Greg from Stoppleworth came out on Monday morning at the time specified and worked diligently to complete the laundry list (no pun intended) of plumbing work in the quote. He was very friendly, very patient, and understood exactly what needed to be done. He even designed some of the waste piping in a manner that it would be easy to tap into for adding a future master bath. This kind of thoughtful attention to detail was truly appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend Stoppleworth to a friend for their plumbing needs. Honestly, I never knew my fiance and I could get so excited over seeing new PVC pipes in a basement.

I called Stoppleworth Plumbing because of the positive reviews on this site. When Travis arrived, I showed him the items I wanted to take care of. With our outdoor faucets, he gave us the option of repairing or replacing them. In the end, we decided to just replace them with newer frost-free faucets. He also stopped a slow leak in our downstairs bathroom faucet and in our basement sink. He seemed very knowledgable about the older faucets in our house and was upfront about costs of repairing or replacing items. He worked very quickly and all of the faucets work really well now. I have used other plumbers in the past and I feel that Stoppleworth did an excellent job for an excellent price. I would highly recommend them and would be happy to use them again!

We sent them an e-mail on Monday and they got back to us early Tues. Morning. I made an appointment for 12:30. They knew a little about the problem from the e-mail and I explained in further detail. When I made the apt. it sounded like they were available for anytime I was. 12:30 came and gone and I called an hour later. The lady apologized and said the plummer I scheduled with this morning was on a technical phone call about their new system and she didn't see my apt. She also said they are changing to a new type of system on the computer and there must have been a glitch. She took my information and had another plummer take my call. At 2:35 he arrived and the job was complete in 30 min. He explained in great detail what he did and showed me exactly what he meant. He also gave me other pointers, do not use the disks for the 3,000 flushes that are advertised. They eat away at the rubber stoppers and the other parts inside the toilet. After I paid for the bill he explained the bill thoroughly and gave me a business card. Overall I am very happy and would call on them for more services.

Great responsiveness! Came out immediately and fixed my leaking outside faucet in no time. I emailed them a picture after I called, so they were able to come with the right parts and get the job done in one trip. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to others!

Stoppleworth Plumbing was recommended to us by our daughter. She had bad luck with a different firm but she was very pleased with Stoppleworth so we decided to give them a try. They sent us a very professional and personable plumber. He was efficient, thorough and neat. In addition we thought that the price was very fair. We will definitely call Stoppleworth for all of our plumbing needs from now on.

The plumber arrived promptly at 3 and knew right away the issue with the faucet, which he fixed within a 1/2 hour. He provded a lot of information about the issue, additional information about the faucet type, and offered to provide plumbing advice in the future. Prompt, friendly, fast - what's not to like. Would use them again without hesitation!

I have recommended Stoppleworth Plumbing LTD. to all my family and friends. Stoppleworth went above and beyond to help us remodel our bathrooms. We were under a time crunch. They were efficient with their time and they communicated with us on the daily progress. Stoppleworth pulled out an old tub and toliet (30 yrs. old) replaced it with a new one including a tub surround. Pulled out an old pedestal sink and toliet - replaced both with a new one including all the hardware for both bathrooms. We also needed a contractor to pull out the tile that surrounded the old tub and dry-wall work. Stoppleworth recommended a contractor for us. Stoppleworth replaced the disposal for about the same price as I would have had to pay just to buy the unit. I liked them.

It took about 2 hours and they came in under the quoted budget, even though some of the hardware I had bought was junk and needed to be replaced. He removed an old drum trap, installed the new sink trap, replaced 2 old spigot handles with new sink supply lines, and re-routed the drain from my water softener into the new sink. The work looks great, and the plumber was friendly and helpful. My only concern was that they showed up 45 minutes late.

John arrived promptly as scheduled and fixed a bathroom sink so it would drain. He adjusted the drain so the plug could be removed...he recommends this for customers who have long hair (remove the plug and clean the hair out - do not use Drano). He then went to the kitchen sink and TOTALLY redid the faucet installation so that the hoses underneath are out of the way and the leak is stopped. This area was recently worked on by a "handyman" who must not be so handy! He worked quickly in a very small space, and was very professional (no "bad-mouthing" of previous plumbers). I would definitely call this company again. I am most pleased with the results.

thisThe water pressure in our house had been decreasing over time. A friend with plumbing experience looked in our crawl space and found that the connection between the house and the line from the water main was very corroded. When the water pressure started to decrease rapidly, we realized the situation was urgent. We called Stoppleworth (chosen via Angie's List) and they were able to do an estimate the next day. The young man who came to do the estimate was punctual, polite & professional. He listened to my husband's explanation of the problem, but he also double-checked the symptoms for himself - in a very nice way. He took one look at the pipe in the crawl space and agreed that it was a serious situation. Keep in mind that this is the Monday before Labor Day weekend. We asked if they could fix it before the weekend, as we were about to have houseguests and host a large cookout. The young man's eyebrows went up, but he said he would talk to his boss and that the main concern was obtaining parts. Part of the issue was that our water meter was so old that it was not up to code, so they would have to replace it & he didn't know if they had one available. that was also the reason why he could not give us a firm estimate - he wasn't sure how much the meter cost. Fortunately they were able to come out on Wednesday, with all the parts necessary. They also re-did some of the piping past the water meter at no extra charge to rectify some "unconventional" routing done previously. Overall we were very satisfied with the whole experience.

My kitchen is in bad need of rehab so when my faucet stopped working I was looking for a temporary solution to keep the water flowing until I could remodel later this year. I called Stoppleworth because of the good ratings they have on Angie's List. I explained my situation to the person who answered the phone, that I was remodeling my bathroom and needed to keep some kind of running water in the kitchen until that was done. I asked if there was some inexpensive temporary solution they could provide. The gentleman asked me some questions about the type of faucet and finish it had, and when I didn't have the answers immediately he seemed impatient and short with me but recovered somewhat with follow up questions. I got the impression he was willing to work with me but annoyed. With hindsight I probably should have had second thoughts when he said "so you're kind of like a sitting duck there, huh?" I said "I guess so..." but the good reviews they got on the list kept me optimistic. He explained he might have a faucet for me and I overheard him asking a coworker to check if a certain Kohler faucet was still laying around. He explained the faucet he had did not have the side sprayer (apparently it had been misplaced at some point during the part laying around the shop), and I said that since I don't really use the side sprayer and was not particular since I planned to replace the item this year when I redo the kitchen it really didn't matter to me, I was just looking for an economical temporary solution. He said I should "sit tight" and he could have somebody come over shortly. So I sat tight and Travis showed up and was friendly and professional at the outset. He installed the faucet, which took a little extra time since the problem which kept the water from flowing seemed to be accumulated sediment in the water supply, which took a little doing to clear. However, he made no indication of the source of the problem (bad faucet/valve vs sediment) as when I asked him if he discovered the source problem he shrugged and said "I don't know, could have been either". In the past when a service technician has come and discovered a problem which can be solved with less time and materials, they have been forthcoming about this and I have come to expect that kind of integrity. Fortunately in this case I was glad to have a new faucet regardless as the handle had broken on the old one and it was difficult to operate. Still, if the problem had only been sediment in the line that could have been cleared and saved me the cost of a new faucet, it would have been a much more appropriate solution for my circumstances. When I was presented with the bill the breakdown was $25.00 service call; $100.00 one hour labor; $130.85 for faucet (!) I was shocked at the price of the faucet and looked online at home depot where this very faucet is sold for ~$124 with side sprayer. I found it really unprofessional for them to give me the impression that they could provide an economical solution and then unload a scrap faucet they had laying around for full price + when you can easily get a $40 solution at home depot. Had they been honest and forthcoming I would have purchased a $40 faucet myself from home depot and had them install it. What I wanted was a cheap faucet and I was willing to pay for the expertise to install it to save some time given the circumstances, and the folks at Stoppleworth knew this. I blame myself for not inquiring specifically what the charge would be for the incomplete part and for assuming there would be a deep discount for something they likely could not otherwise sell. But I blame them for a lack of integrity. Of a lesser concern is the piece of pottery on my windowsill over the sink that was broken during the work being done on the faucet. It's a $20 item and I told myself "well, accidents happen". Had I known I was being overcharged I would have insisted on compensation.

They couldnt help me fix my dishwasher, so they were able to recommend me to someone who got the job done right! They were very friendly and I will surely use them the next time I need plumbing work done.

Arrived on time and seemed to work quickly. Very professional. Price was about one third of the price of another plumber that had given me a quote.

I called STOPPLEWORTH on a Monday morning to get a phone quote. It seemed reasonable and I inquired about their scheduling and was told someone could be at my house in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later a van pulled up. Our plumber, Luke, asked me if I'd rather have the faucets repaired than replaced. I told him to just replace them and showed him where they were. He was in and out a lot and got a little dirt on the carpet, but it was a wet day. In the end, it came in under the initial estimate and everything works great. I'll call them again without hesitation.

Great. To the degree plumbing is beautiful---it is really beautiful---clean.

Overall our experiences with Stoppleworth have gone very well. Most recently, we called them to replace a failing sump pump in mid-afternoon with rain in the forecast for later that night, and they were able to get over within 2 hours and replace the pump before the rain came. Thank goodness, or we would have spent thousands of dollars to replace carpeting and other items in our finished basement. Their prices and responsiveness are outstanding.

Overall they were great. They did forget to put a towel below the toilet, which lead to a lot of toilet water spilling into the rest of the bathroom. But I would definitely use them again in the future.
