Walter's Painting

Walters Painting did an excellent job for us. I feel very lucky for having found them on Angie's List. They were the right price and the most professional team. I would use them again in a heartbeat. We had purchased our home a few years ago and it was fading and we really needed it painted. Wade gave me a quote via email - he came out while I wasn't home and took his estimates - we continued to communicate via email because we needed some cedar siding replaced, he waited until our siding was complete and then put us on his calendar -(only a week later!!). His crew was excellent - they came early, they got the job done, drop cloths, taped the edging, cleaned up each day and were very polite (no loud music, very professional guys). I had approximately 7 other quotes between $6300-$8000. I was astounded! So of course I worried that maybe Walters Painting was too good to be true. But based on the other reviews and now knowing Wade & the guys (Darren, Steve, Tim & Aaron) - I wouldn't recommend or use anyone else. We changed our house color from Blue w/ white shutters to Gray w/ black shutters and it looks AMAZING!!! I absolutely love it and am so happy. Thank you Walters Painting!!! Great Job!

I commute for work, so it's tough to be home for estimates, etc. during the week. No problem for Walters Painting! We communicated a lot by email, and before you know it, it was time for my house to be painted. It was in sad need of paint, too. They were very thorough and attentive to detail. Kept me informed about what was going on at all times. And... it looks absolutely wonderful. Not the lowest price, but worth every penny!

Wade Alter, owner, provided us with a fixed price quote for painting our cedar home. In April we experienced leaks where wind-driven rain pushed through cracks and unprotected surfaces in the siding. The crew sanded the entire house, filled cracks, arranged for a contractor to replace damaged planks, and applied one primer and two finish coats of acrylic stain. Trim and accent painting were done carefully and the result is a beautiful home that looks and performs better than new! The only extras we paid for were replacement siding planks (and labor) and repainting the shutters a darker shade when we found the original color we selected did not meet our expectations. We had several "down days" because of the near constant rain, but Wade and his crew were at work every day weather would permit. The site was cleaned each day. We are completely satisfied with the results and feel confident that our cedar siding will last for many years to come!

Several attempts were made via phone calls to them to have an estimate done. All calls resulted in us leaving messages that were never answered. Only after my wife left a message on their email address did we get a response. An appointment was made for them to come out and give an estimate. The day of the estimate we received an email from him stating his job had run late and asked if it was OK to reschedule for another time. This would normally be OK with me if it had been done with a phone call not a email. I do not live in front of my computer. We attempted to call him back to reschedule with no luck. My wife sent an email back saying we could do it another time and have yet to have any response back. It has been over a week.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They left the job site neat and clean. It looks like they did a clean job. The communication wasn't always the smoothest but otherwise I would recommend him. He had good advice. He freely gave advice when I asked him about some do it yourself work that I was going to do.

Due to weather the job was delayed, which we could easily understand and accept. Once they started weather permitting they were punctuational and on the job and did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable painters along with the owner. Two coats both brush applied,very well done . I would recommend this contractor to anyone who wants to hire a painter, in fact we have done so to our neighbor.

There was an additional $130 on top of the Big Deal price of $199, which was very appropriate for what they did. I had used them before and so I knew that when I bought the deal it wouldn't be enough, but I knew he'd be fair. I'm going to have him come in and do some painting as I like him. He did a great job. It went very well. They got done very quickly, a lot quicker than I'd expected and I think it took them one day. We don't hire painters and things like that very often, but he'd painted the exterior of our house. He comes in and is prompt, he answers when you get in touch with him, he's very clean, they clean up everything after they're done working and I just really enjoy working with him. He's already provided me with a quote for painting where he removed the wallpaper.

Wade Alters was very responsive and professional. He did not need us to be home to complete the estimate which is appreciated due to our busy schedules. He emailed us the estimate and was very responsive to our subsequent questions. We decided to go with a different provider that was about 12% less expensive.

Went very well. Did a thorough job that took much less time than expected. I mentioned that to Walter and he gave me a discount. I also asked him for an estimate on another painting job on the exterior of my house and I intend to use him for that service also.

They did an amazing job of painting. The three painters were pleasant and cleaned up well when they finished. No paint got on our furniture, woodwork, or floors. We were very pleased. They even moved back some very heavy pieces of furniture for us at the end .We got three estimates from Angie's List for painters, and we picked Walter's because their bid was the lowest, and they assured us they were neat.

All went well. From initial contact to estimates to the finished job. We would highly recommend them.

Very prompt and professional. Within 4 days of calling Wade, he had provided an estimate and then completed the project. We plan on using his company again.

Workers were prompt and pleasant. They were very careful with taking care of carpet and floorings. They coverered everything with plastic, taped carefully, vacuumed before they left, carried out all materials removed, and supplies they used. They would let me know when they would be at the house. They were really concerned about not being in our way and making sure everything was returned to where it was before they came. The wallpaper was all removed the 1st day and walls washed down. Then it was a carefully orchestrated plan made between Walter's and the drywallers, so that the job could be done as quickly as possible and that everyone could work on it as much time as possible. So as areas were sprayed with drywall then Walter's could start priming the walls. All of it was done in approx 5 days, which included time for drywall finish drying and all of the prep work for the drywall. The wallpaper removal and painting took only a small portion of that time! We were very happy with the job Walter's Painting did and would definitely hire them in the future. We've already recommended them to neighbors who saw the great job that they did.

Two men came and stripped the wallpaper in my guest bath and my bedroom. They were very professional and did a good job. I am presently waiting for them to come back and put a product on the walls so that knockdown plaster can be put on next. I've been on vacation, but have been in contact with the owner and we are in the process of setting a date to put Guardz on the walls.

I called them kind of short notice, He brought out a a good size crew for the job and they got everything done in one day. They even went out and bought an extra gallon of paint only to use a quart of it just to make sure they had enough paint for me. The price was very reasonable and they were really polite and they did a beautiful job.

t took awhile to get appointment. Apparently there was alot of interest in this big deal. Wade came out to look at project and we picked a date. He showed on time and did an amazing job. He cleaned up and left room immaculate. The big deal was for I think 6 hours, he was done in less than 3. I would absolutely hire him again and refer him to friends and family.

Excellent! Two men arrived on time, and spent an entire morning to remove wallpaper. I am quite amazed at the great job they did! They worked with us to keep two computers up and running in the room while they stripped the wallpaper. Both men were quite nice and did a very professional job. We're considering having them come back and paint the room, if we hire someone to do it.

Overall everything went extremely well. Wade gave us insight into the condition of the walls and options for other rooms. He and his staff were a pleasure to work with. Everything was done very well, on a timely basis and they cleaned everything up before leaving.

Due to the Angie's List deal demand it took a little while to find a date that worked for the both of us but the service provided was great and the job was done quickly and professionally. In addition to moving furniture the crew also cleaned up so it was like no one was here. Pleased the whole way around.

I used the top 3 Angie's list painters to bid out the interior painting of my home. I knew it was going to be a large job, all walls, woodwork and ceilings needed fresh paint, so I wanted to do my due diligence and get some bids. All the companies that showed up were very professional, but this company stood out from all of them. The difference was that Wade?s bid included 2 coats of higher end paint, and all the others had defaulted out a bid of only 1 coat of lower grade paint. I liked how Wade knew what it would take to get the best results, and wasn't afraid to bid that out, instead of other companies that just seem to want to give you the lowest bid to win your business. The thing that impressed me most about this company was that the owner, not only seemed like he enjoyed the craft of his trade, but more importantly, he also liked doing a good job just as much as painting.

We are delighted with the results, The work was completed in less than a week. The painters were meticulous. They cleaned up after each day's work. We highly recommend Walter's Painting.

The guy came on the same day. He was very prompt and nice. We walked around the house together, and he is going to put something together and email it to us.

We had an excellent experience working with Wade and his crew. They were not the least expensive option but I believe you get what you pay for - and we got excellent service, excellent communication and a perfect carpentry and paint job. We received a number of quotes from other painters but Wade set himself apart from the rest in detailing how he would handle the wood replacement that was needed and how he prepared the wood before painting. Whether by cell phone or email, Wade always communicated in a timely manner and was very responsive to any questions we had. I have no hesitation in giving Walters Painting the highest recommendation.

Wade and his crew did an amazing job on our home to the point where several neighbors have asked who did the painting. Of course we referred them. The crew was professional accommodating to our requests and extremely clean. The project was started while I was out of town and Wade kept in touch with me via email to have a few last minute questions answered. By the time we got back our home had one coat of paint on and they were working on the second coat. GREAT JOB WADE!!!
