+ -1 moreStarted out well. Gentlemen was on time and completed the work as promised. Tub looked good, BUT.. Only after 2 months, the tub started bubbling and pealing. Any attempts to reach Rick for warranty fixes were not successful (multiple phone calls with messages and emails). As it stands today, this was a complete waste of our money since we will need to hire someone else to redo the job. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

+ -1 moreRick arrived promptly, surveyed what had to be done, and did an excellent job. He had to chemically clean/remove the old refinish as it was peeling & in very bad shape before he could apply the new finish. He explained how to care for the tub, and when it could be used (curing time). He also left written information concerning what cleaning products to use & to avoid, and other information on how to care for the surface to prolong it's finish. The tub and the window sills look great, and I could not be more pleased.
Description of Work: Refinished a 61 year old bathtub that had previously been refinished in 1996. Removed the caulk & redid it where the tile surround meets vertically (I had done a terrible job with that). Refinished 2 bull nosed tile window sills in my kitchen that were the wrong color for my decor.

+ -1 moreThe job done was sloppy & looked liked paint that had run. The surface of the tub feels like sandpaper. Called them to fix it - they came back on 7/12/11 - the job was worse than the first time. Called them to come back and fix it right and to send a different person out. Shannon told me that they only have one person who does residental - Rick - she told me that she heard Rick complain about a part on the sprayer needing fixed. We rescheduled for 7/23/11 but I had to cancel (left message) & asked to be called back for a date to finish the tub correctly. As of this date 8/16/2011 I have not had a returned call from this company. I have called almost daily leaving messages for them to call me back. I would never recommend this company to anyone!

+ -1 moreAKL did a great job. I called in the morning just to see if they do bathtubs and they had a technician out that afternoon. I was given an estimate over the phone and that's exactly what I payed. The technician was prompt, courteous, and quick. He made sure I was happy with the repair. They did a perfect match on the tub. No one will be able to tell there was a hole there. I am very satisfied.
