Description of Work: Fall clean-up. Went above and beyond in cleaning up the leaves, numerous (100's) walnuts that had fallen from the large walnut tree and then mowing and trimming of the yard, including trimming around the fence so all the leaves were accounted for. Very professional and worked with attention to detail.

Description of Work: Due to my very busy schedule, I asked for an estimate to mow my large lawn and also to plant shrubs. He was prompt and provided a verbal estimate (or I don't recall getting one in writing anyways, maybe I did). However I ended up not using them just because I decided to do the mowing myself due to the cost and also because I already have a riding lawnmower.

Description of Work: Mark and his crew were able to do our driveway with a day's notice and no contract, and they helped out a few of our neighbors as well. Best money I ever spent! I love to shovel, but having help with 20" of snow was priceless.

+ -1 moreContractor's completion time estimates were not accurate. Contractor promised days and times for work to be done, but often times did not show up... or showed up late. Contractor claimed work was done, but it wasn't. I won't get into every case, but here is one. On the final day of work, the contractor claimed the work would be done at 12:00pm. I came home to check if work was completed at 12:00pm and it was not even close. The contractor stayed until 8:30pm and needed my wife and my help to complete it. My wife and I continued working until 10:30pm with the help of neighbors to put new soil and bricks in. At the end, the contractor wanted $2500. We negotiated down to $2125. The work took 15 days to complete and the deck that the wall was next to was unusable for that time. The concrete wall was done very well. The brick part of the wall is not level. We were happy with how well they cleaned up after themselves. They did kill a couple of plants in our garden though.
Description of Work: Reconstruct a retaining wall that had collapsed due to soil erosion because of repeated flooding of the landscaped area for $1400. Initial services were to rebuild the wall so it wouldn't collapse again. Contractor gave us the option of building a concrete wall instead of using bricks and we agreed to that option for $600 more. The wall was then topped with bricks to hide the concrete and an aesthetically pleasing portion of the brick wall was reconstructed for free. Contractor believed work could be done in a few days with a couple of gaps inbetween to allow the concrete footing to be set and for the concrete to dry.
