 + 1 moreWe talked to several people before deciding on Miller; we liked the products they supplied and the fact that we were talking to the owner of the company. He had his own crew; no sub-contractors. They came out, draped our house with tarps to protect plants and windows; it was a large crew (6 people?) and they literally arrived after I had left for work and were done before I came home. My husband took lots of pictures. They were organized and very professional. We found a couple of roofing nails and a few small bits of old roofing when they were done; no other evidence other than a gleaming new roof. If I recall correctly, the gutter and fascia were done on a separate occasion but one visit one based off of the other. I will update as I remember more information.
Description of Work: Complete tear-off and replacement of house roof; remove and replace all gutters, fascia and downspouts

 + -1 moreI can't say enough about Pat, Pat's right-hand man, Eric, and the crew. Not only did they stay within budget, but they did BEAUTIFUL work, were very professional and a lot of fun! Pat's quote was one of the lower quotes, but you would not know it because the quality of his work is superb. In short, they exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for very affordable quality work, look no further than Miller construction. My husband and I are actually going to miss them. We had the work done to upgrade our house, to sell and move into another. They did such a great job, that it's going to be hard to leave, who knows? We may just up and decide to add a 2-story addition on!
Description of Work: Pat and crew remodeled 2 bathrooms, a family room (including fireplace) and basement stairwell.

Description of Work: Replaced roof valleys. Ten inches of snow the winter of 07-08 was hard on our roof. During the 10 inches of rain in the of June 08 our roof valley leaked a lot. We had buckets catching water on the first & second floors. We called a number of roofers from Angie's List. Some came right away, but said they couldn't fix the leak. Some said they would come out in a month. When I called Pat, he was out of state on vacation, but he asked me to call his son Sam. Sam & Eric the roof man were at my house in 30 minutes. They told me they would fix the leaking roof valley & Pat would get back to me. The next week when Pat got back from vacation he came over, gave me a quote, I paid him & told him to go ahead ASAP. Then it rained & we went off on vacation. Pat & his employees repaired the roof while we were gone.

 + 5 morePrompt arrival for preparing quote. Honored quote after 60 days when we finally called back. Scheduled the actual work a week after we agreed to quote and was able to complete everything in 3 days. We added to the job after he arrived (separate quote), and he was able to complete that work as well. We thought this was a very reasonable price. They arrived on time each day and cleaned up before the left each evening.
Description of Work: First: Relocated a closet door by removing closet door and trim in living room, covered opening with dry wall, prepared wall for painting. Cut opening in plaster foyer wall for new closet door, constructed door jam, patched plaster cracks and prepared walls for painting. Installed drywall inside closet to cover old doorway. Door trim and hanging the new door will be done by ourselves. Re-routed electrical in living room to include two wall sconces on former closet wall. We installed the light fixtures. Second: Cut loft opening or pass through in upstairs closet along staircase. Relocated existing electrical outlets, switches and ceiling light. Prepared new light fixture for new ceiling location. Mudded staircase walls where there were plaster cracks.
