Sunset Ridge Exteriors

Bret Rhodes performance was stellar during final task cleanup and closeout of our window replacement job and for the entire siding replacement job. He handled all issues in the field in an excellent fashion, from organizational and weather challenges to answering our questions regarding materials, workmanship and timing of the job tasks.

Do not use Sunset Ridge Exteriors! Initially I was happy with my roof/installation etc. but fast forward six years and I have water coming in the house. At first I thought it was a separation in the flash and after an argument with Mike, the OWNER on whether it was the original flash (despite being in the contract it was to be replaced) their sales person begrudgingly came out to check. Without even looking in the gutter, I was told my gutter was full of leaves (I have gutter guards) and that was probably causing water to come in the house and caused the exterior and interior damage. When I checked the area/gutter I pulled out a substantial roll of roofing nails from the gutter which blocked the flow of leaves and water, causing the back up. Once the nails were removed water flowed freely. I went back to Sunset Ridge Exteriors with what I found, Mike the OWNER denied the nails are theirs and went so far as to suggest i placed them in the gutter myself. All I’ve asked Sunset Ridge Exteriors for thus far, is to come back and check the area again and rest of my gutters to make sure there aren’t more of their nails in them, but Sunset Ridge Exteriors won’t even commit to that. Sunset Ridge Exteriors has chosen blame me, and not assume any responsibility for correction. I think it’s safe to say I won’t hear from Sunset Ridge Exteriors any longer as I’ve received an email to direct all future correspondence to his attorney. Sunset Ridge Exteriors was quick to cash my check but when you need them they are incredibly dismissive, have no sense of urgency. extremely accusatory and argumentative. The employees will tell you i am not the first to say this as well. So much for that warranty! Unless you want your gutter clogged with rusty roofing nails, and zero ownership for their mistake I would NEVER recommend Sunset Ridge Exteriors

Took forever to back to us about giving us an estimate

Went very well, they were willing to take on a $350-$700 repair. (job was "too small" to be profitable for some other companies, which I understand). Work was completed within 10 days of my initial call, within 4 days of the estimate appointment.

This is the second major home improvement project I have had done with Sunset Ridge Exteriors. Original work was window replacement, which was done professionally and timely. After the experience I had with another window/door contractor, Sunset Ridge was a breath of fresh air. I was impressed enough to call no other contractors when i needed my Siding and Roofing redone. Roofing was a necessity, Siding just needed to be done to match the timing. I chose a high quality Black shingle and a High quality insulated vinyl siding in blue. The prices were a bit higher, but they came with lifetime warranties, which made it worth the tag for me. The installation of the roof took one day. I have a smaller house, but regardless of that fact, they replaced actual boards in the roof that were too worn to keep, and fully shingled the roof in less than a business day. They were flying. The siding took longer as you would expect, but was done with such a professional level of attention to detail (framing hose bibs, color matched caulk, framing power boxes), I have been floored each time I walk around the house. They worked with me to coordinate a smooth installation, alongside my solar panel contractor, so the gutters wouldn't go on until the solar panels were up, avoiding damage or superficial marks. Everyone listens, provides options, and communicates well when something needs to be changed/moved from the original plan. Mike is my kind of salesman, Matt is a wizard, the crews that changed my house were masters of their craft, and of course, Fran is an absolute delight each time you get her on the phone. All of their support staff are great, but Fran takes the cake. She's a hoot. I'll be seeing these folks again next year when I replace my door. No one else will even get a call.

Everything went fine. Roof looks great, but after they left our outside light wasn't working. No big deal, but also our microwave wasn't working. Sounds like something is stuck in vent. When I called Sunset he said it's not their fault they did nothing wrong, the vent has nothing to do with the microwave. Yes it does, it's a top venting microwave. I can't prove negligence, but I'm out a microwave which was new, just for a roof....

We were pleased from start to finish. They answered the phone right away when we called, and in a couple of days someone was out to do the estimate. They came back to re-measure for the window before ordering, and then there was a natural delay white the window was made to order. When the window came in they called right away to schedule installation, and went above and beyond to set the installation up for a day that worked with our schedule. We will definitely work with them again.

They were very professional and promptly installed the cupola after we purchased it. The installers were great. They clearly knew what needed to be done. We would not hesitate to have the company do additional work for us.

These guys are rock stars! Everyone we talked to was friendly and helpful. There was a lot of rain in the area on August 20, 2018, and while many places and homes were dealing with flooding and basement issues, we woke up the next morning to find water leaking from the ceiling into the laundry room. I called Sunset Ridge on Tuesday, August 21st to inquire about options, and on Friday, August 24th, they had someone there to inspect our home. We received a pricing quote on Monday, August 27th, signed an agreement on Friday, August 31st, and they had a crew to start work on Monday, September 10th. Work was completed on Friday, September 14th. It was an incredibly quick process, and now we have a beautiful new roof before winter comes. Setting up financing was easy through Sunset Ridge and their banking.

I had a rotting outer beam under my entire deck and a wobbly rail post. The guys replaced the rotting beam in no time and made it look so easy. The whole project was much more reasonably priced than I would have expected.

Project was well done, people managing the job were great to work with, responsive when we had a question and wanted an additional adjustment made. Would recommend.

We are extremely happy with the job that Sunset Ridge Exteriors did for us. We damaged a section of siding on the back of the house. We quickly discovered that the siding on our house (original from late 80s construction) is no longer available. At this point, all the other companies that we had called simply told us that they could not help us. Sunset Ridge went out of their way to find a solution, talking to multiple suppliers and then proposing a couple different options to fix the problem. They worked hard to find a replacement siding that was a very close match in color and size. They performed the work when they said they would, and did a high quality job.

They did an amazing job from start to finish, setting clear expectations, communicating dependably, and following up with quality work exactly as promised for exactly what they said it would cost.

it went well- they called to confirm color choices, trim color choices and arrival of crews. They came back and cleaned up after the job to make sure I was satisfied.

Really well - great work, very fast and so far (it’s the roofs first winter) it looks great! We had one issue with the dumpster damaging our neighbors lawn but they used a separate company who apparently struggled due to the dumpster size and our small yard. BUT- in the end Sunset made everything right and everyone happy - including our neighbors! And everyone at Sunset was very professional, kind and responsive. They have a great selection of options and low pressure approach while answering questions easily. Would definitely recommend to others.

The actual repair went great and it looks great!

Well, we had a little delay in getting started due to weather, and the original clean up was a little dicey again, because of weather, but we couldn't be happier with the final outcome. The roofers completed the work in 4 days, in December, with snow! Sunset Exteriors was very thorough in their follow up, coming out to do a thorough clean up after the snow melted.

Timely returned phone call and helpful estimate. Workers arrived early in a.m. They got the work done before noon.

Excellent! I would highly recommend them to anyone. Mine was a small job but they did exactly what I hired them to do. Very friendly people.

I purchased the $99 Exterior Home Maintenance Package from Angie's List. The representatives sent out were courteous, on time, and did a thorough check of the roof & gutters. They explained what needed to be fixed now and what to look for in the future.

They were very through with their report including pictures. The even replaced 2 steps they deemed unsafe. Everyone I've felt with has been pleasant and great to deal with. I have hired them to rebuild my deck.
