Description of Work: We had a built in GE zero depth custom cabinetry finish refrigerator. It only about 4 years old, but the compressor went on it. Kids left the door open on a number of occasions and it just got stressed and broke. The compressor was very very expensive. We called around and found out that very few appliance repairmen will deal with GE fridges. So... we were fortunate to find Dave. We did have to wait a bit for service and then wait again for the part to come in, so we were without our fridge for 3 weeks or more. Still, we were grateful for the service. It would have been a major problem to change out the custom fridge. We also had our ice machine replaced and I do not like the new ice maker at all. It creates very light, wimpy and sometimes hollow ice cubes.

Description of Work: Fixed water dispenser in door of refrigerator

Description of Work: Replaced a thermal switch. He had the part on hand and was able to fix my drying in about an hour.

Description of Work: We had a leak on our LG dishwasher in April. Called Dave's appliance service. They came promptly per the appointment time and the technician thought he had fixed the problem. Few weeks later, the machine started leaking again and we called Dave's appliance service and again the technician came out promptly per the appointment time. This time the technician said he would have to order a part and someone would call me when the part is in. I waited for 2 weeks for a call then followed up. They said that the part had not come in yet. I called again 2 weeks later ...same story. In mid-june, I stopped calling...its now August. I am pretty sure they forgot or decided they don't want to fix it. I did some research on the internet and found some pointers on how to fix the problem and fixed it myself.

Description of Work: Replaced a part in the clothes dryer. I have nothing to compare it to, but the cost seemed high in spite of having a Groupon.

Description of Work: Would not go into spin cycle. Tested electronics and found no problem. Cause was a coin in pump which jammed impeller. Very friendly and professional.
