I WISH THAT THE CONTRACTOR WOULD HAVE COME TO ME AND ASKED TO REOPEN THE BIDDING WHEN HE REALIZED HE'D BID TOO LOW. INSTEAD HE CUT CORNERS AND DIDN'T DO A COMPLETE JOB.
Description of Work: REBUILD PORCH RAILINGS THAT WERE ROTTING AWAY. THIS INVOLVED REPLACING TOP AND BOTTOM RAILS AND REUSING SPINDLES. CONTRACTOR'S BID WAS TOO LOW, SO RATHER THAN DISCUSS AND RAISE TO DO A THOROUGH JOB, THE CONTRACTOR SKIMPED AND CUT CORNERS AND DIDN'T DO A COMPLETE JOB. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE END PRODUCT. I AM LEFT WITH MUCH PATCHING UP TO DO. CONTRACTOR IS GOOD FOR HANDYMAN JOBS, BUT IS NOT A FINISH CARPENTER.
