Aamco Transmissions - Milwaukee

Description of Work: rebuilt my engine, replaced coolant reservoir and vacuum lines, transmission repairs, etc... i took my car in for a critical check engine light that was flashing. they never fixed it so that the light turned off and by the time i was done with them, i had to take my vehicle in 4 more times for issues that happened to come up afterward. by the time i had a vehicle i could drive again, i paid out $2500 and my check engine light was still on. i had the vehicle checked by another service shop and found out the replacement parts were not replaced, just painted, the wrong coolant was used, i'm missing engine mounting bolts and now my vehicle is not running again! same issues as before except now, i have to buy a new car.

Description of Work: We use Aamco Transmissions. Right now, our truck is still there for engine replacement, so it is still in progress.

Description of Work: It's rare to find a repair shop that goes beyond the need to make a profit and shows that are also looking out for the best interests of their customers. I recently spent a few hours in the waiting room of this transmission and repair shop and was really impressed with the multiple examples of how they were willing to work with the customers and help them out wherever they could. I came in with a scary transmission issue that was easily resolved by replacing a couple sensors. I knew that the brakes also needed some attention. The problem was diagnosed and they were willing to do a more simple repair than replacing the whole caliper. Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem, but when I brought it back a few days later, the technician spent a couple more hours poring over the issue, and eventually taking all the brake hardware off of both front wheels and switching sides. This has solved the problem somehow, and they never even brought up a charge for the service to make the repair right. It did take some time, but I couldn't have asked for any better service.
