My husband and I are not handy--we had gathered a list of jobs that we didn't know how to do. We snagged a great deal. The person who came was helpful, respectful and competent. He worked quickly through my list and completed everything. I will call again.

When I called the phone number, someone answered the first time. The woman that answered was very pleasant and knowledgeable. They got out to the house very quickly.

Everything was perfect. I thought the person was great to work with and I would personally use them again. He gave me some hints and some other stuff to do and I would recommend them.

They were outstanding and we were really pleased with the quality of work. The service was great and the work was done conscientiously. They were on time and that was really helpful. The door replacement was kind of a big process that I didn’t know in the beginning, but they did a great job on that. They were fast in cleaning the gutters; it was perfect and really effective.

The person who did the repair was very prompt and helpful. He was very pleasant and made good suggestions. He let me know what everything is going to cost in advance.

Apparently, they don't want to do small jobs. They didn't measure the small bathroom floor or countertop, didn't offer an estimate, didn't follow through (haven't heard from them since). All they did was provide a list of places I could find materials.

I like the fact that Fix'm Home Repairs LLC will literally do anything. They may not be very innovative but they are very friendly, very nice, very respectful, and very professional.

We are a small business without an in-house maintenance staff, and our building is just getting old enough to need regular maintenance. This is only the second or third time we've called someone to do general maintenance work and we will definitely call Fix'M again. The handyman (can't remember his name so I'll call him Bob) arrived within the window of time we'd been given. He fixed the toilet and the light in just a few minutes each. He wasn't able to do anything with the locks, so we ended up calling a locksmith (who was stumped, by they way, so I don't hold anything against Bob!) The desk drawer turned out to be a bigger project. First Bob tried fixing the glides, but they were bent & twisted beyond repair. Then he went to the store and bought some new glides, but he couldn't make them fit the drawer. So then he offered to have a new drawer made to fit the desk. It took around a week to get the estimate ($150 ish) and another two weeks or so to get the drawer back. I'm not clear if the drawer was made by someone at Fix'M or if it was outsourced, but it definitely wasn't done by Bob. The new drawer is well made with quality glides and fits the desk perfectly. They used the same drawer front and built the rest of the drawer from new materials. The only thing I didn't like about the service was that Bob didn't offer any choices in the design of the new drawer. The new inside is made of a laminated plywood (the same stuff in any cheap bookshelf) where the old ones are thinner but real wood laminated. It makes zero difference to me that they don't match, but nobody asked. He also changed the direction of the hanging file rails - they had been side-to-side so that folders faced the side of the drawer and they are now front to back like a typical filing cabinet. There is a bit more room for files now, but I would have preferred to keep the rails sideways. Overall, though, the new drawer is great and it was done with a minimum of fuss at a reasonable price. And I particularly loved the fact that Fix'M was able to handle the new drawer themselves, so I didn't have to contact anyone else. Good + Easy trumps Perfect + A Pain any day.

Fantastic work. Very efficient and time conscious, with thorough work with attention to detail. Couldn't be happier. After struggling to find a handyman through suggestions from friends and a string of guys who wouldn't return a call or commit to scheduling a date, it was a GREAT experience to work with Fix'm - so professional with fast scheduling, on-time, quality work and professional workmen. And super nice folks. And, I thought my doorbell needed to be replaced and bought the pricey replacement unit, but the repair person sorted out that the unit was fine, it was the doorbell itself that wasn't working. The parts savings alone paid for my trip charge!

Emailed company through the web site. Received a call from the office in the morning to discuss the details of the work needed and to set up a time. They book in advance, so we had to wait about a week. This was perfectly fine for our needs. Mike met me at the apartment building and knew what needed to be done. He was professional and was pleasant to chat with during the time we interacted. He removed the damaged lock set and took it to a local place for replacement. The locksmith he intended to use was not answering, so he settled for the local True Value. To make a long story short, they gave Mike the incorrect lock set. We realized that shortly after installation started, so he returned to get the proper package. Unfortunately, they reassembled the proper lock set incorrectly after rekeying it. This resulted in the lock not working properly. In fact, you could open it without a key if you turned the handle up. I called Mike when we discovered the issue. He took it upon himself to call the lock manufacturer about the behavior and the reassembly mistake was mentioned as the likely culprit. Mike called me with that information right away the next day and then returned to take care of it. Unfortunately, the rekeying didn't go as planned -- only one of the apartment keys would work in the new lock. I talked with the office and we discussed a variety of options. In the end, it was decided that I could get the front door rekeyed on my own. The company did not feel it proper to charge us for all the time spent considering the results were not as planned. We agreed to a particular fee and I was very satisfied with the company. Locks are complicated and we found out just how much "fun" they can be. I have lots of work to do and I won't hestitate to call Fix'm when we are ready to act.

We needed to replace our beautiful old wood doors. I really wanted something that looked as much like the original doors as possible. They were able to get us something we loved and still love.

Chris arrived on time and did an excellent job installing handles and sink faucet. We are extremely pleased with Fix'm Home Repair service. .

That service was great. I had a long list of things to address. He was able to address things farther into the list than I had expected. He completed things very quickly. They will be the first people we call for an estimate for a future project.

I couldn't be more pleased with Fix'm. Hired four hours of handyperson services through one of Angie's List's "Big Deal" opportunities at about 50% off the usual rate. Prompt arrival, friendly service. I had a ceiling fan light fixture that no longer functioned, and wanted it removed and replaced with a new light fixture. During removal it was discovered that some of the wires were no good and also that there had been incorrect wiring to the dimmer and second control switch. The excellent technician was able to replace and repair everything much quicker than expected, even with the unanticipated wiring problems. Because of the efficiency, there was extra time available to request a few additional small repairs to doorknobs, loose screws, paper towel and smoke detector installation, etc. The quality of work was excellent and the speed was remarkable. I will definitely use Fix'm Home Repairs in the future for all those annoying little service projects I never get around to completing on my own.

I can answer the question as to how it went overall, simply fantastic. Now ,as the details of the story from finish to start...humm that's kind of a hard one when you have kids running around and interruptions. I do remember being very please with their bedside manner and the speed at which the project was done. I also remember how friendly, and unbelievably knowledgeable the receptionist who scheduled the appointment was. She even helped me figure out the best use for my coupon, based on the many projects I needed done. That was a 4 Star moment for me- an actual person taking their time to listen and discuss my needs, and over the phone! She ROCKS!!

The jobs were done perfectly. He arrived on time, carried out the work efficiently, and completed everything in the expected amount of time.

fixed for number of hours needed

I hired them to fix a screen door that was hanging off kilter. He just banged 2 nails in the door and left after 10 minutes. The quality was terrible and I would not recommend them to anyone.
