Hugely informative, punctual, highly professional, and very reasonable pricing... just a great experience through and through.
Really helped set our mind at ease with potential pest issues in our new home.
We will be using AAA for all of our pest control needs in the future, for sure!
The first two well-rated companies I found on Angie's List refused to remove without pesticides--they said it can't be done and were abrupt, bordering on being rude. AAA Pest Management was the third company I called. Steve agreed to do it without pesticides. He arrived promptly, and I found him to be a very nice guy and very professional. He came up with a very creative way to remove the nest in the playhouse.
He delivered as promised, at the same price as the other two companies I had called, but he was much more polite and accommodating. I gave him a bit extra because I was so pleased with his work. Highly recommended!
We noticed carpenter ants in my daughter's room a week ago and I planned to arrange for treatment while she was out of town, Completely forget until late Wednesday afternoon. Called AAA Pet Mgmt. closed to 5:00 p.m. and left a message. Figured I wouldn't hear for a couple days and was mad at myself for not calling sooner. To my surprise and delight, Steve (the owner) called a little after 9:00 the next morning. I explained we had found carpenter ants in my daughter's bedroom and mentioned we were also troubled by stinging insects every year and asked if he could check that out as well. He said he could and actually had an opening that day. Promised to be out between 10:00 and 12:00 that same day.
Steve arrived around 10:30, took a look in the bedroom and said the small hole in the wall under the window trim was likely from a previous treatment. He explained he would treat both inside and outside for that. My husband then showed him the locations of the two biggest insect nests we had. Turns out one was from yellow jackets, the other from paper wasps. I asked if we could do anything to keep them away and he said that he could treat the under side of all the overhangs and it would repel most of these flying insects. He told me the total cost and I gave the go ahead for the work.
The work was completed in about an hour. Steve updated me on everything he had done and gave us some tips on how to avoid the return of our uninvited guests. Also asked if I had any other questions, and if I would like him to call me next spring for a potential treatment for the stinging insects. Since I have a daughter who is allergic to stings, I said that would be wonderful.
I told Steve I was surprised at the wide difference in the reviews he received on Angie's list because his "A" ratings were glowing. I looked further and a "C" and "F" were given by people who never used him, and with no comments they sounded like they never even spoke to him.
If you want a prompt, professional, dependable contractor for pest control, THIS IS IT!!I will definitely use Steve again and I will recommend him to any one who asks.
"While an over-all grade of a 'B' may be acceptable to most, it was somewhat disheartening to see the 'C' grade for Quality, and only a 'B' in Punctuality when the client said above that I was on time. Here's why: The husband scheduled an exterior treatment for carpenter ants for when his wife would be home. When I arrived, she said she saw ants in the kitchen and would like that room and the basement below it treated as well. She agreed to my standard rate with a 6 month warranty. Later that day, the husband called me upset that his wife agreed to my price . He based his argument on a different service he was happy with the previous year. This was comparing apples to oranges as he based it on time alone. Almost all pest mgmt. companies do not base their fee on time and materials alone because it's unknowable at the start - not sure if follow-up visits will be necessary or not. And if they are, how many and how long each may take. Quotes are a flat fee. After explaining this I could tell he didn't want to care. So in an attempt to pacify him, he accepted a $25 adjustment. Another thing not mentioned above is that upon my follow-up visit today he was home and said there was no more ants sited in side, and that he "hosed-down" my exterior treatment afterwards for some unknown reason. Why he would intentionally attempt to remove the ongoing residual effect of the insecticide I don't know. However, even after the use of his hose surely nullified much of my treatment, after inspecting his property today thoroughly, I could not find one single ant anywhere. He received a $25 discount, his ants have been eliminated and he has 5 months left on his warranty. I'd say that kind of quality rates an 'A'."
"After I eliminated a large carpenter ant nest and mouse infestation, the client said she wished to be as aggressive as possible regarding pests with a monthly maintenance service. After awhile occasionally there would be no one home for scheduled visits. We would then discuss the importance of calling before the appointments so we could reschedule so I would not have to waste time and money arriving if no one was going to be home. When it happened again, I left a note in her front door stating that I could no longer afford to eat the costs of her no-shows, and that I would need to discontinue the service. Many months went by without hearing from her. Eventually she left numerous voicemails desiring service. When I called back and got her vm I again stated that I would need to discontinue the service because I could not afford to continue to chance coming out when the customer may or may not keep the appointment."
"Thank you for the continuing kind words sir. Just a brief clarification: The charge shown above was for a previous service, there is never a charge for a telephone consultation!"
The technician was prompt, courteous, and very understanding of my lack of pest control knowledge that he allowed me to ask a bunch of questions that led me to hire him to return to perform the treatment recommended which took place on 5/5/2014.
On the second day service on 5/5/2014, he treated the basement, and the house exterior. Once again, adding much more information and also recommendations as to what and how to go about doing ourselves preventative maintenance measures to keep our property up to speed.
I will definitely recommend this company to others.
