Merry Maids of Menasha

We were Very disappointed! A person came to our home for an initial appointment and to see the home and what we were looking to have done. We were told no problem, that our home would be cleaned and she determined apparently that it would only take 3 hours. (We were not aware there was a time limit assigned. We thought the person coming to clean would be coming and doing the job until it was completed.) When that person arrived for our scheduled initial appointment, she started in cleaning. After a couple hours, she said that she only had "X" amount of time left and what else would we like her to do before she leaves, as it is not going to be enough time to do everything. I directed her to the guest bathroom. After she left, we looked around and found that the rooms she had completed were Far from "Cleaned". We needed a good thorough cleaning as we are located near construction and even with the windows kept closed, the house was unmanageable for us and it needed a deep cleaning. Even normal things like dusting the edges and small overhangs of the dressers were missed. Baseboards were not wiped down, etc. Much was missed! We were Very disappointed. When they called back they next day to see how things were and when we would like to start our regular weekly or bi weekly appointments, we let them know of these things and not even a discount for the poor job that was done was offered. I don't know if we did not make ourselves clear as to what we were looking for or if this is just how they operate, but it was Very disheartening! There was even a small knick knack missing from a shelf (later found down on the floor behind a statue) and nothing was ever mentioned by the cleaner that she had dropped something and couldn't find it. It was a very unprofessional, incomplete job.

The maid was efficient and performed the work required. She did miss the tops of the cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms - All else was performed to expectations. No deduction on security deposit. Quote was estimated at $400 and was based on assumption of work to be done. We had completed a thorough cleaning prior to them coming over - so only 2 hours of work was needed and we were only charged as such.

They do an excellent job. They ask you what your needs are and bill you accordingly.

Ken, the owner, called me today to ask if nobody came. It seems ridiculous, he should have known that they did not show up. The only time this company has done good work, was when they were training a new girl on the proper way to clean a house. Other than that time, they have never lived up to expectations.
