I filled out the questionnaire on Angie's list with full details about the problem. I then contacted Dave's and talk to the the female dispatcher about what I needed and described in detail what the problem was I was having. She set up an appointment for the following Monday and I asked her to have the technician call me when he was on his way so I could tell him what to look for as I was not going to be there but my mother (72) would let him in . He did not call but the dispatcher did . So I told my mother to have the technician call me while he was on site , she did and he said he wasn't going to call me that he would have his office call . Well that does me no good as I was trying to relay the washer problem to him . The office then called and said it was a lid locking problem , I then explained to her what it was doing again ( remember I explained it to her the week before when I set up the appointment ) she then said it sounded like it was a motherboard problem and that I should have told them that . I explained to her that not only did I write it down on the Angie's list questionnaire BUT I told her directly. Long story short she did not want to send the tech back to do a full diagnosis but wanted to push me back another week . Dont blame other people because you didnt relay correct info to your tech and you didn't check the Angie's list questionnaire. Needless to say they did not do the work and 5 minutes is not a service call diagnose .

Diagnosed problem quickly, which was a bad control panel. Had to wait for part to come in, and Dave came back and installed the new part. Response time was quick, and he was at our house slightly before the scheduled time - I received a call letting me know he was on his way. For an extra $22 he also took a look at our wash machine, and diagnosed the problem. (According to Dave's assessment, we decided not to have it fixed, given how much it would cost and how old then unit is). I'm never quite sure about how to grade the price, since I didn't have a bunch of comparisons. The majority of the cost was based on the control panel, which was listed as $217. Dave came out twice, once to assess the problem and again to install the new panel, charging $40 for the service call and $88 for labor (plus the $22 for looking at the wash machine). Assuming we have no more problems with the dishwasher, I would hire Dave for future service.

When I woke up this morning, our refrigerator had all but checked out. There was clicking. It wasn't cooling. There was zero ice, and the freezer was thawing. I attempted to schedule an appointment via GE's website and found that Tuesday would be the earliest appointment I could take due to work. I didn't want to wait, so I went to Angie's list and found Dave's. I sent a message explaining my issue and asked if someone might be able to come by to take a look today since I would be home all day. I received a call back within five minutes. Lisa told me she was going to try to get someone here and that she would get back to me within @ 20 minutes since he was en route to another job. She called back within that time to tell me that he would be able to take a look at our refrigerator after. I realize this is not always possible, but it worked out, and I was beyond grateful. Once he arrived, he diagnosed the problem and discussed options with us. I am so appreciative that he was able to stop by today because it would have made for a very long weekend. I absolutely recommend Dave's Appliance Service and will absolutely call there again for any future appliance issues that we have. Thank you so much!

Excellent, he was there quickly the only hold up was me finding time to be there. They got the job done quickly and efficiently. It has been over 30 days and it is still working well. In contrast to Sears which is where I bought an oven. It took 3 weeks to come out and find the issue then another 3 weeks to get the part. Their reason is because I had no extended warranty. Well of course I didn't they are a waste of money. Based on the quote of 400 a year to cover all appliances I have spent less than half of that on repairs.

They came when they were supposed to. They repaired it in a short amount of time and charged a fair price. I was very impressed and I will use them again if I have a large appliance repair.

The office staff and technician were very friendly and professional. They were able to schedule me the next business day in the morning. The technician was knowledgeable and was able to fix the problem relatively quickly. Highly recommended!

Showed up in the agreed-upon time window, made a knowledgeable diagnosis, and returned a few days later, again right on time, with the necessary parts. All very smooth. I recommend the company.

My dishwasher was not cleaning well lately. Scott inspected the dishwasher and cleaned out all of the filters and other areas. He said that the wash pressure was reduced because of all the build-up. All appears to be functioning properly now. He was at my home for about an hour. Also, Dave's appliance was very responsive through Angie's request for quote process. This is in contrast to a few other Angie's service providers who I never heard back from.

Everything went well. He was very efficient.

They arrived on time. Accessed problem. Repaired dryer. Wife is Happy!

Dave's returned the phone message within a half hour. Scheduled an appointment for a day and a half later. Serviceman was prompt and in a short time replaced two heating coils. Excellent service!

Dave was able to diagnose the problem immediately, and suggest a quick fix. It was so easy and quick that he said he felt bad charging me the trip fee, but offered to give me another call back within 30 days for no additional charge. He was very personable, and easy to talk to.

Very well. Arrived during the scheduled time. Didn't have the part I needed but went to to get the part and was back within the hour.

These people were professional, prompt and honest. Saved us a lot of money. Quick turnaround. Very happy!

As you can see, it didn't end to our satisfaction. We don't think the problem as been corrected. We paid the money for his time to come and look at it and offer an opinion.

The part itself was expensive, but the labor was very reasonable, and the repair was completed within 3 days of the service request.
