I would give them overall a B. They are dependable and will show up when they say. They are a little expensive.

They have taken care of this particular tree for a number of years and have done a good job of it. I give them all A's and will use them again in the future.

They are very professional. They would leave a report on how they treated your lawn, trees, and shrubs. They let you know what needed to be done to help the treatment. They would let you know when they were going to arrive, and when they were there. I would use this provider again.

The problem was my husband called a NATIONAL number for Tru Green. After that, we decided we didn't want to use them. A couple of days later the LOCAL Tru Green arrived, and spread broad leaf weed killer over areas where we had broad leaf plants growing. We did not want them killed. The coordination between the NATIONAL office, and the LOCAL office was non existent.. It looks like they are going to have to replace some plants. They are attempting to collect for the fertilizing they did, and we are not paying. We will never use them again.

The service is outstanding. They set it up and do it the way I like it. They have got reasonable rates to do it. They are on time and very dependable and competent.

We have been very pleased with them. We like that they usually leave a note after they have taken care of the yard and give us suggestions, so it helps us know what we need to be approaching.

We have had really good luck with the quality of their service, and they have a good staff. we havn't had any issues with them. we had a couple of questions last year and they came early for their end of year service and we called them up and asked them about and they came back and redid it about a month later. they did the repeat at no charge.

I recommend them. I've never had any problems with them.

I think they are a pretty popular service. They were going door to door and so I used them. They do other things but I used them only to apply herbicides and fertilizers. I had them once aerate the lawn too. They come out the day they say they are going to and they call up when they don’t. I want them to put the herbicide and not the fertilizers and that seems to be a problem for them. I would use them again depending on if they are willing to do only the herbicide and not the fertilizer.

I have a contract with them. They show up on time. I'm usually at home, so I get to talk to them. When I'm not at home, they leave a note on my door once they are done with their work. They also come back if they have not done something. I did have to call them back once and they were back the next day. I think that their prices are average, but I have not compared their price with others. I have been happy with them.

Overall, the experience has been okay. My problem with Tru Green is I feel you don't receive a full story straight up. Case in point, for weed control, TG sprays our grass, and it looks fine. However, a large portion of our property is wood chipped planted beds. Tehy don't spray the beds, and we now have lots of weeds there. Speaking with Tru Green the other day on a separate matter, I brought this up, and received an explanation of how their residential sprayers aren't licensed for this type of work, becasue it requires a different type of spray that doesn't kills flowers, etc. After the fellow droned on for a couple of minutes to my boredom and dismay, I told him to stop. I told him his group needs to uphold a professional obligation to explain everything associated with their service at the time of purchase, not four months later after a problem occurs. This porblem didn't occur with our previous lawn service provider - Barnes. As much as I hated those thieves for overbilling, billing for services not performed, and for refusing to correct bills for false charges - that's why we stopped using them - they did cover the beds adequately.

I just wouldn't ever use them again. Weed control was poor and lawn never really looked good while using their service.

I did a package with 4 treatments per annual, in addition to a spring aeration. Early on, they choose not to use a weed preventer, and I did get many (dozens if not hundreds) dandelions. However, I called them and they were out the next day an applied a treatment at no charge - effectively a free additional fertilizer - and it also wiped out the dandelions. Overall, I'm very happy with the results so far. I personally feel like they work really well to get your lawn from cruddy to great, and then maintain it yourself with basic treatments. I think the price is slightly on the higher side, but with everything included, I feel there is real value. My lawn definitely is improved!

I used service in Summer 2010 but it did not live up to my expectations in that it failed to reduce the amount of Creeping Charley weed on my lawn. That was the main reason I hired this lawn treatment service and they said they would rid the problem. In Spring 201 I received numerous phone calls from Tru Green sales people to renew the service. I declined all offers, which got progressively cheaper after each refusal. Despite my renewal refusals I received two letters from Tru Green saying my service would be restarted soon. I called after the first and said I wanted no service. After the last sales pitch, which I declined, another letter arrived last Saturday stating I would have a series of five application start soon. Before I could call today there was a service rep at my door this morning ready to do the unwanted application. Needless to say I sent him away and called the company to say I want nothing to do width them again in any way. I think is is a bad example of misrepresentation, high pressure sales and nuisance phone calls as we are on a "Do Not Call List" for phone solicitation.

We didn't have any complaints. We would probably use them again.

They are reasonably priced. They do good work and it's a good value.

I only made it to the quote phase and couldn't/wouldn't continue because I couldn't get anyone to come out and take a look at the lawn like they said they would. When you call their 800 number, you go to the national center. They take your information, but seem to pass very little of it on to the regional office in Chicago. They were supposed to call within 24 to 48 hours. They may have gotten in just under the wire or close, somewhere in the 48 to 52 hour range. The first call was to give me a price and send someone out for service. I told him I wanted to meet with someone (as previously explained to the national guy) to go over the yard. He was resistant to that and tried to get around it, but through persistence, he finally agreed. Someone locally was supposed to call me to set that up. Two days later, I got another call from the regional office in Chicago trying to send a guy out for service. I explained that I was still waiting for the local guy to contact me to discuss my yard specifically. He again didn't want me to do that, but to just take the service. I said not until I meet with someone. He told me he'd contact the local office again to have them contact me again to set something up. It's been a week since then and still nothing. So I'm moving on to others and warning the rest of you about them.

The work they did was good. But, they knew I needed between a half and a full day. After four hours, they stopped, even though I told them that it looks like only maybe another two hours. That was a Wednesday. They said they'd come back in the next couple of days, they didn't. On Friday, Scott left a voice mail saying that something came up and they'd be back early next week, probably on Monday. By the end of day on Wednesday, I have given up on them. When I originally talked with Scott, he said that they had prompt service, that they could do the work on short notice. I realized after the fact that he said that to get me to do the work (even though I waited two days to give him the okay). His card says "Reasonable Rates". His rates, of $60/hour for two people's time was 20% higher than the highest I had up to that point. He settled on $45/hour. My guess is that he didn't want to do the rest for the lower rate and just strung it out.

I was kind of worried about the phosphates and other things but found out they used natural products!
