Art and his team repaired several sections of brick on my 1920s Tudor house (tuck pointing) and also re-built my lannon stone front stoop, which was starting to degrade and have stones pop up. From our initial call, Art was professional, got back to me very quickly, provided a detailed description of what needed to be done, and completed the work when he said he would. The stoop looks great and it’s a relief to have the tuck pointing done by someone who clearly knows what they’re doing. I would definitely recommend him and will use him again!

I hired Art Karos LLC to rebuild my chimney and do some tuck pointing for me. First off, he was out to provide an estimate to me within 2 days of initial contact. I had the estimate the same day. The work they did was excellent. All of the mason's I talked to told me the brick used on my house is king brick and not longer available. If figured I'd end up with a brick that was shorter by a similar color. I was totally surprised when I looked at the chimney. You couldn't tell a difference. The chimney looks gorgeous. They also did some tuck pointing for me in the basement which also looks very excellent. The best part was that when they left, you could not tell that they had been there. Everything was cleaned up and in the same condition as when they arrived. Will definitely use them again and telling everyone who needs a mason to contact Art.

We needed to have a new chimney built and tuckpoint the entire house.Art's team was great. We requested a quote online and received a very timely response with a quote. They came and it looks fabulous. Price for the work performed seemed fair. We will definitely use Art and his team again.

It was like brand new after service!

My brick house had deep holes in the mortar from years of Wisconsin weather. I tried to fill the holes with mortar from a big box store but it looked awful and did not match. I researched Art and saw that he had good reviews and decided to hire his company. Boy, was I ever glad that I did. They were on time and matched the existing mortar. It is very tedious work but the workers were always up beat. It took a couple of days because all 4 sides had some really bad areas that needed to be addressed. They also sprayed a sealant. My house looks like it should now. Leave it to the experts:)

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Art’s Chimney and Stone Work. When I called to set up an appointment for an estimate on my project, he said there was no need to wait and he would stop over at the end of his work day. This meant battling through rush hour traffic in the complete opposite of his business and home. His estimate was incredibly reasonable and I hired him on the spot. Today Art and his team came out and completed some back patching on my foundation and replaced the crown on my chimney. While this was the only work he was contracted to complete, he noticed a number of spots where patching was needed on my concrete stairs and in some gaps between my sidewalk and foundation. Art pointed these out and said he would fix them at no additional charge. While here, he picked up lunch for his crew and surprised my father, who is visiting and unfamiliar with the area, with a sandwich as well. He also said he would send out one of his employees to paint a window that is in need of repair. The final product looks beautiful and his kindness was second to none. I give Art’s Chimney and Stone Work my highest recommendation.

These guys were great. The owner, Art, was very helpful and was in constant communication. His son, Mike, kept me informed as to what they were going to do each day. We had a minor problem when stone dust got into our home while they were cutting up the stone cap on one of my chimneys and Art had a carpet and upholstery cleaner come over and clean up the residue on the carpets and furniture. The rest of the crew was very approachable and friendly and responsive to my requests. They even touched up some tuck pointing on my home I had done previously which was not done very well. I was very pleased with the work that was done and would hire these guys in an instant for any future repair or maintenance that I will need for my brick or stone work.

Amazing doesn't even begin to describe how great of a job Art's team did. Our house really needed some TLC and Art's team came in with about 5 crew members and in one day did an amazing, excellent professional job for a very fair price. I would hire them again and again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Excellent service from Art and his crew. I made a downpayment on the repairs last fall, and they put me first on the list this spring. Highly competent crew. Finished the work in two days. Price included spray sealant on the chimney. Good color match on the bricks. Would hire again!

These guys are the best. Art was very responsive and made scheduling the site visit a breeze. He came out with his repairman Dieter and they were both super knowledgeable and professional. They made a tricky job look easy. Highly recommended!

Despite an initial miscommunication on timing, Art and a colleague arrived yesterday to fill in the cracks with caulk and sand to seal them from possible moisture damage. It looks good and we are relieved that we should have protection from melting ice and snow over the winter. They seemed to be detail oriented and concerned about doing a professional job that will last.

Because of this inspection Arts Chimney and Stonework saves me $2500.

Art's crew did a great job at filling in the numerous cracks around the house. In addition, we discovered that a previous owner of the house had "repaired" the cracks using calk, which was both unsightly and ineffective. Art's crew had to work harder at fixing these cracks because first they had to remove the calk from the previous repair job. After the cracks were repaired and filled, the house looked so much better! They did a good job at getting a close color match to the mortar. In addition, Art's crew took down the chimney and rebuilt it. During the initial assessment and estimate, Art was able to see that the chimney was problematic and he pointed out to us how not only were there cracks visible from the ground looking up, but also an uneven brick line indicated that the chimney needed to be replaced. We are so thankful for Art's eagle eye because as it turns out, when his crew accessed the roof (a very steep roof) to remove the chimney, they discovered that the chimney was held together not with mortar but with calk! Because of the dubious calk repair that a previous owner had made, the chimney was not only unsightly, it was causing water to leak into the house and was structurally unsafe. The new chimney that Art's crew installed is wonderful. There are no more leaks and we feel confident that it will last for many decades because it is made with brick and mortar and made by skilled professionals. Working with Art and his crew was a pleasure.

I needed the firebricks in the fireplace re-mortared and a large stone on the front of the house had shifted and needed to be reset and tuck pointed. They showed up as scheduled and completed the jobs quickly.

In June of this year Art and his team tuck pointed my home and replaced window sills. They did an excellent job. When I tore out some shrubs that were over grown I noticed a very small area of my home that needed tuck pointing that Art missed. There is something you need to know about Art: Every job he does he needs it to be absolutely perfect. He is incredibly meticulous and cares about his clients. I called him up and he was VERY apologetic and said he would get his guys out early this next week to touch up the house. He asked how my job was doing, how my family was. Art cares about his clients. Sure enough, two days later, the guys stopped by and touched up the house. His employees thanked me for my business and apologized for missing this small area that my bushes had covered. I can't get over how great Art is as a contractor. Not only can his work be trusted but so can Art.

Art was very patient with all our questions about what was to be done. Expectations were met. The work crew was efficient, did their job well and finished ahead of schedule. The color of the mortar was a great match with that on the house. They did a fantastic job on the clean-up. Art stopped by to go over the completed project to make sure everything was completed as expected. We were impressed with the results and would highly recommend him and his team to anyone needing masonry work.
