Description of Work: Replaced water heater, then trouble with drain, water meter. really added up, though were things that needed to be done. Concern was their subcontracting for chimney vent, who failed to properly vent, leading to failed inspection and furnace going out several times.

Description of Work: Number one, they were an hour late. Number two, it was a young kid and I really don't think he knew what he was doing. When he went downstairs, he brought his machine immediately instead of going first to check it out. He went over to the area and was trying to open the clean out valve. I left the room for a few minutes. When I came back, he was beating it the opening with a sledge hammer. He tried going the other way, worked on that for I would say, a half hour, 45 minutes. After about 35 minutes, I went upstairs. An hour later, I went back downstairs. At that point he had a chisel and a five pound hammer. All he was doing was chiseling the edge of the trap door. That was on Friday. I will not hvae them back again. I was very dissatisfied. He did talk and act professionally it just seemed he was in the wrong profession. If he would have completed the work, the price would have been probably a B+. I will not hvae them back again.

I TRUSTED YOUR REFERRAL OF BLAU AND FAILED TO CALL ANYONE ELSE AND ACCEPTED BLAU'S PRICE (MY FAULT). I CALLED AROUND THE NEXT DAY AND EVERYONE I CALLED QUOTED ME A PRICE OF LESS THAN $550 FOR THE SAME SERVICE. I KNOW THIS IS MY OWN FAULT FOR NOT CALLING AROUND BUT PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT REFER BLAU TO ANY OTHER ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER AS THEY CHARGED ME $400 MORE THAN THE NEXT HIGHEST PLUMBER. P.S. ALSO, THE TECHNICIAN SWORE WHILE HE WAS WORKING AND MY CHILDREN HEARD HIM.

PLUMBER USED PLASTIC PIPES FROM SHUT-OFF VALVES TO FAUCET WHICH, IN MY OPINION, WAS SUBSTANDARD. THE HOT WATER FLOW WAS A TRICKLE WHEN THE PLUMBER LEFT.
