Fix'm Home Repairs LLC

I used Fix'm twice. First time they came in and caulked a leaking skylight. That experience was good. So I called them again for - a. indoor caulking (a kitchen counter top, a bathroom sink, a shower bottom and a bath tub) and b. outdoor caulking (a window flashing for a leak). This time two people showed up instead of one. One was probably experienced who was mainly directing the other gentleman. They charged 6 hours between the two for this job which I think is way too much. Caulking isn't an activity that you need a helper or direction. To top it all the outdoor caulking didn't fix the window leak. Next time I call a handyman I'll make sure that they only send one person and not two. At $73 per hour I expect people who show up not need directions from another person.

I used that company for years and there was one fellow who they would sent all the time so he was all these little home repair things and I really liked him well some where along the line I don't know if he left the company or what but they started sending me another repair guy same guy and I just didn't like his work I just didn't. I probably wouldn't recommend them.

Pest control people could not get rid of the squirrels so we are kind of on hold to do some work for me. I have used this company before. I have been real happy with everything they have done. They are really great. I have plans to use them again.

Nate did a great job. He was very prompt. The price was right in the range he quoted and he built exactly what we needed. He was very professional and completed as much work out of the house as he could so as to keep the mess to a minimum. He finished many square feet of shelving in one day.

I didnt think remodeling could ever run this smoothly. Loren and his crew were very professional, fair and pleasant to work with. Loren has a great staff and group of contractors he uses for the work. Our neighbors even commented on how thoughtful and nice the workers were. He provides high quality work and beautiful finished product. We highly recommend him to anyone who plans to remodel.

Our handyman Chris did a great job and was on time and efficient getting the work done. The attic insulation was subcontracted out and was installed with no issues. The tub surround was gutted by Chris from fix'm and then the sheet rock was installed by him. The new surround was installed by a sub contractor who were friendly and everyone cleaned up after their work was completed. There was dust flying all over the place from the drywall work and you should not expect it all to be removed from every nook and cranny. If you expect that, you may be disappointed. I however was pleased with the overall experience and would definitely recommend Fix'm. A+

They provide a lot of different kinds of home repair services. Depending on what service you want, they send over the people they have working for them who are good in that area. Once you contact them, then your in contraction with the person who is good in that area so I like personal contact with that person, listen to me and talk over what he might do as well as some question about whether he should redo things. I've used them several times for various things.

Everything went great. Chris did great work and was very polite and nice about it.

They are responsive. Quality of work is very good.

Great experience. The job was done on time and actually less than the estimate! I'm not sure that has ever happened! Nathan was very professional and thorough. Definitely plan to use this company again!

We did not use Fix'M. I got a few estimates to re-screen a 3 season porch. The estimator Loren examined the job site for less than 5 minutes, in which time he jokingly responded to my question saying that the estimate would take the longest and be the most expensive. Unfortunately he was correct. I waited for 3-4 weeks for the estimate and it came back more than twice as high as a competitor ($1500 vs $3500).

We are very satisfied with the work Fix'm did for us. Initially we used them for a couple small things (hanging doors, replacing a bathroom vent, installing new baseboard heaters) and decided to try them for our kitchen remodel (removing old cabinets, plumbing, countertops and reinstalling new). Since they charge hourly, I was able to do a few things myself to save a few dollars which was nice. Since it was a small job, the contractors I reached out via Menards weren't very interested and one in fact refused to provide an itemized estimate with his quote (which in the end was nearly 40% more than what Fix'm ultimately charged). I worked with Linda at the office (who was responsive and helpful in scheduling the work) and Chris who did the actually work. Chris was fantastic and did a superior job. He was able to make some slight modifications and suggestions to our plan that really helped. Thanks Fix'm, you really helped add value to our condo with the fantastic kitchen remodel you did for us!

They showed up and cleaned our gutters last November and they did not do a very good job. I called them and they sent a guy out about a week ago and he did a great job. He did a very thorough job and he was quick.

They are fine to work with. I have been used them in the past. They generally send out the same contractor and they have all the necessary materials with them. It is an all inclusive service and they can handle a lot of things. Their price is a little more expensive but they are usually available to you.

Chris arrived right on time. We needed to have 4 light fixtures removed and replaced with new ones which we had already purchased. Upon opening the boxes, we discovered 2 glass domes were broken. Chris needed to run out to grab some supplies, so he also exchanged the damaged items for us as well. The finished product looks great. He was efficient, explained what he was doing, and made some great suggestions for future reference. We would definitely call again.

A serviceman came out the day after I phoned. He was very polite and professional. All repairs were made in 1 1/2 hours. I would definitely recommend Fix'm and plan to use them in the future. I believe their hourly rate was $53 hour.

Nice job, done quickly and well.

The contractor got the job done, but not quite satisfactorily with the indoor clothes-line. He said that he did not want to charge us extra by spending time making the line taut - we could do that ourselves. But I've not seen how that can be done. Additionally, when he attached the indoor clothesline he did not use screws, but thin wire nails. Unsurprisingly, the whole assembly came off the wall eventually and we had to remount it properly. Luckily no one was injured when it fell. Also, one of the tasks was replacing a dimmer light switch with a regular on/off switch. Even though we had informed the contractor about the nature of this task before he showed up, he seemed really unsure how to do it and spent a not insignificant amount of time on the phone with a co-worked/supervisor trying to figure it out - time for which we were charged. Overall, he seemed to take quite a long time to get everything done. Those 3 tasks took him about 3 hours. The price did not include the cost of any of the hardware, which we provided. The contractor provided the two pieces of scrap wood used to attach the indoor clothesline.

I use them all the time. They're fine. They did a great job. I don't worry that they're gonna mess anything up. They have a second person to change what they did.

They did a nice job, and I was very happy with their work. I noticed a day or two later that there was some discoloration around the ceiling fan, and they came back and fixed that. They are very responsive. I would recommend them. I have used them before, and they are very good.

Nate came and took measurements, obtained my preferences, and gave me a book with photos of various door options. He told me where I could look at the various doors, and even gave me the name of a salesperson at the place with whom I could discuss the options. Nate told me I could have the door painted just how I wanted it. After I choose the door I wanted, we set an appointment time for Nate to pick up the door from the dealer, and to come and install it. He arrived right on time, put in the new door, gave me keys. We tried out the keys and he showed me how everything worked. The door was exactly want I wanted, and was painted just how I had wanted. Nate was polite courteous and helpful in every way. I would highly recommend Fix'M Home Repairs, LLC. And, if I would need any kind of home repair in the future, I would certainly contact this company again.

I cannot say one bad thing about Fix'm. They are prompt, very courteous and neat. We have always been very pleased with their service. Everyone is easy to work with and very pleasant. We had some minor changes but that was also easy. They are very patient and questions are welcomed. You never have to feel bad about asking the question. We also found that more than anyone we have worked with in the past, that they have skills to do every thing from the smallest job to very large jobs.
