They promptly responded and sent representative for estimate, who was courteous and prompt as well. We were then contacted to set up another appointment in our home to review the estimate. They would not provide the estimate without another meeting. The job is quite straightforward and we do not understand the need for another time consuming meeting, so we will use another contractor.

The only positive interaction during this remodel was with the installers. They were great! Our experience started with the in home sales person. He was unprofessional and went thru the tablet presentation "because I have to". He was no help with suggestions or options. When we asked if the tub surround was one piece like the display he said yes, they are custom made in IL. You never have to worry about mold in the corners. Not true. When we decided what we wanted he scribbled some numbers in a notebook and gave us a price and 3 payment options. No breakdown of what the costs were. That should of raised a red flag but Ganser has a good reputation so we went with it. During the install we noticed that we did not get the rain shower head we wanted. Turned out the salesman did not put it on the order. He brought one to the installers that we think he actually purchased himself. We found out later it was not a model they carry. The shower head was much larger than their model and did not work well at all. Work was done on 3/24/16, took a day and a half as promised. After they left we noticed a scratch on the glass door. We called the installer and he was nice enough to come back and check it out. We called the next day to report the scratch. We did not hear anything back until April 5. We were told to send a pic of the scratch. We were told they would call us back but never did. We called them back on 4/13 to follow up. We were told it was ordered. We heard nothing and we called back May 2nd. Were told it just came in today and we would get a call the next day to schedule. We did not get that call until May 11th. The new glass was installed May 12. They also changed out the rain shower head. We then received an email to review our experience. You can't leave negative reviews, you are given a number to call. The email implies you are calling the owner, Travis Ganser. I called that number and left a voicemail on 5/24 and have not heard back yet. To summarize we worked with an unprofessional sales rep who misrepresented the products. Follow up was non existent all the way up to the owner. We had to initiate all the follow up calls. You would think $8500 would deserve better treatment.

We were thrilled with the results. The patio door and windows are beautiful and high-quality. The Ganser team was very knowledgeable, professional, and dependable. We knew exactly how much everything would cost and when it would be completed. The process was very smooth and we will definitely be using Ganser in the future for other large home improvement projects.

Hard workers - didn't waste any time. Courteous Kept worksite clean Timely and honest with how long they expected the job to take. The office kept us updated on when the job would begin. Easy to talk to and answered any question we posed in a manner that we understood. Cleaned up sidewalk with citrus cleaner Professional. Sales wasn't pushy - very informative and let you make your own decision. Didn't replace anything that didn't need to be.

We decided to replace a second door in our house after the first installation went so well. Very pleased with the service from Ganser Co. Will not hesitate to have them do more work for us in the future.

It went extremely well. Ganser took a small piece of wood from my old windows and custom matched the stain so that the frames on the new Windows look just like the old windows. The installers showed up when promised, and completed the installation in one day. The workers were very respectful of my home, and completely cleaned up at the end of the job, so that you could not tell that any work had been done. I had expected that I want led have to do at least some cleanup, but I didn't have to do a thing! They even swept my driveway. Th windows are wonderful; I no longer have drafts, and I anticipate lower heating bills this winter.

After the initial contact with the Ganser foreman in August, I didn't get any response on when the project would begin. ?I contacted Ganser a few times to find out when they would be starting the project without getting any response. ?I would have appreciated it if they would have given me some feedback. ?My experience with the remodeling was a nightmare. ?The company who was to do the kitchen was from Green Bay. ?I was told they would come down, remove the countertops. take measurements and set the countertop back on my cupboards. ?They removed all the countertops, sink, garbage disposal and faucets leaving me with no work space and no way to do my dishes since I couldn't use my dishwasher. ?It took them a week to come down to put things back. ?They messed up the countertops, had to come back and take them out and do them over. ?This took another week. ?When they came back the second time, they hadn't measured correctly and had to go back and redo them again. ?They also did my bathroom counter and had to redo that also. ?It took them 3 times to put everything together. ?The only saving grace was Greg from The Ganser Company. ?He was always on time, was very professional and did a wonderful job on the installation work he perform. ?I would certainly have him do additional work for me.

The salesman was knowledgeable and informative. The workers were on time and performed the work in just one day. The garage door was installed nicely and there was no mess!

They exceeded our expectations, from the salesman to the installers to the quality of product. I would gladly refer Ganzer and would use them again.

Because the area of our house to be repaired was small, remote and quite high, several other contractors and handymen declined to take on the project. Immediately after we contacted Ganser, a company representative, Kurt Hodgson, contacted us and made an appointment to look at the project. He arrived at the designated time and provided a timely estimate. We accepted the estimated with the provision with the understanding the the work would not be started until after August 15. Shortly after the 15th, Mr. Hodgson called to set a time for the work to begin. It began in less than a week. Two workmen arrived early on the appointment day and completed the work in about six hours. Unfortunately, they left without notifying us so we did not see the completed work until later that evening. We were not pleased with the work. We contacted Mr. Hodgson the next day and told him the work was not acceptable, He came to our house within a few days and agree with us. He immediately arranged to have the work repaired, which we now find acceptable. Although we are disappointed that the work was not preformed correctly, we are please with the follow-up that Mr. Hodgson provided.

I have used Ganser multiple times and will use them again. Last work done was covered by warranty. The workers arrive on time and complete the tasks needed.

The salesman, Kurt, was very helpful and friendly. Greg did a great job installing the door. I feel he spent extra time installing the door to make sure it was done to perfection. I appreciate that kind of care. I would recommend Ganser to anyone.

Marvelous! The rich additions to both the garage and house is a plus!

When we contacted the Ganser Co, we received an almost immediate call back to set up and appointment which followed shortly after the call. The salesman was friendly, thorough and knowledgeable and answered all of our many concerns and questions. A quote was provided right at the site and we signed a contract and provided a down payment for the work. We had also contacted another well known company for the same service and had to call back twice before giving up on them and deciding to go with Ganser as reliability, promptness and service are important to us. All of our questions were answered and accommodations that we needed were put into the contract. Three days after the contract was signed, someone came out to measure and within three weeks (it was supposed to be more like six) they came to install the windows. The installation went quickly and efficiently and the company readily agreed to return in the fall when the AC preventing one window from receiving the storm/screen would be removed - something which went beyond what they agreed to.

I had 4 companies quote on the work. Ganser was MORE THAN DOUBLE the second most expensive quote. The sales representative took a brief look in my attic to quote on mold remediation and work to improve ventilation and insulation. He immediately said "OH MAN, YOU NEED A WHOLE NEW ROOF." Yes, I'm using capitalization because that is how emphatic he was. This was all prior to even assessing the roof from the exterior of the home. I had already had 2 other companies quote on the same work, and both commented on the status of the roof being fine. Sales rep went on to say "I bet if a strong wind came along, this roof would blow right off." Next the rep used a ladder to a**** the roof from the outside of the house. After doing that, he said the roof was probably fine. I have a small attic space that adjoins to a larger room with vaulted ceilings. I emphasized that the work I wanted done was in the attic space. The rep came back with a quote that included both the attic and the vaulted ceiling. He did not listen to me to understand my needs, nor did he prepare a quote that was in line with the work that I wanted to be performed. I'm not sure what his agenda was, but the experience with the sales rep was a complete joke. When I saw the price quoted by the rep, I honestly thought he was joking and was going to say, "Just kidding, here is the actual price to do the work." He did not. After further discussion, a 2nd rep got involved and quoted on the work that I truly wanted done. This quote was still more than twice the price of the next most expensive contractor.

I had some windows that needed replacing so I made the mistake of calling Ganser, thinking they would actually provide a quick and friendly quote. I had to schedule around time I don't have for a young man to come out and measure my windows, only to have him ask me repeatedly about my wife and where she was. I'm not kidding. I asked several times for a quote, but he just talked about how complicated something like that could be. If I owned a company that sold windows, I would figure out a way to do the 6th grade math involved, but that's me. After he left, I called Ganser and spoke with, don't quote me (hey, they never quoted me anything -- fair is fair), Craig, about this bizarre experience. As I further slid into a psychological thriller from the LifeTime channel, he affirmed that yes, a meeting with my wife was in order before I was allowed the privilege of a quote (to give them my money). He told me to call their competitors and they would also ask about my wife. So I did: I called KoolView and Sunset Ridge Exteriors, both of whom just came out and gave me a quote for windows on the spot, as outlandish as that might seem. Neither asked about my wife other than in passing pleasant conversation. I had KoolView install my windows and am very happy now. I think Sunset Ridge would also do a good job. By the way, if somebody from Ganser should read this: she's actually my fiancee' and we're still on track to get married this summer, without your "help".

Everything went very well. They always do a good job. I have a problems and in past they've always helped out. I would highly recommend them.

We are impressed with the Marvin Everwood fiberglass product line and appreciated the time Marc spent with us explaining it to us in the showroom. He was helpful making suggestions to keep costs lower and researched a few add-ons we were wondering about. Although the price is high, we do feel we have a fantastic product. Jim came to our house for final measurements, helped us pick a stain, and helped me with a change order. At the time we signed the contract in April, we were told it would probably be late-May/early-June for our install. Didn't hear anything for a while, but when prompted I was told they were behind and it would be late July/early August because of weather and staffing issues. In early August, and after twice initiating contact and being told he'd check into it, we had to email a third time to get a response on a timeline. They said they are finishing up four large remodeling projects and are not able to give us a better idea of time yet. After another phone call and email, a tentative date was set in late September. After not getting any confirmation, we called about a week out to verify if our date was finalized. We were told we'd hear something by Friday. We never did get any final confirmation, but at 7:50am on Monday, the crew rang the doorbell. The crew was phenomenal. Friendly, professional, hard working, polite...we can't say enough good stuff about them. Our windows look great and the new trim is meticulous. Couldn't even tell there had been work done in the house as they cleaned up behind themselves. Bottom-line: great product, high-quality work with insufficient communication in-between the contract and installation.

Ganser came in and replaced the windows in 1 day. A long day, but they stayed until all work was completed. They were very thorough, competent, and clean. They matched all siding, exterior brick ledge, interior trim perfectly. Our major concern was matching our interior oak trim that is stained a dark color. But they did it perfectly. The crew was outstanding. When they left, except for the new windows, you could not even tell that they were there. We have another floor of windows to replace next year, and we will definitely be calling Ganser.

Ordered two basement windows in March and were told that they would take a couple months. I can't comment on price, did not get other estimates. Initial meeting was prompt and professional. After 2 months checked on windows and were told that they had been sent somewhere for latches. We are now at 5 months out. I have called with increasing frequency over the last three months to ask where our windows are. Other than receptionist who says she will relay message, we have not received any return calls over last 3 months to let us know status. Will be trying to get our $1000 (50%) down payment returned although I don't have high hopes for that.

Update Oct 27, 2014: I have now had several window casing fall apart after I dropped the windows down for cleaning because of a manufacturer defect of some kind; Ganser has scheduled and rescheduled my appointment to get these fixed four times. Today I was supposed to meet with my rep to go over the issues at 5PM and I was called and told someone was coming out to the house, now, and I am at work. I have spoke to 4 people at Ganser about this and not one of them seems to have all the facts about the problem and they say " I was not aware of that", or "no one told me". This has been going on for two months. I WILL be contacting Marvin if the problems are not fixed as they should be. As of Nov 3, they have finally come to the house and fixed he problems in a professional manner.u Below is before I started finding problems with the windows: After I got several estimates and reviewed all the windows in various showrooms, I had no doubt that Gasser's Infinity fiberglass windows were the best quality and value. I was told up front that it would be about 6-8 weeks before the windows could be installed based on the time it takes to custom build the windows to getting the work scheduled. They (Ganser Co), came out to measure everything, twice, and discussed. Stain options. I asked that they keep the original stain and aesthetics of the windows and they asked for a sample piece to take with them to help match stain. I had some unused trim to give them as a guide. Six weeks later, they gave me dates they would be out - about two weeks - and discussed how the process would work. They were very thorough. I was lucky enough to have someone at the house when the windows were being installed, so I didn't have to leave work. I came home the first day and they had 1/2 the windows in and they looked fantastic! They matched the stain almost perfectly and the windows were just beautiful and easy to work. The second day I came home, they had all but one window completely installed because the remaining window was the bathroom and it was a full replacement that required ceramic tile work/replacement. Day three, everything was complete. The was no mess, dust or anything out of place. In fact, I think the house was cleaner than when they began... The installers were very professional and courteous. It was a father and son team and they had done numerous jobs for Ganser and they worked well together. These were not contracted employees, they were employees of Ganser Company. They had mentioned how they enjoyed their work and how they enjoyed working for the company. I honestly could not be happier with these windows. What a difference they make in keeping the house cool and looking very clean. The lines and design is fantastic. They keep the noise from outside down to about 40% from what the original windows would have let in. These windows are so easy to work (mechanically) - so easy to clean. Besides looking nice, these windows are guaranteed for life and they never need to have any treatment, just dust when needed. No more storm windows, either. The screens are so nice, one can barely notice hey are there. Ganser came out after the install to make sure everything worked and to see if I had any questions. Again, they are very thorough. I learned a couple of things I did not know, which made me even happier with my choice and with Ganser. I would recommend Ganser to anyone and I would recommend the Marvin Infinity fiberglass window. This has been a horrible experience. We still cannot get any closure or clear communication on this job thats been going on for almost 5 months now for one patio door. March 26 - payment for 50% down March 27 - check cashed June 9 - inquire with our sales rep via email (like we had been all along) about the door because we haven't heard anything and its been a long time. no date scheduled for install yet. email unanswered. June 14 - email again. no response. June18 - call Ganser Company. No one has any clue about the door order. We paid half of it in March. Turns out sales rep left the company and no one followed up with our account. Immediate action was taken to install a patio door the following day. June 19 - door installed. It sticks and does not open easily. We document it with the installer and agree to see if it works itself out since its new and humid outside. Late June - call about door not getting better and wife and kids cannot open it or use the locks. Floor bolt pops in and out randomly sometimes. Have to use body weight to get it unstuck at times. This is not normal and does not function like the door we tried out in the Ganser showroom. Not even close. July 9 - repair man comes. He is nice and agrees the door does not work properly. July 22 - I've heard NOTHING from Ganser, again. They never call to follow up. We never had a walk through after the install to begin with but we did receive the bill for the remaining 50%. I drive down to the Ganser office to demand the work be finished up. We are worse off with this new door than with the older, cheaper door that was removed. July 23 - Door manufacturer (Marvin) suggests a "fix". We wait for scheduled repair to come out and try to loosen a screw in the jamb. This does not work. Repair man says he'll get the ball rolling on a new door frame. July 26 - I hear nothing again so I call Ganser. Front desk schedules another repair appointment for another week later! August 6 - Repair guy trys again. Still not fixed and the new door frame clearly has not been ordered. I request a new door. This situation is not right. Today is August 12 and I have not heard from Ganser on whether or not a new door has been ordered, how long it will take, and I assume I'm just put back on the list with all the other installs and orders. No priority has been made to replace this bad door and no one communicates with us. We are beyond frustrated that a simple patio door purchased on March 26 is still not right on August 12. Of all home improvement companies I've worked with, I've never had such a hard time getting work completed or communicating. Maybe Ganser just got too big and is no longer the local place in town known for quality work and customer service. I still hope Ganser finishes the job and that someone takes responsibility.

It went well. Installers were very polite, listened to any concerns I had, efficient, and knew what they were doing and did it within a reasonable time frame. Showed me what I needed to know about the windows upon completion and left me information as I might need in the future.

Very well. Prompt and friendly people, accurate estimates. Work done was up to my expectation.
