ACCURATE HEATING & COOLING INC

These guys had handled the servicing of my swamp cooler last year and had to come back several times over the summer, sometimes within a week of work to make some adjustments to the previous work, but did eventually get me running fine by roughly mid-summer. Every employee I encountered from phone to service was always extremely nice to work with, & I appreciate that they offer a customer loyalty program. I decided to get a different company to start up my unit, but I did not tell them anything other than wanting to get a start up, though the reason I was trying another company was in hopes to avoid the multiple service situations I ended up with previously with Accurate. This new company indicated that the winterization of my unit was not done well and that a piece with the drain hole was broken and going to cost me to get repaired. As the inspection continued there was a rust hole discovered that was reportedly unrepairable and that the entire unit was actually too rusted out to be used and would need to be replaced. I asked how it could possibly be end of life when I had never been told this the previous two years from other services, and the new company indicated that Accurate should have been able to see how bad it was when they were working on it last year and should have let me know it was at the point of end of life. I called Accurate and asked if they could come look at the unit in re: to these claims. The owner for Accurate graciously came out . Before they made it out, I had my handyman look at it to have an independent opinion. It was his opinion that the swamp cooler was NOT end of life, that the amount of rust was expected and normal wear on the unit, AND that the rust hole was in fact an easy fix and that the unit would be fine for several more years. He also didn't see what the new company could have been talking about in re: to a broken piece with the drain hole other than the tubing having been taken out during winterization and that he didn't see that as being an issue or bad procedure. He in effect validated the work that Accurate had done on the unit last year (not including the situations for them having to come back out to adjust their work). The owner for Accurate provided the same information that my handyman had provided without knowing in regards to the unit NOT being end of life and had almost the exact same fix for the small rust hole during his assessment. He never talked bad about the other company that was throwing his company under the bus, didn't get defensive and I didn't get the sense that he was trying to convince me otherwise. He offered a fair and reasonable explanation of costs to get the unit running with very helpful information and was very understanding to the situation. I would recommend Accurate for their professionalism and commitment to customer service.
