Very professional I would use them in the future,But decided not to do project at this time.

Workmanship was very good. He also explained things in detail and helped us understand what outside maintenance should happen around the house. We were in a time crunch for our home closing and Randy did what he could and made sure we made the timeline, he was very helpful.

It never happened.

I had A Grade Above back in the summer after my home purchase, and he actually recommended holding off on the work. He was fair and honest, and recommended new gutters for a year to see how that helped w/ keeping water out. I purchased new gutters for $900 instead of doing his estimated $4000 of ground work. Turns out he was right, and I didn't need the grading, but just new gutters. His fair and honest approach saved me $4000 even though it cost him business. If I do have issues, I will definitely use them.

Randy was GREAT! He even did the work early then expected. He left the property clean with no mess. He even replaced the rain drain for no extra cost. Highly recommend them.

Randy is professional, courteous, and does excellent work. The work was done quickly and efficiently. No muss, no fuss. We were extremely pleased with the results. I would use his services again and I have already recommended him to other people.

Randy was hired to grade the front lawn after a large tree was removed and a previous contractor basically left me a mud pit after attempting to grade it. Randy arrived as scheduled (even early) on the day we agreed. He did a fantastic job. The yard looks wonderful. Very nice and proficient. I will surely be using his services for other projects we have planned.

We could not have been more pleased with this project. Randy was on time for our initial appointment, was very knowledgeable and gave us a prompt and accurate estimate. His price was lower than two other estimates we obtained and he was willing to include the removal of the block patio and stone garden which other companies were not willing to do. They showed up on time for the actual work and completed the project in a very efficient manner. We were kept informed throughout the process. We were very impressed with their commitment to customer service and quality work.

Randy was prompt returning our phone call and met us within a week for an inspection. He was on time for the appointment. We had used Randy for a foundation/water problem in my own basement and had been very impressed with his knowlege, service and outcome of the project. He completed the project in a timely fashion. We were pleased with the work and service.

Randy was recommended by an independent foundation consultant that I had out to look at my basement because of water infiltration. The first step was to see if the problem could be resolved through landscaping. Because the problem was quite severe, I wanted to explore the least costly option. Randy has a lot of experience and stands behind his work. He came out in the summer of 2009 and back again in 2010 to tweak his work. My property is a little less than 1/2 acre with properties on 2 sides at higher elevations. Needless to say, with some of the huge rainstorms we've had that presents a problem. Randy used his equipment to install swales to divert water downhill between my house and my neighbors and away from my foundation. I am happy to report that my problem is now very minor compared to what it was 2 years ago. The swales handled a 3.5" rain beautifully. You can't stop gutters from overflowing next to the house, but diverting whatever rainfall, by whatever means (in my case swales) has helped a lot. The swales are so shallow that once the grass grows back, you barely notice they are there at all.

Made two phone calls spaced by roughly 4 or 5 days...neither was returned.

Randy was recommended by our Realtor after we had some water in our basement that was most likely the result of poor grading. Initially I called him and didn't hear back from him for a while. He did call back after a few days and said that he had been on vacation. Because of the flooding, he said that he was being inundated with requests, but he was able to come out and look at our yard soon after I talked to him. Because he was so busy, he didn't take any notes and because of that we had some problems getting our estimate because the address was incorrect and we were having a hard time getting in touch with one another by phone. After a number of tries to mail it to us, he hand delivered the estimate to our home. Once we finally received and agreed to the estimate he came out and did the work very well. In one area, he buried some landscaping rock. He called a couple days after the work to check on how we liked it and I told him that my understanding was that he was going to remove it. He came out and removed it all and regraded that area on the next business day. Overall I was very happy with the work, and I attribute the communication problems partially to me and mostly to the amount of work that he was doing due to the flooding.

I've used A Grade Above before at my former residence, as he was recommended by my foundation inspector. At that time (spring 2007), I found Randy to be responsive, reliable and quite professional, and I was very satisfied with the quality of work he did. Naturally, I called him again to do work at our new house. I spoke to him in early August as he was en route to a job, and he asked me to call him back and leave a message about the job, and he said he would call me back. He didn't, but I attributed that to the possibility of my being unclear in my message about when I would be around. I emailed him 10 days later, and got no response. I called again yesterday, and spoke to him about what we needed to have done. He made an appointment to be at my house between 7:45 and 8:00 AM today since he had a job nearby. I left a message for him when, at 8:45 AM, I hadn't heard anything from him about where he was, or why he was late. I need to get to the office too! In our conversation yesterday, he explained that he had had a garage fire, and restoring order after such an event can be profoundly time consuming. I understand that. However, I would rather just be told that I just can't be fit into the schedule for whatever reason than to be strung along. Randy is a good guy who can do good work, but he needs to be far more clear with his customers about what his limitations are. I hope that this is just a phase and that he's up and operating like he was again soon. I'd like to use his services again, but only if I can rely on him to show up and respond.

Randy returned my 1st call, which I had to call back (phone tag). I got a hold of Randy on a Saturday in April, talked with him for 1/2 hour. I had expected that he would come out the following week, but he never came out or called again.

He came over the same day I called to get an estimate, checked everything out, then submitted his written estimate within two days --and I live out of town. Then we talked on the phone. He provided all the work I asked him to do and did an extremely careful and professional job. I feel very confident about the quality of the work he performed. After he was done we looked at everything that was completed and it was perfect. He was extremely capable, prompt and professional. I would certainly hire him again and recommend him to others.

I had one other estimate that was very high. This company was very efficient. He had all of the ground with him when he came. He raised the gutters. He did a nice job. He was very neat. He swept up the whole driveway and my neighbors too.

Randy is an extremely nice guy. He is very knowledgeable and courteous. He is busy and it was a little challenging to nail him down for a specific day to do the work. However, once completed the work was done exactly as I expected. He gave me a deal on the price since I was patient in waiting for his services. I would recommend him and definitely use him again.

I called for a residential grading estimate and was never called back. Poor professionalism!

Randy was polite and easily accessible. He was definitely knowledgeable regarding grading issues. We experienced delays in getting the work set up due to weather, but Randy came on the first day possible. He was a very cost effective solution to our problem. We have had questions since the work was done, and Randy was very helpful in answering them even after receiving payment.

Randy responsed quickly to initial phone call. Then he came out to view the house and give estimate. He pointed out how he would have to remove part of a fence and would damage landscaping and plants to bring in the heavy equipment he uses. He said he could not do the job without using the big machines. He said he would work up an estimate and give me a call, but I never heard from him again. He did seem knowledgeable about grading, but has a set way to do the work that does not meet the needs in my established yard.
