He was very fair in the price and flexible, he came out to do the dishwasher, found out that there was just a piece of glass stuck in it and cleaned out really quickly so he didn't charge me and he also helped me fix the problem with the setting with my refrigerator so he got to do 2 things at once. The person I dealt with was very trustworthy, I think he's the owner and the only worker in the company, he's very knowledgeable about different things, you don't get the feeling that he's just trying to sell you something or upsell on repairs. He came out early.

He received high marks in all categores. Very responsive, capable, and professional. He came over to our house at a convenient time for us. We recommend him.

The washer gasket was old and moldy, thanks to a previous owner, and I secured the gasket from the manufacture. I called All City and informed them of my situation and stated that they would be able to come out and fix the gasket during initial visit / inspection of the appliances. He did state that he had a flat service charge but that fee would be built into the repair charge as this task was very straight-forward. Upon arrival the tech was able to remove the old gasket and replace with the new one quickly. It was a simple fix but it was great peace of mind knowing that the fix was an easy one. He also provided tips on how to keep the washing machine from becoming moldy as new owners of the house. In regards to the freezer, he was able to quickly diagnose the problem as a malfunctioning main circuit board. He stated that he could fix the problem but it would be a significant cost and it would be worth my while financially to think about a new refrigerator/freezer first. I appreciated his honesty and candor in regards to this fix.

I called All City to repair my Frigidaire dryer. Michael examined the dryer and discovered the problem. He had to order the part necessary to fix the dryer but was back within two days to complete the job. The service was great and price was fair. Great job Michael!

Michael was great. Less then 24 hours after I called he arrived on time and diagnosed the problem within minutes. Before he began the repairs he broke the cost down in what I am paying for in parts and labor. I liked knowing that. He had it fixed in less then 45 minutes. While he was repairing the dryer he examined the dryer for other problems. He gave me a written guarantee that if the dryer breaks down within the year he would repair the dryer and not charge for labor, you pay for the parts only. I say that's pretty good considering the National repair companies give only a 90 day guarantee. I have been that road and it's not fun. I forgot to mention he also checked the vent outside my home, which is snow filled and messy. An unexpected perk. I would definitely call him again.

We love the vintage stove, so we were especially glad to have someone who was willing to install the element. A lot of the other repair places wouldn't touch a smaller job like this.

My washing machine had gotten out of balance, and was rockin' and rollin' horribly during the wash cycle. All City Appliance sent a very polite and knowledgeable young man to fix it. He arrived exactly at the time committed. After he adjusted the feet, and rebalanced the tub, everything worked fine. I was very satisfied with the service.

Overal I could not have asked for a better experience, extremely happy that I did not need to purchase an entirely new dryer.

The tech arrived within the stated time frame with the proper part to fix our oven. He was friendly and professional.

Michael answered the call right away and I explained the problem. He came the next day, and showed up on time, to check out the two issues (ice maker and water dispenser not working). After looking at our refrigerator he said it needed a valve to fix the ice maker issue. He called his office right away to check on the price of the part and then told me how much the total would be to fix it. He did not have the part with him so would have to come back. He offered to come the next day (Saturday) or Monday (Christmas Eve day). We went with the next day (Saturday) and he said he would arrive between 10am - 12pm. For the water dispenser, he said the line was frozen and would just need to be thawed out by turning off the machine for several hours. He arrived at about 12:25pm on Saturday. The only reason for the lower grade on the punctuality score since the time frame given was between 10am - 12pm. Normally, not a big deal but our 2 year old takes her nap usually starting between 12:30pm - 1pm and was put down shortly after he arrived and subsequently didn't go to sleep for quite a while due to the noise. There wasn't much noise but enough to keep her awake. However, he did call right at noon to say he was running late and still needed to go back to his office to pick up the part needed for the repair. We are grateful though that he came on Saturday. Overall, he gets an A. He installed the new part only to discover that the part was not the issue but our water feed having low volume/pressure. So, he didn't charge us for the part or labor to install, only the sevice call. His recommendation was to install a new, heavier duty shut off valve in the basement to get better water flow. What we had was one of those cheap "T" valves that pierce the copper pipe as you crank it in the first time. We replaced that a couple days later on our own and thawed out the water line for the water dispenser. Both the ice maker and water dispenser work great now. How he handled this was professional and honorable. He could have easily charged us for the part and labor and told us that was the issue but he took the high road. Any time I need appliance repair, I'll be calling Michael.

Overall, the quality of the work performed was excellent and Michael Grimshaw is a talented appliance repair specialist. He was able to take on the repair of a more specialized appliance that other repair technicians wouldn't. He was unable to respond the same day, but I won't hold that against him because of the special order part needed. None of the other techs we talked to were able to get out the same day either. He came out the following day. After finding three repairmen on Angie's list that were willing to take on the job, we selected Michael based on responsiveness and price. Problem is, when he arrived the price was higher than quoted. I confronted this and he became unprofessionally upset talking down to me about how I was making a stink over a small amount (I don't remember exactly, somewhere around $8 - $12 I think). I pushed the subject and mentioned that another repair man quoted me a lower price than this and he didn't flinch. Then we were stuck. If I kicked him out, there would have been a visit charge (again I don't remember exactly, but somewhere between $40 - $60). Fine, I gave in seeing that now the solutions were to pay $40 for some masculine show of pride, or just pay the extra amount and get our washer fixed. We got it fixed. The quality of work was excellent and his warranty is great (we haven't needed it, which is great). Happy with his work, but will not be using him again based on the unprofessional attitude.

I called and spoke with owner (Michael) on Friday, October 19, 2012 concerning an evaluation and hopeful repair of my washing machine. It was full of water and would not go into any other cycle than wash. He was very professional on the phone. We made an appointment for the following day between 10:00am and 12:00pm, He said he would call when he was on his way. He called around 11:00am and said he would be at my condo by 11:45. He arrived at 11:40. Again, he was very professional. He went right to work. He figured out the problem and gave me an estimate. He completely explained the problem which was exactly what I had figured. He made the repair and returned the washer back to its location. He was excellent. On a side note, I asked him about another problem with my dish washer. he took a look and explained what was happening and how I could fix it. He did not even hint at charging me for the time he took at looking at the dishwasher. Once again, very professional and customer service oriented. He is my new appliance repair man. I highly recommend him.

After I describe it to Michael, he practically diagnosed the problem over the phone! This meant that he zeroed in a the problem quickly and efficiently. He ordered a part that was in the next morning and promptly installed the part all before 10AM. This is the second time I have used him and I will use him again. He is a very earnest man which I greatly appreciate.

He was able to diagnose and repair the broken latch -and showed me what broke and why. He repaired it better than it was built!! Also showed me how to easily replace light bulb (because it will prbbly burn out soon, but saving us $$ by not coming back out here a second time)

Overall the experience was excellent.

It went very well. In fact, we didn't need a repair at all and when they came to the house, they immediately said our problem was that the outlet hose fell out of the utility sink causing the washing machine to continue cycling. We appreciate that they came out within 24 hours of our initial call and didn't jerk us around when all that needed to be fixed was the outlet hose placement. They suggested we weigh down the hose using a brick and some string/rope and we shouldn't have a problem again.

I called when my dryer stopped working. They had someone at my house an hour later. He fixed the dryer belt and replaced a broken part quickly. I also paid to have the vent cleaned. While he was there he also fixed an existing problem with my washer feet. Both the washer and dryer run much better now. The whole experience was excellent. I would definitely use them again.

Scheduling the day after call. Ws able to come before scheduled time, Completed work promptly and cleaned up the area.

Read the code on the washer and completed the work in a short period of time. So far, no additional problems. While the fee was a bit on the high side, the warranty and personal attention was worth it. If anything goes wrong within a year, I understand that he will come repair at no cost.
