I put an inquiry into the website and they responded right away. Loren (owner) came over within a few days to do a walk-through estimate. He was on time (even early) and seemed nice enough, but really didn't offer anything to the conversation except to say "uh-huh, we can do that" over and over. (that's fine, but a little input is always nice) They physically mailed it to me so it took a little longer (a bit old school, but ok, no problem). Then I looked at the estimate. HOLY MOLY. To paint our bedroom (16x14, no patching, no ceiling) they estimate $640? To install a bedroom door is estimated at $350? NOTE: This is all labor only - not materials. So my $69 bedroom door is going to be five times that to install?! Strangest part is that at the bottom of the estimate it says labor is $63 per man our plus 15% profit. OK...so based on that, it's going to take 5 hours to hang one bedroom door? To run a cable wire under my carpet is $120 (so that apparently it takes almost 2 hours to run a cable 14 feet). And to hang drapes over 2 windows it's going to cost $350. So I guess screwing in the two rods will take 5 hours too? Not impressed. No thanks. I don't mind paying a reasonable amount for someone to do the work. This is not reasonable at all. I gave them a "C" overall because I can not speak to their quality of work and I don't want it to be unfair for that, but definitely an "F" for pricing.

The company was great at communicating by email and accommodating about setting dates for my day off. The workman arrived on time and a lot got done in the 2hrs allotted by the "coupon." It was a reat opportunity to get things done I could not do myself. thank you.

This was 5 months ago so I don't remember in detail, but I know I was very happy with the quality of the work done. He had supplies in his truck for almost everything. I think I recall running to ACE Hardware (a short local trip) for some small item so he could keep working while I got the part. (I had offered to do this.) I would definitely hire him again for any future handyman needs.

Went well. Great folks to work with. The weather interfered with the outdoor part of the job and they came back to finish as soon as the weather cooperated.

It was great. As the handyman started I ran and got some needed supplies to complete the job (that I hadn't thought of). He was able to complete what I wanted and was able to stay an extra hour (with my approval) to complete the job, so it was not left un-done.

Their office manager promptly responded to my questions. The handyman was very knowledgeable and courteous, worked quickly and did a good job of cleaning up after the install. Overall very high quality impression and highly recommended.

They are a very good general handyman and home repair service. They are expensive but very professional.

I was impressed with the quick response to the email I submitted on the Fix'm website. The work was scheduled to meet my request for completion by August 10. Chris arrived promptly. I was very impressed with his knowledge of all of the types of work needed and with the professional way he went about completing the work.

We were so pleased with the work done. Neither my husband nor I are handy, and we had a list of small things that we had let go for some time. The person who came was competent, pleasant and moved quickly from job to job, even doing other things along the way that he noticed. We will definitely call this company again when our to do list grows again.

WOW---Mike is great. I would describe his work as outstanding. He came up with solutions when I didn't see them, and his work looks great and works great, too. I will definitely ask Fix'm again when I need some odd jobs done!

Overall went very well... service man personable, easy to work with, accommodating for exactly what I wanted to have completed.

Chris arrived on time and installed the first simple storm door on the side of the garage. The second Larson storm door was a cmplex high security door with three dead bolt locks which took extra time to install. Chris had never installed this type of door before, and did an excellent job. Total time was five (5) hours.

They are very reasonable. They are good workers. For gutter cleaning, they charged under a $100 or $100. For the installation because it involved an electrician from an electrical contractor plus his labor guy, it was about a $1000 for the installation for the appliances. He was really good.

Tom from Fix'm Home Repairs came within the time (one hour) that was estimated when the job was scheduled. He evaluated and discussed the repair with me. He picked out the materials needed for the repair from a local business. He did the fascia replacement and then picked-up the old fascia taken off the house. From arrival to finish the elapsed time was about 1.25 hr. I was very satisfied with this repair experience.

John arrived on 5/3/12 promptly and install the flower boxes in about 45 min. Than the was going to change the faucets in master bath, but said that I need plumber, he call his friend, but the work will not be done for couple of weeks. I have taken the day off from work to have the small jobs done and was very disappointed that I will need to take another vacation day to complete the work. It is also very discouraging that I have not received the promised bids for the other work from Loran.

The overall experience was good. I would use this provider again.

They patched the holes to make it look blended to where we didn't have to replace the wood.

He was very punctual and very polite. He followed through with sending me an estimate very quickly. I did get a couple of estimates that came in lower. I am still waiting to do the work. He did seem quite professional.

I haven't seen them; I still need to have the work performed.

They were very professional and they were very focused on getting the job done. Everything turned out very good.

I asked for a bid on a number of small jobs like rehanging kitchen cupboard doors and doing a small amount of cement work in the basement. The response was professional but price astronomical.

My experience was excellent from start to finish. I am not easy to impress and very very picky, but I was totally satisfied with the work they completed. I plan to use them again for a few other projects.

I had some vertical, out swinging windows that weren't closing well or sealing. It looked like the windows had just sagged or the house had shifted and they no longer lined up, so I thought I would be looking at replacing the windows. I had two handymen companies take a look. The other company simply confirmed my initial suspicions and said my best bet was to seal them up and just not open the windows that weren't currently lined up properly. The Mike from Fix'm came and after some more detailed inspection, he figured out that the window sashes had somehow become unsealed from the window panes and were simply sagging a bit. Mike and Tom then came out, used some shims to push the sashes back into the correct position, and then re-glued the sashes to the glass. For $500, my windows are like new. Awesome - just awesome.

He did fine. I had a list of things for him to do; there was just one item that he missed. He did have to go get some parts, so that affected the price.
