Nonn's offers free, professional design services, a department dedicated to residential and commercial job scheduling and a team of certified installers to make sure every job is done right. Initially, I was very pleased with salesperson and quotes that I got from Nonn's. My contractor had worked them before, so I trusted his opinion. I know after this job, his opinion has changed. I know he cancelled a job with them to tile after he saw their work at my house. Long story short--errors in ordering, errors in tiling, errors in fixing said issues (don't send the same incompetent people out to fix what they couldn't do properly the first time). The "fixer" just left, looks better but not even close to as good as it should. So if you want to be a month behind on your project and have a shower that is new but looks 10 years old, go with Nonns otherwise, look elsewhere and spend more.

Description of Work: Refrigerator's water line leaked some water onto my manufactured hardwood floor. I called Nonn's to replace the 3 damaged boards. It should be stated that Nonn's did the original flooring in the condo's in my building..
It was a complete mess. I would NEVER recommend them or hire them again. I had to call the Sub Zero/Wolf regional representative just to get them to return my emails and phone calls after a month of trying. It's been weeks and I still haven't heard from Nonn's.
Description of Work: We purchased several Sub Zero and Wolf appliances from this place and requested design services. The designer was completely clueless. She had no ideas, no personality and did not listen to what we wanted. The granite woman was a joke and full of herself. Where do they find these people-- Acme Community College? She would not stop talking long enough to listen. Several of the people involved in this project (that STILL hasn't happened...) tried to comment on it in detail and had never even seen our house. The appliance sales rep did not communicate. Worst of all, the CEO was completely unresponsive to our correspondence. He has NO business acumen and will probably run this place into the ground. Nonn's is impossible to work with. I suggest ANYONE else. Read their reviews on Yelp and call The Granite Shop of Madison.

The sale rep was very professional in helping us choose the carpet but it then went downhill after that. Took almost 4 weeks and a few emails to set up the installation date. Installers were sub-contracted which basically means they work as quickly as possible to get to their next job. They were very nice but installation was so-so. The seam running through the middle of the room could have been done better and where the carpet met some vinyl flooring was poorly done. So I fixed that and everything looks OK but I paid to have some old carpeting on the steps removed and hauled away. The carpet was removed but only hauled away to my garage. The left over carpet was also just strewn in the unfinished part of the basement. I emailed the sales rep pictures of this and have yet to get a reply 3 days later.

Initially things were great. The people that helped us choose the countertops, appliances, and cabinets were amazing. Friendly, professional, very nice. They did a great job taking my vision and turning it into something amazing. I give the design team an A. When they did the tile floors, which look amazing, I was incredibly pleased and excited about what the entire kitchen would look like when finished. If purchasing/design/tile were all I was rating, I would give them an A even though they are pricey. But I cannot get past the rest of the installation process which is why I am giving them a lower grade. Expensive for what I got which was a lot of frustration. Between the cabinet installation, the appliance installation, and the countertop installation, I just about lost my mind. There was a lack of miscommunication between all of the teams. The cabinet installer would show up and work in small chunks of time. He did an acceptable job but we had to replace several drawer fronts because he didn't install the handles correctly. That created a delay because they had to order new fronts. I will say that when he found a cracked cabinet door he did call to get it replaced, but they ordered the wrong size, had to reorder.... More time wasted. The measurements for the cooktop were wrong. When my appliances showed up (delivered by Nonns and that team was very nice and professional) I opened the box for the cooktop so the guy measuring the countertops could get the specs. He needed them to do a cut. When the countertop was delivered the installer realized the cuts were wrong. The installer was very upset and my husband was very frustrated as well. There was a lack of communication at some point and a mistake was made. I get that there was a misunderstanding between Nonn's teams but when that frustrates the people who have paid them over 20k, it is totally unacceptable. Somebody else had to come in and cut the countertop (quartz) after it was installed. I worked with the guy to cover as much stuff possible with plastic sheeting so it didn't get everywhere. Afterwards we cleaned up as much as possible but I still find piles of quartz dust in the cabinet that sits under it. When the gas cooktop was installed, they didn't seal the line to the cooktop properly. Several days later (on a Saturday) we were calling the city because of a gas leak. When I called Nonns, the person we worked with for appliances was probably as mad as me. It didn't reflect on her, but the person who installed it. They came out on Monday to fix that but the fact that it happened was terrifying. It's been about 6 months since the work was done and we haven't had any problems with anything, which is great. The massive headache from this project made us purchase/install the backsplash from another company. If you choose to purchase anything from Nonns, do not use their installation services.

The sales rep. was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The person who came to the house to take measurements was also very professional. Scheduling the work took longer than I expected and it was necessary to call them several times. Installation was not done by Nonn's. They sub contracted with a different crew to do the work and that is where most of the problems occurred. The workers seemed knowledgeable but they were careless and sloppy. They didn't bother to pick up any of the packing materials, dropped nails or left overs from cut boards until they were finished. After they left I found two large blobs of glue on the new flooring that was difficult to remove. I also found several nails on the new flooring. They would have easily scared the flooring is someone had someone stepped on them. There are several gouges in the office doors from their careless work and some of the nail holes were unfilled and very noticeable. I would use Nonn's again but only if they promised to use their own people to do the installation.

We had some difficulty with some damage created during installation that was not fixed to our satisfaction. Nonn's representative did offer to come back a second time, however we chose to have the damage repaired at our cost by the builder doing our reno work, as we could fully trust him and were in a hurry to get the house sold. Scheduling with Nonn's for installation had been a bit rough at first, and we didn't want further delays. Overall, disappointed with scheduling for first install of vinyl (we had to be available 6 working days between delivery and unpredictable install arrival), just for the vinyl), poor communication within their team (items needed by carpet installers not left there for later, carpet installers didn't even seem to know details of work order so didn't install threshold trim we had already paid for), Nonn's rep did call back for second attempt at repair of concerns, we were done and just wanted job finished so we could list the house. Overall, probably wouldn't go back.

It went great! The entire project was 90% complete in 6 weeks and done in 7. We were kept informed throughout and they were great at accommodating choices. I gave them a B on price mainly because they would not give a discount for cash but would accept credit cards, which seems a little counterproductive ! Given this wonderful experience I contacted them again last fall about ripping out the living room carpet and replacing it with matching hardwood. The current flooring manager responded immediately. The holidays and a trip got in the way of my moving forward until January. When I again contacted her with additional questions she just never responded to a couple of emails. I gave up and had another company do this.
Description of Work: Remodeled kitchen down to studs, installed hardwood floor throughout hall, family room, laundry room, kitchen to office, installed lighting, new front door system. Nonn's designer helped with choices and coordination, and recommended contractor, who was great. Contractor oversaw all the details of construction.

Nonn's has a beautiful showroom in Middleton and their designers are very helpful and friendly. I felt like there were plenty of choices of tile and materials. The prices were a little high, but not unexpectedly so. The countertop stone that I originally wanted was not available by the time we were ready to install it and I had to pick a different one, but this has happened at other places and was not Nonn's fault. I would definitely use this provider again if I were remodeling or building and am very happy with the results.

I will never use this company again and would never recommend anyone use them. First of all, I received 4 estimates before I chose to go with them. They weren't the least expensive, but not the most expensive either. We chose them because they seemed to have the best selection. However, I should have known not to use them from the start because the sales person was extremely rude the first time I met her. She also was very slow to respond to emails and phone calls. It took several months for the job to be completed and the job is still not finished, at least not correctly. I've given them a few points for the fact that the granite counters went it smoothly, but the tile backsplash was a night mare and the tiles still are not lined up correctly. Do yourself a favor and use a different company!

Sales associate only fairly helpful. She was away on vacation when we wanted to order and was very late returning our calls, despite messages left on voice mail and main desk. We had to go to their showroom twice because we had to meet with the tile saleswoman and the cabinetry saleswoman separately. Both saleswomen seemed like they utterly hated their jobs and were not happy to be working with us. The tile installer was really rude to my husband when he arrived one morning and also seemed to hate his job. Products picked out in June were not delivered by the time the work actually started in October and that delayed the project. The countertop for the second bathroom was to be delivered and installed in the final days of the project in mid-January, but Nonn's said they had a problem with their delivery truck and were going to deliver a few days late. Luckily the contractor convinced them that their delay would make our project go on a whole week later, after it had already taken 3 months for the two small bathrooms. There were tiles of the same pattern next to each other in more than one spot and the accent tiles are not evenly spaced or flush against the wall. You can see they are crooked and not flat against the walls without looking closely. I was concerned about having to use Nonn's as a subcontractor in the first place because I had only heard bad things about their service and quality. Sadly, those non-recommendations were proven correct. Perhaps they just don't like working with the contractor we used, but I recommend that if you have a contractor that wants to use Nonn's, insist they use someone else or find another contractor.

We received good advice from the designer at the show room and took home a variety of samples. They do require a deposit to check out samples. That is an annoyance. The quote we received was lower than others for the same pattern. The estimator arrived on time and was businesslike, but not very personable. The installers arrived on time and did a very nice job. The new carpet on the stairs looks much nicer and was installed in a much more professional manner than the old carpet.

We are putting a four seasons porch in the back using Clearview and they have not put it up yet, therefore we also have not gone to flooring yet to get the hard surface for the inside. Nonn's Design Showplace weren't the cheapest but we liked the company the best. We have gone to the showroom and we have ticked out the material that we want, it's just that we can't have it put in until the structure is built. We told them what we were looking for and they directed us, in the showroom, to the aisle that had what we were looking for. The best thing was they left us alone and let us decide what we wanted, but when we had questions they were right there to help us.

My interior designer/contractor recommended them to me and they were actually pretty good. They came when they said they would and did their job and worked very quickly and efficiently. I will definitely recommend them and use them again although I think they're a little bit pricey and high-end.
