+ -1 moreThey do a good job on the lawn with their mowing service. But the billing is inconsistent. Invoices show up irregularly with random billing periods. When I called to question this, I was told that their billing is rarely on time or regular but that will never change and there's nothing they can do about it. Not the best customer service, but decent lawn team.
Description of Work: Weekly lawn care including mowing, deweeding, edging, etc.

+ -1 moreThe front yard is divided into two parts. There is a smaller side and a larger side. On the smaller side, the grass did grow, but it was more of a twitch grass. On the larger side, the grass did not grow well at all and there are now a lot of large, bare spots. We had found complaints on Angie's List regarding sub-standard application and poor responsiveness. We also checked the BBB, and discovered an unsatisfied customer report on their site. Eventually, when we had called several times, they finally did offer to come out and plant more grass seed and lay more straw for an additional $400.00, which was outrageous as the job was not properly finished the first time. We are requsting a refund of $350.00 because we don't want them to come back here.
Description of Work: They were supposed to put top soil over our entire front yard, paying particular attention to covering tree roots. They were then supposed to roll the lawn down flat in order to lay new grass seed and straw.

+ -1 moreCurrently I have two crooked retainer walls , no resolution has of 7/02/012. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL , SCAM ARTIST BUSINESS.VERY , VERY , VERY unsatisfied with the work and I will not stop until I receive STRAIGHT RETAINER WALLS.
Description of Work: On June 4, 2012 , I contacted All Care Service Corp, for an estimate for a retaining wall on both side of my driveway. I supplied all brick and landscaping glue , we just needed an estimate for the labor. On June 5, 2012 , the company sent out the estimator Florencio Garcia , he gave us an estimate of $623.04 , I thought this estimate was a little steep seeing how I was supplying all the materials.On June 11, 2012 All Care Service Corp came out to start the job . It was ALL DOWN HILL FROM THEIR, in the middle of the job I asked the foreman why he was not installing the glue , he said they do not glue the bricks RED FLAG #1. I was told that I would need additional bricks for the retaiiner wall to look right ok , I notice after I came back with the bricks that they was packing up to leave , I asked the foreman to look how crooked the wall was ,he told me that he would be back at at early the next morning RED FLAG #2 ok I am left with crooked retainer walls and big patches of dirt missing from behind the bricks.THE NEXT MORNING I GET A CALL FROM DAVE STATED THAT THEY WILL NOT COME BACK OUT UNTIL WE GET AN UNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE EXTRA BRICKS I NEED TO PAY THEM AN ADDTIONAL FEE , REALLY , HUH.My contract states that customer will supply the bricks , the will do the labor. Dave has been unreasonable , the company has been unreasonable. After calling back and forth , back and forth , emailing them the work , sending them the pictures They ended up bringing me dirt to fill in the brick but I stilll have two very crooked retainer walls and no resolution. Even DAVE looked at the walls and said they are crooked but it is the bricks , I explained to him that they are the same exact bricks that I purchased from Menards and they display is not crooked , my neighbor has the same bricks her landscaper installed her bricks and the are STRAIGHT!!WHAT KIND OF SCAM ARTIST BUSINESS IS THISI paid for a service and the service was not rendered at all , their is no SOLUTION with ALL CARE SERVICE CORP , they are expecting me to live with CROOKED RETAINER WALLS , that is not fair to me the consumer AT ALL.

+ 0 moreIt didn't go. They quoted me a price then when it came time to do the work, they said it was too hard and they couldn't do what was in quoted.
Description of Work: Bait and switch. After meeting for a quote and calling me at least 5 times to schedule the job, they show up and say they can't do it -- too difficult. I think they were trying to get more money so I told them to get lost. They had even put the quote in writing, but the person who wrote the quote wasn't the one who showed up for the job. The ones who showed up didn't speak enough English for me to bother trying to show them the written quote. Not recommended.

+ -1 moreThis was a great experience, as far as tree removals go. We received an estimate the same day we called. The price was unbeatable--other companies wanted more that $1000 to do the work. They showed up when promised, worked quickly, and cleaned up all the mess. I would highly recommend this company.

The price was about even with another company, but they were able to complete the work sooner. On the day the work was done, the employees arrived on time, completed the work efficiently, and cleaned up when they were done.

+ -1 moreWhen I called for the estimate, I was told that the estimator would be out in the "next couple days." There had been a lot of storm damage in the area that day and this wasn't an emergency, so I didn't mind waiting a little bit. However, it has now been a week and still no one has come to give us an estimate. I would never call them again; they're obviously quite unreliable.
Description of Work: One of our trees sustained some damage during a recent storm and has two large limbs broken and hanging down to the ground. Also, a portion of our yard was overgrown with tall grass and weeds when we moved in, so we wanted this area rough cut and the debris hauled away.

+ -1 moreAllcare mowed our lawn twice, but we canceled with them after the second time. Their price seemed a bit on the high side and they did an extremely poor job on top of that. The first time they came, they drove a large mower down a sidewalk that had Pachysandra on each side, but they didn't bother to shut off the mower, so they mowed all our Pachysandra within about a foot of each edge of the sidewalk. The second time they came, it was about an hour after it had been raining for nearly two days straight and they left tracks in our yard that took almost a month to disappear. Our yard was green-and-brown striped for weeks. I know sometimes it's unavoidable for them to mow when it's wet, but this seemed excessive - I'm sure they could have waited at least a few more hours.
Description of Work: Regular weekly lawn mowing, trimming, etc. for approximately 3/4 acre lot.

+ -1 moreThey came out quickly (two days) after the initial call, and seemed very knowledgeable. I wanted a shrub transplanted, they advised it would not survive. They gave me an estimate on removing it ($168, shrub removal and stump grinding, the estimate was free). I decided to keep the shrub, so didn't have them do any work (though no fault of theirs).

+ -1 moreThey did a fine job and in a timely manner. They were prompt at returning my calls, and courteous. The only part I didn't like was that there was no written estimate AND no written work order, everything was done on the phone. I called and described the location, they came out and looked a couple days later when I wasn't home, then called with the estimate and I said go ahead, and they came a few days later and removed the tree, then sent a bill in the mail. Really, I could have called and asked them to remove a tree in anyone's yard and the work would be done before the stranger could protest! This seems a bit unprofessional.
Description of Work: Removed a medium sized evergreen tree from my back yard (could not grind up and remove stump because machine was 36'' wide an my back yard's gate is only 31'').

+ 1 moreI have always found Mr Wahley and his crews to be high quality and hard working and reasonably priced. They will clear a downed tree as well as remove dead specimens. They respond to suggestions and compaints quickly and politely. I can always reach Dave quickly and often in person if i call early in the morning. Not all workers can speak fluent English but they manage to understand my requests on sight in spite of that. I would not suggest them for technical arborist work but anything else I have no hesitancy to recommend them highly. Almost any yard and exterior work is of interest to ALLCare. I read the complaint about Dave not being flexible because he doesn't plow snow. Yes, its true, he doesn't have a plow but lots of other service providers do and I suggest Silver Spray Garage in Mequon.
Description of Work: Dave Wahley and his crews has worked for us for 20 years. They do lawn and yard care weekly which includes mowing 2 acres, trimming, and leaf blowing ($69.00 per visit). Yearly we have fertilizing, spring and fall clean-ups and winter tree removals. They are able to do a wide range of services such as mulch delivery and application, blacktop, landscaping, and gutter cleaning. I wonder if they might wash windows if I asked in the winter.

+ -1 moreWE ORIGINALLY SPOKE WITH ALLCARE ON A SATURDAY, RECEIVED A PRICE QUOTE AND WERE TOLD THAT THE FOREMAN WOULD BE OUT THE COMING WEEK TO DO THE WORK. WHEN NO ONE SHOWED UP AFTER 10 DAYS, WE CALLED AGAIN. IT TOOK ANOTHER 2 DAYS FOR SOMEONE TO GET BACK TO US, THEN ANOTHER FEW DAYS FOR SOMEONE TO ACTUALLY COME OUT. WHEN THE WORKER CAME OUT, HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE PRICE WE WERE QUOTED. HE DID THE JOB FAST AND WAS EFFICIENT AND CLEAN, BUT THERE WAS SUCH A LACK OF COMMUNICATION IT WAS FRUSTRATING.

OTHER WORK IS CHARGED BY THE HOUR. THEY ARE ALSO WILLING TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE PER THE JOB RATHER THAN BY THE HOUR TOO.
