The owner, Wade Atters, is very prompt to return calls and e-mails. The appointment for the estimate was made quickly and the estimate was returned quickly. He and his staff consistently demonstrated a superb combination of personable, friendliness, professionalism, and highly considerate our needs and of our landscape.

One word: Excellent. Wade Alters (the owner) was on-site every day supervising his workers and making sure they understood exactly what they were to do daily. He and his crew were ALWAYS on time, very punctual. At the conclusion of every day's work, they cleaned up, put everything away, and you could hardly tell they were in the middle of a very large project. The crew was extremely polite, hard working, and dedicated. They are not "just painters." These men are truly craftsmen who take extreme pride in their work. This was a very big job, with painting cabinets, trim, and difficult areas which encompassed two rooms. The previous owners of the home did a lot of amateur faux painting and left a mess. Walters Painting made everything look new and clean. The work included drywalling; prepping, painting, and lots of labor. In the middle of the project, my wife changed her mind on the color of the paint and also asked for additional items not on the original estimate. Wade Alters complied with no complaints and the additional items were not as costly as we had imagined. We have used this firm before for extensive exterior painting of our home and large wooden deck. In this day and age, it is hard to find honest, reliable, courtesy, and price-conscious workers. Wade and his crew are truly class acts. I would use them again in a New York minute. Please understand that I don't normally rave about contractors, painters, and service companies. But when credit is due, I will. I can't say enough about the professionalism and quality of Walters Painting. My wife and I intend to use them again this fall for continued painting of all the rest of our rooms in our home. Don't hesitate to book them. You will not be sorry. They're worth every cent.

Wade came & gave us the estimate & we worked together on getting the work scheduled and completed before the weather got too cold. His crew did a fabulous job of being very careful in setting up and working around our belongings. They cleaned up each day and communicated clearly about any extra needs they saw on the house.

Somewhat disorganized on what they would be accomplishing day by day. This led to a lack of us being able to properly pack up the necessary areas. The wallpaper border removal created a tremendous mess, which we were not prepared for. It took us a complete day to clean up our house after they were done. Several spot were either missed with paint or are very light (pre-existing paint showing thru. There were repairs done to a wall in a main room, where there was no initial damage and and then repaired very poorly. The paint also seems to come off when trying to do a spot clean up. I expected at least some follow up from the company other than e-mailing a final bill, to see if there were any issues or concerns.

Wade painted the exterior of our 115 year old farm house that had not been painted since the mid 1970's. It completely transformed our property and the experience and price were both the best I have had with a contractor. The wood on the exterior did not cover as expected and Wade went above and beyond to apply a high grade sealer to the entire house at no additional charge. His guys were courteous and cleaned up every day. He is now painting several rooms in the interior of the house both upstairs and down for us. Again, same great quality and attention to detail. Very professional and a great value. It is hard to find good painters. I would highly recommend him for any project. I won't call anyone else.

The bid process was smooth and quick. They were the highest of four bids, but we decided to use them based on the approach Wade described and the quality of the paint. We had a crew of 3 to 5 painters every day. Wade came at the beginning and periodically during the job. The entire group of painters were reasonably professional; they were always on time and did exactly what they said they would do. On the whole, they were neat painters. However, on the first day, they started with an inadequate number of drop cloths. When we complained, Wade remedied that quickly and we had no residual damage from it. Overall paint quality was high, although we have since found one spot that was not covered, but it is subtle. Had we seen it before they left, I am sure they would have fixed it. We would definitely hire them again; the paint job looks great and they worked to meet our time table.

It didn't go very well. We did a review after they were finished and there were some issues. First, the wall in the living room has a great big circle in it. The heating control box is on that wall and they were supposed to patch around it and it is basically hanging out from the wall now. In the kitchen, they were supposed to paint the molding and cover up all the holes in the molding, and they didn't. They also left white paint on my many thousand dollar cabinets. We talked to them and they said they were going to come back the next week and repair that. But they never came back to fix it, never called or emailed. I haven't heard anything since from him. I was so upset about the whole thing.

it went very well - Matt and his crew were awesome. I negotiated this deal from North Carolina where we are living now while trying to sell our home in Wisconsin. Matt asked for no money up front - sent me the bill and I mailed his payment to him, I felt very comfortable letting Matt have access to our home and with no oversight at all to complete the job. It definitely helped us sell our home and was much less expensive than a complete bathroom remodel. I will be recommending him to our former neighbors and friends still in Wisconsin.

They did a very thorough job, replacing rotten wood on the exterior as they went. They were here when they said they would be, worked hard to get the job done, and did a great job of cleaning up as they left. On the interior, they were concerned that I be pleased with the finished product. To help upgrade the powder room, Wade (the owner) suggested I replace a mirror that was dated. (This did not add to my bill -- I bought the mirror from a 3rd party.) The workmen were skilled in placing the mirror under the existing light fixture, and I was very pleased with the result. It truly gave the room a nice lift. The price reflects 5,500.00 for the exterior and 2,400.00 for 3 interior rooms and exposed stairway, one room needed wallpaper removed. I highly recommend Walters Painting.

They started by power washing and caulking. They were on time every day and there were no goof offs on the team. Wade checked in at least once per day. This was a big job - three stories and higher at some points. They stuck with it and finished two coats plus trim in one week. It's beautiful.

Fabulous - Wade came to get overview & provide estimate; Wade stopped by first morning with workers - offered to do even more than requested (at same price!!). Great clean up (including scrapings). Excellent service!! I would definitely use them again & STRONGLY recommend this firm.

They were on time, every day. Courteous, professional, hard working. The owner, Wade, was on site personally supervising and overseeing the work. Every evening they cleared the work site and put everything away in their large, professional, trailer. They worked like dogs in blistering heat and humidity, and stayed on task, day after long day. After all was finished, Wade, the owner, came out personally and spent an hour going over the crew's work. Several items were noticed and he immediately made phone calls to get the items taken care of (gutter downspout attached; touch up spots, etc.) I was given VIP treatment from beginning to end. The cost was exactly per the estimate, with an extra $ 1,350 for the extensive deck work due to the previous owner not taking very good care of it. Money well spent! I would HIGHLY recommend Walter's Painting to everyone. And as a Pastor of a very large church, I just might hand out their business cards following church! By the way, I sought multiple estimates from other painters, and interviewed at least 3 other firms. Angie's list was right on target with Walter's Painting. I plan to have them paint the interior of my home this fall. I can't rave enough!

Sorry I didn’t get a chance to see you before you left yesterday, but I did want to say how pleased we are with everything We could not be more pleased with the way our house turned out. You guys are top shelf! You got right on the project immediately, your team was at our house when you said they were going to be here and they finished everything within one week. The workmanship is outstanding and your team was focused to complete the job in a timely manner while maintaining quality. They left our house cleaned up and tidy every night as if it were their own. I would recommend Walters Painting to anyone who wanted their home painted. Don’t hesitate to have them call me.

The family room cost $500. The other work was either one or two thousand. They were professional and did a good job. They were attentive to detail. They got done in a timely manner and they were here when they said they would be. I was absolutely flabbergasted at how fast they did the family room. I couldn't believe it and it was a good job. I was very, very surprised that they got it done so fast. There were two men and it took one morning. They did two coats. The price was right in there and we had gotten other estimates. It was fair, but we thought $500 was a little high for the family room and we didn't get any other estimates for that. The quality was excellent. They responded to everything and returned calls. It went very quickly and they did a good job.

I called and left a message to call back. They called right back and scheduled an appointment to come out. They pointed out a few things like some cracks that I had not noticed. They gave me a quote. Everything was done very professionally. I have not had the time to deal with it. So I have not had the job done. It has been a while now and I am not sure if they will honor it. I will have them update the estimate.

The work began with power washing existing trim, revealing several areas where wood had rotted and been painted over. The trim has complex dental detailing near the roof line, some of which had rotted. The contractor, Wade Alters, explained the importance of properly repairing these sections and recommended solutions that fit our limited budget. The repair work also included custom fitted replacement boards on some sills. Mr. Alters sent in a carpenter who did a fine job of replacing the damaged sections in a timely manner. The schedule was not interrupted other than by a few days of rain. Mr. Alters was proactive in moving the schedule foward, and his crew finished the work on time and on budget. We are supremely pleased with the quality of the work and continue to receive compliments on how nice our home looks. This is a customer-friendly company that understands and delivers quality. This was a great experience for us. Wade Alters is our first call when we do more work on our home.

They did a great job. They were friendly, on time and clean. I was just thrilled. They did a beautiful job. They might have been a little high, but they did two coats and I didn't even ask them to do that.

They were great. Wade came over for the estimate so we could go over the options on changing the color of our metal storm/screens to freshen up the look of the house. Work was done right when he estimated at the time of our meeting, and the guys were great. They were really prompt, and resolved a few downspout issues the same day we brought them to their attention.

Wade is very professional. He gave me a prompt and accurate estimate. He was the only contractor that quoted two coats of paint because I had a dark existing exterior color. His guys showed up on time. I was amazed at how much they accomplished in a day. Also they left no mess behind, always picked up their stuff. In the end our house looked great, I would definitely recommend them.

He was very good. His crew was very good too. They were very efficient as they completed the work in one day. They were polite. They cleaned up after themselves. They arrived on time. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They stuck to the negotiated price and there were no add-ons to it.

These guys were great! The carpenter was very professional and kept us informed and sought our advice on how far we wanted to go with repairs and materials. The paint crew worked like beavers, power washing the house, then scraping all surfaces, then applying primer and two coats of paint. The house looks better than it has for years. Job was done within budget and in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend this company to our friends and family.
