Description of Work: Air Conditioner Check-up was purchased with a plan last fall, when they completed a Furnace Check-up. The service agent called 30 min prior to arrival and arrived a few minutes early. He was professional, informative and completed all work within 90 minutes.

Description of Work: The installer got to my house and informed me that the advertised humidifier would not work with my furnace. The correct unit would cost nearly twice as much as advertised. The company agreed to take $50 off the price or cancel the installation but I'd have to wait to get my refund from Angie's list.

Description of Work: They installed a central air conditioner in a 150 year old house that had never had one before. The work was done in a timely fashion and with expert care.

Description of Work: They put in a new April Air Humidifier in my home. Forgot to leave instruction booklet and didn't explain how it works.

Description of Work: Contracted with them to install a Aprilaire 700A power humidifier. For the original installation, the unit was installed on the return side instead of the supply side. The young installer expressed concerns about hitting the A-frame in my supply duct for the central air conditioner. He said it is okay to install on the return side if the water line is off a hot water line instead of cold. I told him I had a tankless water heater which will not provide the hot water needed. He did not know what a tankless water heater was. I had concerns but thought maybe this high capacity unit would still work. | |After experiencing a much lower than expected humidity level, I called them mid-March and expressed my concerns. Their sr. tech came out the next day, inspected the installation, and agreed that the unit should be re-installed on the supply side. He completed the work in a couple hours. He was very professional, as were the folks who handled my phone call. He apologized for the errors with the original install and I thanked him for his honesty, professionalism and speedy service.

Description of Work: Capital Heating installed an Aprilaire humidifier on on furnace and everything went fantastic. They were very punctual, cordial, professional and fast. They followed up to make sure everything went well and was working properly. It went so well we are also having them clean our ductwork. A really great job!

Description of Work: Capital staff were prompt, respectful and very knowledgeable. They installed a new furnace and a/c. Because of the setup of our basement, it was very challenging. They had to fabricate, not just remove and replace. They met the challenge head-on and did so with a positive attitude. They stayed at it until the job was done! They cleaned up nicely before they left even though I told them they didn't have to. I would definitely recommend them!

Description of Work: The technician was very professional and respectfull of our home, he was very curteous and answered all my questions, he showed the before and after pictures of the ducts and all the areas he interacted with, I would recommend Capital heating and air conditioning to any interested parties.

Description of Work: They were very accommodating when setting up the service call. The technician was great -- friendly and helpful. However, due to the tight space around the furnace, he was unable to install the humidifyer.

Description of Work: I bought a furnace and A/C tune-up package with maintenance for two units ($198 total). Everything seemed to go well with furnace tune-up except one of the furnaces went out within a week or two of being service. I called Capital Heating and they came in the next day. Turned out to be the igniter which their other sevice tech tested and said was good. This tech didn't have the exact part so he rigged one up to get it working. I called a few days later to schedule a follow up and have the correct igniter installed. The owner or manager apologized for the experiences and sent the tech back the next day to install the correct igniter at no extra charge, which was fair considering I paid $246 and change to have the rigged igniter installed. I essentially paid for the time it took the tech to figure out a work-around and test it by trial and error. At the end of the day, Capital Heating made things right, but it took 2 extra visits after the tune-ups. I think the A/C service went well.
