PARISI CONTRACTING

There were a lot of out-of-town companies dropping off flyers daily, and also coming to the door. I wanted to use someone local, so I looked in the phone book, and found Parisi. Sam was out to see me right away. He and his "business manager", Brad, worked up a quote and seemed very friendly and competent. I was also working with an insurance adjuster, and everything seemed fine. We had agreed that Parisi would do a couple of other things as long as they were doing the roof. We signed the contract, and our job finally started several months after we signed. That was the first issue. They didn't seem to be in a hurry to do the work, and they weren't on time and not very good at calling back. Brad, even yelled at me once saying they weren't "God," and couldn't control the weather. My issue was that they hadn't called or even kept in touch re their schedule, not the weather. When they finally did show up, they created such a mess, that I had to walk through the yard and clean up nails, etc. They said they would be using tarps, but didn't except for maybe one or two areas, and they didn't cover them totally. Sam said he would be "right up there with them" (the crew), but I only saw him once or twice for a very short while. They didn't finish everything. We had a leak by the skylights, and had to call them to come back, which they did, but other issues are still unresolved. One other thing is that they somehow got more money than they were contracted for when they went to the bank. Don't know how that happened, but I am still trying to figure that out, and still trying to recover the funds. Once they got the job, their customer service skills disappeared. I would NEVER, NEVER recommend them to anyone. In fact, this experience is why I joined Angie's List.
