I'll start by saying I highly recommend Gethsemane Roofing. It went exceptionally well - all the way from requesting a quote through to the last nail in the shingles and last screw for the downspout. Julio presented our options for shingles, helped with recommendations when asked, and presented a truly acceptable quote. There was no oversell at any point which was appreciated. Once we indicated were ready for the work to be done, he set a date and was there on the day to start work. Point to note - he and his team are punctual. 7:30am means he will be there at 7:30am, not minute later. Julio was present and working at all times with his team was there to support him. He was happy to explain his methods and materials used. As for a neat work area and sticking to timeline - they placed tarps all around the house while stripping the old shingles from the roof. All scrap materials were deposited in their "trash" trailer. Upon removal of the tarps they worked their way around the house with magnets to pick up any stray nails. Materials were neatly stacked at the side of our property overnight. Nothing was left lying around. By the end of day one the roof was covered and waterproof. By the end of day two, the roof was done - other than a small touchup for the next day. By the end of day three gutters were in place. Julio was accommodating and very thorough. He made sure we understood what was causing the leak and what he did to fix it. We also had concerns with maintaining the seal on a couple roof vents, so he reinforced those. He charged a fair price and we will definitely hire him again in the future.

I called on 3/8/17 he came out on 3/9/17 at the agreed time assessed the damage, qouted me the cost, I agreed, shook hands and he went to get some materials and came back and completed the job. He took some extra time and care while he was on the 2nd story roof to make sure all the edges of the rest of the shingles were sealed down, a definite sign of professionalism. I was very impressed at his work, good job. A very courteous person.

I have used Gethsamane for 3 different projects. Julio installed a new roof on our priests' house, made repairs to our church roof and made repairs to my roof and chimney. You will never find a more reasonable, qualified, punctual, skilled roofer! Simply the best! Fantastic!

We are so happy with our roof and Gethsemane Roofing. Julio was wonderful to work with. He is excellent: kind, earnest, skilled, and hardworking. I knew when he told us we didn’t have damage from the hail that he was telling the truth (even though another roofer had told us we did and he’d work with an insurance adjuster to try to get it paid for if we used him to do the job). Julio described what hail damage looks like, and said the damage on our roof was lichen damage. He took pictures of it to show me and explain, and it made sense. He’s honest. We’d been worried about the general condition of our roof for years. We’d had some leaking and some ice dams damage. He listened carefully to all my concerns. We were wondering if we should get a new roof or just have some repairs done. He inspected the attic to assess the extent of rot and mold. He presented his bid and patiently answered many questions. We found his bid to be fair and reasonable, and were impressed by his professionalism. He has a ShingleMaster certification for the CertainTeed roofing system. He gave us complete materials on the system, and we thought it looked like very high quality. He never pushed us to get a whole new roof; he was perfectly willing to make repairs if that’s what we wanted. But we decided within the day that it would basically be foolish to pass up the opportunity to have such a good roof installed by such a good company. Each time Julio came, to bring samples or talk over something, he arrived at exactly the time we’d agreed upon. Julio and his crew worked hard--they’re diligent and conscientious. They left no mess, even blew out the gutters at the end. Julio spent extra time to put in a new bathroom vent for us with an insulated duct, over and above the contract price. They replaced the tops of the waste stacks and the kitchen vent, and painted them all the same color to blend well with the roof, and they look--elegant! We had numerous rotted areas. Julio took pictures to show us the condition of the old sheathing and the progress of the roof system as they installed it. Our chimney is a wide one across the front of our house, and we’d had a poor job done on flashing by a contractor a few years ago. When Julio was done with the flashing, it looked beautiful. He did a meticulous job, it was very neat and even. The roof itself makes our house look so much better, and then I smile at his flashing every time I come in. Now we have, among all the benefits, ice dam protection and great ventilation. It is such a good feeling to know we have a solid--and also handsome--roof over our heads. We had a great experience with Julio--it was a pleasure from start to finish. On the side of his truck and his cute red dumpster, it reads, “Gethsemane Roofing, LLC, a company with integrity,” and we experienced that integrity throughout.

Julio was a pleasure to work with. He answered my call immediately, scheduled me within a couple hours, and showed up on time. He was very friendly, courteous, thorough, and honest. Turned out the leak was coming from a rotting window frame (which he discovered) and so we didn't need his services after all. He didn't charge me for his time and was more than happy to help, go through the issue, and climb his ladder to the second story to take photos for me (spending the extra time in 9 degree weather graciously). I really appreciated his kindness and will definitely be calling him if I ever need a roof repair in the future.

The roof on our home suffered hail damage. I consulted Angie’s List to find a contractor to assess the damage and after reading the reviews I contacted Julio of Gethsemane Roofing. Julio showed up within an hour of being contacted and determined that we did in fact have hail damage. Julio came back the next morning with a written proposal for replacing the roof. After the insurance adjuster confirmed Julio assessment we contracted with Julio to do the job. Julio said he could start in two weeks. Two weeks later Julio and his crew showed up at 7:15 in the morning to start the job. Three days later the job was completed. If you are looking for a roofing contractor that does what they say they will do, shows up when they say they will and does an excellent job I would highly recommend contacting Julio of Gethsemane Roofing.

Gethsemane Roofing recently did a fantastic job replacing my roof with new shingles. Julio showed up to multiple appointments on-time to bid the project and returned a week later to discuss options. He is very patient and answered all my questions. Julio was able to address my situation and recommend a practical solution. One advantage of having Julio complete a roofing project, is he is out there on the roof with his team working and managing the project. It was a big advantage with communication from the original bid to final work. I added a couple of changes during the project and Julio and his team completed wth no problem. Fantastic customer service. Very honest guy, who is very serious about doing a good job. Answered all my phone calls and text messages. Julio responded promptly to my inquiry and had an estimate ready in a few days. There was more work than estimated because the rafters were rotted and had to be replaced, so they came back on Sunday to finish up. Julio was always prompt, or called if he was going to be delayed, and explained everything he was going to do. They left the site clean, with no nails or shingles lying around. Overall, a good experience.

Julio, company owner, replaced our rubber roof over the porch and made needed repairs to the ceiling and fascia. He also replaced the flashing for the chimney. We are very happy with the results. He went the extra mile on every aspect of the job. And the quality of his work gave us the confidence that we had hired the right company. We didn't have a referral for this work, and the information provided about Gethsemane Roofing on Angie's List and on the company website said they conduct business with honesty and integrity, which was exactly our experience with them. Also Julio was great to work with. He answered all my questions and was very patient in that aspect, and if he was running behind schedule on another project, he called and emailed to keep us in the loop. We were very pleased with Julio and his crew! He responded promptly to my initial phone call, was punctual, and completed the work in a professional manner with particular attention to details that were overlooked by our previous contractor. We appreciated the fact that there was no loud music playing as they worked. The work was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. We would definitely hire Gethsemane Roofing again!

It went very well. Julio was very responsive and professional. He gave us quotes for repair of the roof as well as for a whole new roof. We decided to go with replacing the roof, and Julio brought samples and set up a date for the job. He and his team worked very hard and removed all the old shingles, and applied OSB sheathing to provide a proper base for the new shingles. They installed Epilay synthetic Felt, two 4" galvanized soil pipe, new roof vents, Certainteed shadow ridge cap and replaced all flashing around the chimney. They made sure they protected the deck, patio and grounds below beforehand and cleaned everything up very carefully afterward.

Julio came out the next day after being contacted and inspected the roof and effort that would be needed. It was clear that there was considerable rot. He made his best estimate based on what could be seen. It turned out far more extensive than expected. Julio and his crew worked late into the night replacing wet insulation, plywood base, shingles, and skylight flashing. He was able to schedule it in less that 10 days. These guys were fantastic. So hard working. So knowledgeable about what had happened and how to fix it properly. So prompt. They were willing to work late into the evening since the tear-off was already done (and I'm sure they had other job commitments). The cost was twice the estimate, but the effort was probably three times the original scope. I can't say enough about how professional, thorough, and efficient these guys were. I would recommend them to anyone.

Great communication! Julio and his crew arrived when they said they would, did great work, and cleaned up the site nicely. I am so happy I used Gethsemane for this project, and I will definitely call them the next time I need roofing work done on my home.

My husband works and lives 2000 miles away so I have to deal with house repairs myself and sometimes, it is a bit overwhelming and it is hard to keep up on everything. But my father-in-law did give me a list of 4 or 5 roof contractors that got great reviews on Angie's list. I called them all for estimates. Gethsemane wasn't the lowest bid but they were among the lowest. The lowest estimate proposed using some cheaper materials and taking some short-cuts that I feared would have cost me more in the long run. The owner of Gethsemane, Julio, was very kind and honest in his dealings with me. I just wanted to work with someone like him after my last roofing experience (which was a total disaster). Julio was great from the day he came to provide me with an estimate until the day he finished. Gethsemane fit me in quickly, and staff came to work every day that weather permitted (and due to rain delays they worked all weekend to finish promptly). They used high quality products and got me all fixed up. And then as icing on the cake they let me use their dumpster to get rid of some junk I've had littering my side yard and hidden under the back porch for far too long (they even helped me lift it), they also trimmed up some branches that were threatening to fall on my new roof, AND he even fixed the roof on this little gazebo I have in the yard and roofed it with tiles that matched the ones on the house roof. Why did he do all those extras for me at no extra charge? Just because he is a good person who runs a tight ship of a company. He delivered more than he promised, a rare quality these days. I am so grateful to him and his workers and very pleased with my new roof.

Julio of Gethsamane was fantastic! All appointments were punctual, and every aspect of the project was explained in detail. All options were clearly laid out. The work was done cleanly and expertly within the 2 day window, even though a storm intervened. Would be hard pressed to find a more reasonable, workmanlike, prompt, neat, hardworking company. Julio has a slight accent, but this should not deter anyone from getting a quote from him. He offers the best price and the best quality. Truly, a gem. Anyone would be foolish not to let him quote their roofing job!

Excellent. If you are looking for a roofing company, you have just found it - Gethsemane Roofing LLC of McFarland, WI. I am very meticulous, and always ask multiple questions. Julio was amazingly patient with me. He answered all of my questions as to quality of materials, protection of multiple flower gardens around the house, and cleaning the roof, gutters, and lawn when finished. He and his employees work well together, have respect for each other, and have a work ethic you rarely see these days. They were willing to work extra hours in the day to complete the job. The roof looks great. In reading the 19 other reviews, I think you can see why I am telling you that if you are looking for a roofing contractor - you have found him. Julio, the owner, was patient with us and did a very good job of explaining exactly what he what he would do with our roof. He came to the house multiple times beforehand to work through the various details and to help with the shingle color selection. He installs ridge vents, and uses a high-grade architectural shingle, synthetic deck armor, 6 feet of ice guard, and metal valley guards. He was able to schedule the work based on our availability, and was able to accommodate a radon remediation contactor that needed to move the exhaust pipe while the roof was open. Gethsemane does not require the first payment until the job starts. Even though we paid this ahead of time, the check was not deposited until the work started. When the crew came to the house, they were punctual, polite and hard-working. Julio directed the crew himself and assisted with the work. The roof was done on time with only a minor ($40) cost addition for some decking repair that could not be determined until the original shingles were removed. Julio provided pictures of the old and new decking before the shingles were replaced. In addition, they put metal cladding on the previously mentioned radon vent to make it match other vents on the roof. It looks much better than the previous bare PVC pipe. We are very happy with our roof and the service provided by Gethsemane Roofing. We would highly recommend them for anybody seeking a quality roofing contractor with integrity.

This is actually the second time we've hired Gethsemane Roofing to do work for us. We called them back because they did such a good job the first time. Both times, when Julio set up an appointment to meet us for a quote, he was on time and very professional. Also, we have an old house, and there were several difficult areas that we had no idea how to fix, and he came up with creative solutions that fixed the issues both aesthetically and functionally. He and his crew have always stuck to the timeline they laid out beforehand. They are trustworthy, easy to work with, and they do really high quality work. We would definitely hire them again!

Available for immediate quotes on both homes. Quotes were reasonable, able to take off old shingles and put on new to accommodate our time frame.
