STOPPLEWORTH PLUMBING LTD

The person doing the scheduling called me back a couple minutes after I first made the appointment to tell me they needed to talk to my landlord first. Only problem is I don't have a landlord - I own my house. Apparently they looked up my address on Access Dane and got confused by the result. I almost cancelled the appointment right then, because the accusatory tone weirded me out and I had a few other local plumbers still pulled up on my computer, but luckily didn't. -1 professionalism The plumber arrived about 10 minutes after the scheduled window. Not a big deal for me since I work from home, but I did have to keep walking over to the window because my doorbell has been on the fritz. In the future a simple head's up phone call would be much appreciated. -1 punctuality Those two issues are extremely minor. What's important is that once arriving, the plumber did great work. Didn't take them long to figure out the problem and they had it completely fixed in an hour or so and did a great job explaining the issue to me. I also felt the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be using Stoppleworth's the next time I have any kind of plumbing issue!

Travis was terrific. Courteous and professional. Got the work done without any wasted time. Billing was accurate.

We had a clog that we couldn't clear ourselves and we knew it was past the traps. We called Stoppleworth and they were able to send someone the next day. They did have a mix up in getting us onto the schedule but came out quickly after we called to remind them. The plumber diagnosed the problem but didn't have the right auger since they had not been expecting the job. He came out just a couple hours later and was able to clear and clean out between the trap and the stack. It drains perfectly now and should be less likely to have issues like this since build-up was removed.

Not much to say except that I've used this company before and always have a great, professional experience. Will call them anytime I have a plumbing issue and know I will be quality, responsive service. Thanks!

Travis was very polite and professional, and quick at getting the job done. He even gave me some tips on how to prevent something like this from possibly occurring again.

The install of the waterline went very smooth and fast. Travis ran a pex line from the copper to a new shut off valve for the ice maker, then made the final connection with a nice long steel braid hose. I appreciated that they used quality parts to complete this part of the job. The outdoor faucets were original to the house, were in awkward spots and were soldered to the copper. Travis was not only able to replace them without issue, but also installed threaded couplings on so they can be replaced in the future with much less labor! Overall, very quick job and installed quality parts.

Due to a previous clog, I knew that the floor drain had disintegrated due to age and needed to be replaced. I called Stoppleworth and they were able to schedule within 2 weeks on a day I already had taken off of work. They were scheduled to arrive at 8:00 but didn't show up until 8:50 a.m. I had to call to find out they were stuck in traffic. Once they started jackhammering the concrete basement floor, they discovered the pipe was also disintegrating. They had to keep jackhammering to find a decent section of pipe to attach the new PVC pipe to. This involved moving my hot water heater. They weren't finished by the end of the workday so made arrangements to come back the next day to pour the new concrete even though I was leaving on vacation. They also made sure the hot water heater was hooked up again so I'd have hot water that evening. They did a pretty good job of cleaning up the dirt they had dug out of the basement.

Called provider at around 10:00am. Requested service ASAP. Was given a 3:00pm appt time same day. Serviceman arrived at 3:50pm. He was professional and polite. He fixed the problem in 45 minutes and also diagnosed and fixed two other unrelated plumbing issues that he noticed while working on the primary complaint. Worksite was left clean and tidy. The bill was $125 before deducting a $25 Angie's List coupon. Final bill was $100. This is the second time that I have hired this provider. The ONLY complaint that I have with this provider is that today, they were almost an hour late with no call indicating that they would be late. When compared to other plumbers that I have dealt with in the past, the timeliness issue is pretty darn small. Bottom line is that I would definitely recommend this organization to others and also will call upon them again if I need help in my own home or any of my rental units.

Things went very smoothly. They were easy to schedule and they came when they said they would come. The work was thorough and prompt. The worker did the job very efficiently. We have used them for other projects as well.

After calling several area plumbers, it was clear I was a priority for Stoppleworth. They scheduled me right away and arrived within the one hour window specified. I had a job that seemed like it would entail cutting an access panel through the drywall. Instead, the plumber did a thorough investigation and surmised that the sound I had heard resembling a steady drip in a drainage pipe was actually the hot water expanding the PVC pipe that was in contact with the wall frame. He then tested it to be sure. He saved me hundreds and an ugly wall scar by not cutting the access panel first. Since that was such a quick solution, I asked him to tackle another small job. He worked quickly to solve my issue despite a couple of unexpected setbacks. The charge was more than reasonable. Stoppleworth is going on my speed dial for plumbing repair work.

After an initial scheduling error on their part and then a cancellation on our part, they arrived (on-time) for the "third" appointment and everything went great! In a half hour, not only did they diagnose and repair the problem with our shower, but they also noticed our toilet was running and repaired that problem for us as well.

When you are a first time person trying to pick out stuff, you just don't know what to pick out and they didn't help me with any advice in regards to what I needed. When you talk to somebody on a daily or weekly basis, especially when you talk to a woman they should give you that advice. I think that was bad. I would only use them again to fix their mistakes otherwise I will use somebody else.

Everything went well from first contact to conclusion. This included an unexpected need to accomodate our schedule when a water main to our house broke the night before the service call was scheduled. The technician, Travis, did everything he could to manage his calls on the day we were scheduled so that he could do the work without delay but after our other problem was fixed! When Travis arrived he diagnosed and explained the problem to me, and did a thorough, efficient installation of a new water heater. The old one was removed without delay. He took caution to protect carpeting, etc. and let no evidence of his work other than a fully functioning new water heater! Everything was done very well and I so appreciated the quick response to what could have been a major inconvenience in the midst of a holiday week. THANK YOU for the great job.

Greg stopped by, discussed the 5 items I had questions about. We agreed to tackle only 3 of the 5 because Greg had great suggestions for the other 2 that did not require his efforts. Not only that, but another idea he had saved us additional money on one of the other repairs. How wonderful it was to deal with someone like that! After setting up an appointment, Greg actually showed up to do the work himself. He was extremely efficient and cleaned up after himself nicely.

We were informed by our house inspector (and the Sears guy) that we needed new master water on/off switches in the utility room because the ones we had were corroded. We were also having problems with the drain in the full bathroom. We called Stoppleworth and scheduled them to come out to look at these issues. We also bought a new Delta faucet directly from Stoppleworth. They came at the appointed time and did both jobs efficiently and successfully. The work looks great, and so does the new faucet. The repair tech was friendly, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I would definitely use them again.

Great plumbing detective. Travis was able to troubleshoot and resolve an issue that others had not. (They wanted to tear off the drywall between the two bathrooms!). So glad to have both issues resolved now, thanks to Travis's efforts. Yes, we'd definitely hire more work to be done when a situation would arise. Thanks, Travis.

Stoppleworth Plumbing is a good partner to have. I called Stoppleworth Plumbing and they installed a new frost-free exterior faucet, kitchen faucet, bathroom sink bowl (sealant & grout applied appropriately), bathroom sink faucet, and wax toilet ring. Travis adjusted the hot water tank and also gave me sound advice about the needs of a new dishwasher and clothes washer. I was looking for professionalism, price, and quality and certainly got that. All went according to plan and I'll be calling them again when I'm ready in 2015 for "Part 2".

I was very pleased with Stoppleworth's service. Their scheduler, Colleen, was helpful and pleasant. They were able to fit us in three days ahead of our original appointment when someone canceled, and the plumber (Greg) was very punctual for the new appointment. He worked quickly, fixed the toilet, and secured the tank. The price was very reasonable for a plumbing service (and the coupon from Angie's List was a nice discount, too). I would recommend Stoppleworth and will use this provider again.

The receptionist on the phone was fantastic! She asked questions about my need, put me on hold less than a minute and when she came back, asked me if the next morning between 8-9am would work. I couldn't believe that I was getting service before the weekend! The repairman arrived close to 8:30 and was gone about 30 minutes later. He even helped me to understand how to determine if there was really something wrong with the dryer or if the gas smell came from the broken handle. What great service! I can't comment on the price yet because I haven't gotten a bill. Based on the rates they publish and using the Angie's List coupon, the bill should be about $90.

I called them a week ago for an appointment to fix my garbage disposal which was schedule for today at 10am. A little after 10am I called to ask what was the status of the plumber coming out. They seemed to not even have a clue as to the fact I even had an appointment or even logged that I called them. They eventually came back to me and said that the plumber would be out much later from 11am to 12pm. I waited until 10 min. after 12pm and told them to cancel my appointment because I had to get back to work. They said they were sorry. I will not likely go back to this company.

Greg was on time, and worked quickly and effectively. We were very pleased with his work.
