Sure-Dry Basement Systems

Everything has been great and there has been no flooding. We have gone through a couple of springs and larger storms in the summer and there is no water in our basement whatsoever. Their price was reasonable compared to everybody else.

Basement Systems, Inc. provides a wide range of waterproofing solutions that they offer through a network of local dealers. Sure-Dry is the local dealer for the Wausau, WI area. Sure-Dry responded promptly with their sales call and provided an initial estimated in early November, 2014 but couldn't schedule the work until the middle of January due to their backlog of work. The sump pit, pumps (primary, secondary and battery backup) and alarms (Triple Safe Sump Pump System) were installed as promised and a technical rep. stopped by the following week to check out the system. With the January freeze, water flow is very low and the system is not active, so we had to pour water into the pit to check out the floats and pumps. Sure-Dry is scheduled to return in the Spring after "the thaw" to bury the discharge lines and install their IceGuard System. I will post an update here and will have more performance experience with the thaw.

I can't say enough good things about this service. I have a 3000 square foot basement with dampness showing on 2 off the walls. I was extremely pessimistic that I would be in for very pricey repairs to solve the problem. Vince came out to look at the basement, spent over an hour with me, and offered me free, yes free, advice to attempt to resolve my problem first. He never tried to push his product on me and was very honest from the beginning. I expected to be pitched some costly repairs but that was not the case. He suggested the I try to direct the rain water away from the house and wait for the winter thaw to see if I still had the problem. He even offered to come back to check on the basement. I seems so hard to find an honest business these days, but rest assured that Vince and his company are as honest as the day is long. If I am ever in need of the services they offer, they will be my first and only call. Thanks Vince!

Jose and Eddie were the onsite crew. They shoveled our walkway prior to entering. Laid down carpet all the way to the basement t avoid getting our carpet soiled. They introduced themselves were very polite. They cleaned up their mess when they were done. Great employees!

Crew arrived very congenial and outgoing.Explained in detail what would be done and what to expect.Once the work began the crew asked us to come see what they were doing and wanted to know if everything was satisfactory so far.The job took 2 days and when done the crew gave a detailed rundown of the job and made sure we were satisfied with the work and cleanup of the job site.So far we are very happy with the job.Our basement no longer has a water problem.

The area sales manager responded to our inquiry of the internet. We set a date and he was prompt, courteous and thorough. We received an estimate for the work on the date of his visit. An installation date was set and the work crew showed up promptly per that schedule. A two person crew completed the work in 8 hours and provided a professional installation. They were sure to take precautions against any excessive messiness and cleaned up after themselves. They walked us through the system and operation before the conclusion of work. Had a few follow up questions and concerns that were addressed promptly and satisfactorily by the sales manager.

We have a home in Northern Wisconsin with a crawl space. The water table is very high so the crawl space was always damp. We were starting to get some mold so we needed to find a remedy for the damp space. We called many dealers and Suredry was one of the only companies that was willing to come up and see our crawl space. Vince called back right away to set up an appt. to come see it and give us an estimate. He was able to make the 4 hour trip to our place within a week. He was right on time, was very professional, knowledgeable, and gave us all the options that were available. We told him what we wanted done and he wrote the estimate up on the spot. He called the next day to set up the appt. for when the work could be done. We told him that we would also be working with a mold remediation company and could they coordinate the project with them. He was more than happy to do that. They came out and did the work right on time, finished on time and did a wonderful job. Vince followed up to make sure we were happy, which we are. We would highly recommend Suredry and would definetly use them again..

My experience with Scott, the system design specialist, was great. He was very thorough, made sure I understood what my waterproofing options were, made suggestions based on my needs and budget and made sure all my questions were answered. He was even willing to negotiate the price somewhat at my request. The work crew showed up early the day the work was scheduled to be done. It was a bit daunting as I watched them drag in their concrete jackhammers, masks, etc. I was also a bit uneasy upon discovering that the foreman spoke very broken English while the rest of the crew spoke none. I needed to confirm a few details with the foremen and managed to get my point across. At that point, the noise began and I headed off to work. I stopped back in the early afternoon, about 1/2 hour before the job was complete, to make the final payment. The crew was finishing up with the cementing and starting to clean up at that point. I was also expecting the foreman to offer to show me how to flush the system and how to monitor the sump pump. I'm quite certain he would not have done so had I not asked. When I returned to the house later on that afternoon, the crew was gone and I proceeded to inspect the work in the basement. Some of the cement finishing was a bit crude in some spots. There was minor damage done to a corner of the drywall (however, I was pre-informed that might happen). But over all, it seemed as though the job came just fine.
