They did a HORRIBLE job and the owner of the company was very difficult to deal with and had no knowledge of how to do the job properly. I couldn't stand to look at the curbing that the other company installed so I called Jim at Porter's Borders. He came out and saw what a horrendous job the other company did and offered to take up all of the curbing and install new curbing for an extremely reasonable price. It is BEAUTIFUL!! I honestly could not ask for a better job. The color is perfect, the workmanship is amazing and they did an excellent clean up job. I would highly recommend!!!!

+ -1 moreJim Porter gave me the cheapest price of my estimates. You get what you pay for. He had to come back a second time because they did not provide the visual look that was promised. Gray coloring between the creases. After they did this, they sealed again and on the second seal, they sealed over bird poop and other yard debris. So this was a sorry sight for eyes. In one area they spilled the coloring and was a mess on the cement. Lastly, at the end of the bordering, the excess cement was thrown in my garden. Now I have chunks of cement in my garden.

Description of Work: Jim from Porter's Borders (the owner) returned my call & scheduled an appointment for an estimate for concrete landscape curbing. He arrived promptly, but seemed a bit disorganized. He had some photos, brochures & literature with color samples. However, he did not have any actual samples of the curbing. He measured the area and priced out approximately 142' of curbing. His estimate was definitely in the "ballpark" of all the other estimates we got. However, when asked for references, he grabbed his stack of invoices and started frantically paging through for nearby locations. When suggested that he could just e-mail them to me, he said he wanted to get them to me now, and kept searching. While he provided many locations, none were older than recently installed (we wanted to see some older installations, to assess how the product ages). When asked about his leadtime, he was already scheduling for mid to late summer, and we just didn't want to wait that long. This, along with his seeming sense of disorder / disorganization, led us to select another company.
