Description of Work: Removed lint from dryer vent hose. | |Quick service. Higly overpriced. I believed this to be personal. He asked about our grandfather closk. I told him I found it at a steal for $250.00. He did not seem pleased. When I asked him to reduce his service fee he refused. You run couplns for this all the time and the full retail is never over $130.00!

Description of Work: He charged a 158 just to diagnose the problem,. It turns out the part may be under warranty but only if electrolux authorized service does it. He is not certified by them. Even if he was certified he was going to charge another 125 to install part. I did not ask price up front..my mistake. However if you call understand his pricing

Description of Work: He diagnosed the problem over the phone and came in ready to complete the diagnosis and repair. I couldn't have asked for better prompt and professional service. My only concern was that we are only a mile from his office, and we were charged about $135 for the service call and another $100 for the repair and the $25 part. That's pretty steep for his 30 minutes door-to-door service call. But he once diagnosed a problem for free over the phone, told me what to look for, and he was right. So I suppose it all comes out in the wash. I'd definitely use him again.

Description of Work: My husband worked with the owner, Tom and this is his report. Very quick service and accurately identified failed part in short order in gas dryer that was not maintaining heat. Tom shared what issues he had seen in the past with our brand as well and answered all questions. He charged $150 payable immediately, for the diagnosis (there is no travel charge) which seemed high but husband did not confirm rate prior to setting up service and Tom ended up being able to look at it the same day so husband did not complain. Learned the following morning what the cost would be for the part with markup and that it would cost another $150 to install. So husband decided to order the part and install it himself which he did and dryer is now running fine. Can recommend but would also suggest you discuss rates up front.

Description of Work: Replaced harness in Kenmore washer machine. Tom usually knows what the problem is right away, he's been doing this for a long time. Good guy, good service. He can also tell you what to buy and what not to buy in appliances because he knows their service history.

Description of Work: When one thing goes... Came to fix dishwasher- turns out it wasn't installed properly so it was out of alignment - causing machine to "think" door wasn't closed therefore it wouldn't turn on/ operate. Of course it was just months out of warranty. Ice Maker in fridge quit working in the meantime- had to order a new one and came back to install. At the time I was bemoaning the cost of refrigerator filters ($48/ filter change every three months) We have reverse osmosis water running to the kitchen which is about the purest available so he mentioned a bypass ($75?) so NO MORE filters! Within a short time that alone will have made up for the cost of all repairs. He was on time, very well versed in his trade and a nice human being.

Description of Work: Had them fix my oven on two separate occassions. Both times, they responded quickly to my phone call, were one time, and completed the work quickly. Final price was the exact same as the estimate on both occasions. May have been a bit pricey, but the customer service and professionalism were top-notch.

Description of Work: MY 17 MONTH OLD MAYTAG WASHER DEVELOPED A HUGE RACKET WHEN SPINNING AND THEN QUIT ALLTOGETHER. TOM RESEARCHED WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY UNCOMMON MODEL OF WASHER AND WHAT IT WOULD PROBABLY COST. (MORE THAN HALF THE ORIGINAL COST OF THE WASHER). HE GAVE ME ALL MY OPTIONS AND HIS OPINION ON WHETHER OR NOT IT WAS WORTH IT TO FIX. I OPTED TO SPEND THE MONEY AND MY WASHER IS NOW WORKING BETTER THAN WHEN I BOUGHT IT.

Description of Work: THE COMPANY FOUND A DEFECTIVE SPARK MODULE PREVENTING THE GAS RANGE FROM WORKING. THEY INSTALLED A NEW SPARK MODULE AND ALSO REPLACED THE OVEN BULB WHICH HAD BROKEN OFF IN THE SOCKET.

Description of Work: WE HAD TOM COME OUT TO LOOK AT OUR DISHWASHER AS IT WAS LEAKING. HE CAME OUT THE SAME DAY--AS HE ALWAYS DOES AND HE TOOK A GOOD LOOK AT IT AND COULD SEE NO AREA OF LEAKAGE. HE SUGGESTED THAT MAYBE THERE WAS TOO MUCH DETERGENT IN THE MACHINE. HE ALSO SUGGESTED THAT WE USE A DIFFERENT BRAND OF DETERGENT. HE THOROUGHLY CLEANED OUR DISHWASHER AND TOLD US THAT IT IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND SHOULD GIVE US A FEW MORE GOOD YEARS OF SERVICE.
