Since I would be out of town, he came for an estimate on a Sunday. A competitor required two weeks to come for a quote and then made an offer for more than twice the price! Once the agreement was signed, the work was completed is less than two weeks. It looks good, the price was right and the work was done as agreed.

Called, came promptly for estimate, promptly to do work. Always showed up when they said they would.

I called on Monday morning for an estimate, he arrived on time the same day and was able to complete the work the following day. Great to work with, very friendly, respectable and knowledgable about the work. We will hire them again in the future for more tuck pointing and masonry on the house.

I felt the stone cleaning was overpriced given the short amount of time they spent working on it, even if the specialized cleaning product they used was as expensive as they said it was ($200+), but the fact that they also did not charge me for coming back the third time to install the fireplace enclosure (which took two hours) probably balanced it out. The stone and mortar edges of the fireplace are jagged while the edges of the enclosure are srtaight, so the spaces must be filled in somehow to prevent room air from escaping up the chimney and smoke from escaping into the room. My only disappointment is that the mortar they used to secure the new fireplace enclosure to the facade does not match the existing mortar at all well, so I am going to try to paint it to get a better blend. That said, they were eager to please, made sure they did not damage the work area like the hearth or soil the carpeting, and they cleaned up when they were finished. The reason I would not use them again is that I only have this one fireplace and do not expect to use it much, if at all, before I sell the house at some undetermined future date. .

I recieved a free estimate I week prior to scheduling appointment. Signed contract on a Friday and two workers came out on Saturday. They were an hour late but finished the Job in same day.

They did a really good job. They were very prompt and helpful. We were very pleased. We have used them in the past too. The price was very reasonable. Also they work hard, do a great job, and are very careful with their work. They have good workers. They are very knowledgeable with what they are doing.

AO Handy did a very good job tuck pointing. AO Handy is very punctual, explain the work in detail, allow you to be involved in the decision making, complete the job quickly, and cleaned up very well.

I set up an appointment for an estimate. He called at the appointed time and said he would be twenty minutes late due to traffic. I couldn't wait, so we re-scheduled for the next day. Again, he called a couple of minutes after the scheduled time and said he would be there in twenty minutes but was delayed by traffic. I left for a meeting two hours after the scheduled time, having heard nothing more from him. He called about a half hour later and said he was in front of my home. It was now two nad a half hours after the appointment and two hours later than he said when he called to delay. Since I was no longer there and couldn't meet him, I told him to forget it. I am not going to use someone who misses two appointments to give an estimate.

I was very satistied with all aspects of this work. I have had a lot of experience with masonary workers over the last 40 years. The work was done carefully, efficiently and promptly. The cost of the work was very reasonable. They consulted with me on every point as I had requested, explained the work and did an excellent job of cleaning up.Where they saw small additional areas that needed attention they went ahead and took care of them without additional cost to their original estimate. I would definitely hire them again and plan to do so.

Mr. Boyko and crew did a marvelous job. Quote was very competitive and they were willing to provide the advertised Angie's list senior discount. Company ended up doing significant tuckpointing work that was not identified when they bid on the work, but they performed the additional work without added charge. I also had a few minor "punch list items" after I inspected the work prior to the final payment. They gladly came out that weekend and took care of the identified items. They also custom matched the mortar to my older home's original mortar. Easy to work with and very diligent. Anyone contemplating this work should do their own survey ahead of time and make sure that both parties agree upon the major work to be done and in addition to include in the bid for no added charge any additional miscellaneous tuckpointing that is identified as needed during the project. There will normally be some unidentified spots or small areas.

Mr. Boyko came for an estimate the same day I called him, and started work the next day, finishing within 3 days. He explained everything to me very clearly and suggested an upper chimney rebuild, which I couldn't afford this year; but we agreed on a good seal for the chimney flashing and tuckpointing of the outer chimney, which should protect the inner chimney until I can have the complete rebuild done. He pointed out areas that needed tuckpointing that I hadn't seen, which I appreciated, since they could have caused problems later. He couldn't have known about the lack of support for the bricks on the garage wall until the old cement belt was broken down, but he did the right thing and reinforced the wall before adding a beautiful new cement belt. The brick facade of the house looks beautiful now and the new bricks blend extremely well with the old ones. He and his crew cleaned up completely after the job was done.

The work they did was impeccable, I was really impressed. Hardworking and very meticulous. I was told it would be a two day job and a majority of it was done in about six hours the first day and about one hour the second day on finishing touches. Would also like to mention the tuckpointing they matched perfectly.

After a couple days, they got back to me and immediately came out to the house to check on what needed to be done. The work was completed quickly and was well done. After I was contacted about how the work went, I explained that they didn't complete the entire job. They were back before the end of the day to complete the work and the owner came over that night to make sure everything was completed and that I was happy with the work. I was and will use this company again.

I would highly recommend A.O. Handy. I called for a quote and he arrived that day, and gave me a quote immediately before he left. I called about 2 months later, to hire him for the job (our delay, not his) and he told me that he would be there the next morning to start. Very hard workers,..stayed until 7:30pm on the first evening. The area was cleaned-up and looked better than before they arrived! Quality craftsmanship, great service and pleasant people.

Very well. They wheelbarrow carted old and new concrete out and in to protect grass. Job well done.

Very nice quality work. Came within a day to do the estimate and completed job a couple of days later. Even did a little more than I expected by replacing a few more bricks and tuckpointing around repair areas. Very happy with these folks. Recommended.

They were excellent. They met with my husband to review the work. They understood the time frame because some of the work required coordination with the neighbor. They adjusted their workers to accommodate the schedule so that we would minimize the loss of our driveway for the scaffolding. They had extra workers on Sunday so that they could finish the job. They left the premises immaculate at the end of each work day and at the end of the job. I would definitely hire them again.

The work was completed in the time frame and at the cost they stated. They did an excellent job, and my porch looks like new. The contractor exceeded my expectations by repairing cracks in my retaining wall near the replaced back steps, and by repainting my existing fence posts near the new stair railing to match. I am so impressed that I have requested estimates for additional brick and concrete work.

I've never had anything go smoother. I called Andy and he came over immediately and checked out the situation and gave an estimate. He came back the next day with a contract and begun work with a crew. From start to finish they did an excellent job. Friendly, professional, respectful, and helpful. They were absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend them!

We haven't moved forward with the project so we really haven't looked at the quotes we've gotten. I am not sure if I would use them again.

They replaced the cap on the chimney and rebuilt about the top 5 feet and tuckpointed it. It was a weeklong project. The one thing about the company is that the family is from Ukraine, so communication was sometimes a little hard, but the son was usually there to talk.
