+ 0 moreafter trusting his quote of $2000.00 for a ridge cap to repair a troubled roof, found out later he was 5 times the cost of other roofers. he also missed the fact that i needed a ridge vent. also installed the wrong leaf/weather guard over my gutters., and refused to mitigate. quoted twice as much to eventually replace the roof. very unsatisfactory!

+ 0 moreI called for an estimate, and Jim took all the information and came out to give me an estimate with within a couple days. The estimate was very reasonable, and in fact well below a couple other estimates I received. The problem I had was the communication of when they would actually begin the work. I had to call several times to get a range of when the work would begin, and learned that they were going to start by someone coming to put a sign in my front yard. After a week of no crew showing up to begin work I called and was told there was a delay because other jobs were taking longer than expected. After another week, a delivery truck showed up to drop off all the supplies and told me that he was told that they were going to begin work the next day. That is how I found out they were going to begin work, despite multiple calls to try and get an answer from the company about it. When they crew showed up, they were very professional, on time, and did a fantastic job. The work that was done looks very good, and I was extremely happy with the actual work. The only challenge I encountered was the communication from the office regarding the schedule of the work to be done.
Description of Work: Noffke performed a complete tear off of several layers of asphalt shingles and cedar shake. They replaced the entire roof and the gutters.

Description of Work: We needed to replace a 20 year old cedar shake roof which had deteriorated to the point of allowing squirrels into our attic, and obtained bids from 3 different companies, including Noffke, whose name had been given to us by our wildlife control company. Jim came out promptly; there was a bit of a delay on giving us a bid, but this was through a miscommunication on my part. We decided to go with Noffke, not only because their bid was the lowest of the three, but because they seemed the most responsive of the companies we'd contacted. Ultimately, we decided to replace the roof with asphalt shingles - Certainteed Landmark Premier, I believe. (Less fire risk, less maintenance, and less cost). The crew called us to let us know when they would be starting, showed up on time, worked late in the day, and, with the exception of the final chimney flashing (which they completed roughly 10 days later, I believe due to weather issues), were done in 5 days. Our roof also was not a simple project - multiple levels and slopes. The guys were very nice, very professional, and cleaned up the site very well. There was accidental damage to one of our landscape lighting fixtures, and they have offered to pay for the repair. We used another company for the gutters, mainly due to the fact that we wanted a particular type of gutter that Noffke did not use. The roof looks wonderful; we've gotten numerous compliments from our neighbors, not only for the roof, but for the crew, as well. I suppose that time will tell, as to the quality of the roof and the work, but, thus far, we couldn't be happier.

+ -1 morethis was the third time they had to come out to repair the rubber roof (which leaked), and to repair a portion that they had done incorrectly a couple of months prior. The leak was not repaired and they insisted on charging me for repairs to correct their previous work. I am now using Industrial Restoration/C&S. Much better and I'll have them put on a new roof this summer.

+ -1 moreIt is a fairly well known company in the area for roofing business. Our experience with them has been very positive. We had hail damage and they called and gave us the estimate. We spotted that their price would be covered by our insurance company so we went with them. They were very punctual. We retuned the deposit with their quote. They sent immediate response saying that they received the deposit and would be calling us in the next few weeks to schedule the time to begin the work. They did exactly what they said they would. It was very clean when they finished the work. We found little pieces of shingles and nails here and there but roofing can be a messy job. When they finished the roof it looked great. We had a couple of problems afterwards it was because the way the house was constructed. They came back out assessed what needed to be done and how much it would cost. We have used them at 3 different occasions and it’s been a very positive experience all the way around. I used them for roof and shortly after that we had some problem with the ice damn on the roof and it was leaking through. I called the representative. He said it was one part where the problem was and I said that was exactly the spot where the problem laid. He told me what needed to be done. They came back out when the weather broke. The problem was where the second storey wall hit the roof. They came back out and pulled back the siding and installed water proof barrier between there and the roof. We had no problems after that. Last year they did some siding for us at the back of our house.

+ -1 moreNoffke was the only company out of the 10 that I called that responded and showed up. I received one other phone message that said they would be able to take a look at it "next week". I was very disappointed in the lack of response by these people.
Description of Work: Repaired raccoon damage to my roof. Raccoon had eaten all the way through the roof. It was a bad leak.
