 + 0 moreGut reaction is that I should have shopped around and didn't get the 80% value of the pieces of gold jewelry I sold. I called them back and got a song and dance about how they pay penny weight (mine was 6.9). I researched gold value (10kt was $557) and did the calculations to adjust ounces to penny weight. It should have come in higher than $110. Keep your mind focused when selling old gold; the errands will wait until you're done with business.

 + 0 moreI thought they were more than fair. Right then and there they wrote out the check once they weighed the amount of gold there. My tip is to go to your local coin and jewelry store. Don't put it in the envelope you get from your dentist because you'll only get about 10% of what it is worth.
