When I first came to them to use their services, I was having a hard time financially and I barely met their standards. They took a chance on me. I have been using their services for about eleven years now. I have used their services for banking, credit cards, auto loans, other loans, and also for a mortgage. Their paperwork was much more thorough and service oriented. They had everything spelled out so clearly that I didn't have to ask many questions. When I once had an issue with identity theft, they caught it, contacted me, and I received all of my money back. They were very efficient about it as well. They don't try to exploit their clients and instead, they go out of their way to serve them. I have been totally thrilled with their services.

 + -1 moreI'm pretty much using all of my services through UWCU - mortgage, auto, premium checking, savings, money market, COD, and even a safety deposit box. Each of the rates have been competitive if not the best in the state. If you are in the Madison area, there really is no better option out there if you do your homework.
Description of Work: I've been a loyal member of UW Credit Union since 1998. Throughout this time, I have been consistently impressed with their service, professionalism, and competitive rates. They have expanded their ATM locations throughout East and West Madison since I first joined, although I see fewer ATMs that allow for check deposits than before. The main two positives I have of UWCU are their rates and their customer service. I just bought my second home and the mortgage process has been very transparent and the rates are competitively lower than any of the nationwide bank chains. When I did ask for UWCU to "price match" the application fees or closing costs for each mortgage, they were happy to do so. The mortgage process went very smoothly and quickly. Yes, throughout the years I have run into overdraft fees (my fault), but they are not outrageously high.

 + -1 moreUW is very cooperative and competive. They have always had the lowest rates for the loans that I've needed to take out. I've never delt with any fees on any of the accounts. They have great customer service, are very prompt and a great online system as well. They are all around helpful.
Description of Work: I use them UW for Saving, Checking, Home Equity Line of Credit, Credit Card, Car Loan, Mortgage, and Money Market. I have been with them over 10 years.
