driveway, the approach to the front door, and step. They poured a fiber reinforced cement, applied a brushed finish, a finished edge on part of the driveway, and applied a sealer. All in a single day.

HE POURED CONCRETE FOR OUR FRONT & BACK PORCH WITH A PARTIAL SIDEWALK IN THE BACK. HE ALSO DID OUR DUPLEX SIDEWALK IN THE FRONT & AROUND THE SIDE OF THE DUPLEX. IT WAS ALL DONE PROFESSIONAL & THE GUYS CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELF. HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING BEFORE HAND. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM AGAIN.

This is the third time I've hired Bruce to do a job for me. The experience has always been a pleasure. I think partly because I'm realistic about schedules and prices, and partly because Bruce does what he says he will at a fair price. I needed a sidewalk and patio poured in my back yard. I was concerned that my fence would be in the way, or possibly get damaged during the work. The fence is fine, not a scratch. Bruce and his crew did a great job, they dug the area out by and on a Tuesday morning, and cleaning up everything when they were done. He returned a few days later to pour because the weather forecasts were calling for rain. They poured and finished the concrete in one morning, and I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. We still need to deal with the fill and grass around the patio, but when that's done, it's going to look great. Bruce is a professional, and he has a great crew working for him. I would hire him again without hesitating.

Porch still looks great 3 yrs later! Highly recommend.

Bruce came in early June to give us a quote, that we were happy with. He told us at the time that he was unavailable until after August 15th. He were fine with that as long as it was completed by the end of August. He called just before that to set up a date for the following week. He came with a crew of about 4 guys (all very professional, unlike crew a neighbor used who were swearing all day..). They tore out on a Monday and due to his concern about weather and inspection, secured the pouring for 2 days later. Bruce was a nice, professional guy and worked done looks great.

We got an estimate early in the spring for the sidewalk/driveway project. The estimated price was valid for several months which did not pressure us to make a hasty decision. Bruce was very good at returning phone calls, even during the height of his busy season. He came out two days prior to the actual work date to verify everything with us. His crew was very pleasant and courteous which is always a plus. Any questions we had during the project, Bruce happily answered. Since Bruce has been in the business a number of years, we trusted his professional advice on any questions that arose.

Bruce was very responsive in returning my call and coming out to give me an estimate. I wanted to move/reroute my front sidewalk to save a tree. He explained in detail how he would do the work and what materials he would use. He and his crew showed up at 7:30 am on the day he said they would do the work. He used heavy 4'x8' fiberglass or plastic mats to protect the grass from the Bobcat's wheels. They broke up and removed the old sidewalk, dug out the path for the new sidewalk, and even dug out an adjacent area for me that wasn't in the contract. All concrete and dirt was hauled away in his dump trucks. He set the forms in a nicely curved path rather than just a straight line. He even had my wife come out at look at it to be sure she liked it too. The concrete was poured before 11:00 am and they cleaned up their equipment, and did not leave any mess for me to deal with. It started raining before they were done with the final finishing and it only took them a couple of minutes to have the whole thing covered in plastic. After the rain stopped they finished it off, sealed it, and removed the forms. The sidewalk looks great and they left no mess for me to clean up. Bruce and his crew are hard working, smart, and very experienced. Bruce was very easy to work with and I would recommend him to anyone. I give him an A++ rating.

Mr. Dahlgren was very responsive and professional in all our dealings with him. He responded to our initial call very quickly and scheduled an estimate within a couple of days. He showed up on time and was very pleasant. Our job was a relatively small job for his company and he said that he would fit us in working around other jobs if that was okay with us. We said that it was fine as long as the job was done before winter set in this year. He called us this week ( in August) to say that he could fit our job in during the week. His crew showed up on time and completed the work in a half a day. They worked under less than great conditions ( 90 degree heat and road work in the neighborhood). They did a great job on the walks and also tweaked them for better aesthetics . We were very pleased with the work. We would recommend his company to anyone and would not hesitate to uses them again ourselves. They were great to deal with from beginning to end!

IT WENT GREAT, THIS WAS FOR A PATIO IN THE BACKYARD. I WAS TOLD LATER AROUND AUGUST. IT WAS DONE BEAUTIFULLY. I WOULD RECOMMEND BRUCE AGAIN.

I received 4 estimates for this project. Bruce was in the middle with price, but I chose to go with him because he was very thorough and seemed to take pride in the work he did. It took 2 days to complete the work. Bruce was always present and involved. We had an issue the first day: while breaking up the garage floor with a bobcat, part of the slab pushed against the foundation of the house and pushed the top row of foundation cinder blocks in about 1/2" inside the basement. We were able to pound them back with a 2x4 and heavy hammer. Other then this the rest of the work went smooth, and when finished looked good. 6 months later I noticed a crack in the middle of the driveway that extended through the middle of 4 slabs. I also notice that the control joints in this area had not cracked like they were supposed to. I talked to another concrete contractor who did a similar project at a family members house and they figured that either the control joints were not deep enough or the base was not packed evenly. I called Bruce on 6/2/2015 and informed him of the issue. He stated that it was a cold winter and cracks happen, but would come down and look at it. I have not heard from Bruce since that phone call. Of the 3 neighbors that had their driveway done during the same time only mine has cracked in half and appears to be crumbling along the crack. Pictures of the crack are attached below. If I do hear from Bruce and find a solution to this I will update this review.
