Description of Work: Time 2 Remodel was a pleasure to work with. We gave them a rough idea of what we wanted and they gave a finished family area and pool room that we love. Their workers took great pride in their work, down to the smallest detail. There were no surprises at the end as far as the price. Overall, a great experience.

Description of Work: Curt and Janean and their staff (especially Pete) provided excellent service and products throughout our remodeling projects from design to completion (kitchen and 2 bathrooms were gutted and redone). They were very responsive to all our questions, problems, and concerns. I highly recommend them for any remodeling project.

I can't say enough good things about this experience. Curt and Janean helped us design the shower and explained what kind of tubs would fit into the space. They also went tile shopping with me and helped me find an accent tile for the shower that would work with the existing tile accents over the vanity. The whole project went seamlessly. I knew I was in good hands the first day when I watched Curt handing off the day's work to his employees and listened to how they communicated and confirmed their tasks. They are obviously professionals. The best part, besides the precise tile work and gorgeous end result, is that I had a super weird and tight schedule and they went out of their way to get the job done exactly when I needed it to happen. This all occurred with good cheer and good ongoing communication. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Description of Work: Time 2 Remodel tore out an old acrylic tub and surround and built a beautiful tiled shower over a deep soaking tub. They also were critical to the design and ordering phases.

We were very pleased with the entire experience, from the first discovery meeting to signing off on the final punch list. The whole thing was extremely smooth. This is particularly impressive since the start date was only three weeks from when we needed the bathroom to be functional for a large gathering during Thanksgiving. Kurt and Janean were very clear and honest about what was possible and not possible to meet our deadline. Most of it came down to the lead times for our fixture and material choices. In addition to courteous staff and quality service, selecting the material is where Time 2 Remodel really shined for us. Janean took us around to suppliers in the area and knew how to navigate each showroom, their staff and policies as if she worked there. That is probably because she used to work for one of the largest plumbing fixture suppliers in Wisconsin. We also can't say enough about their carpenter crew led by Pete and the subcontractors they use. Most seemed to be in and out in a flash with no questions and no problems. We highly recommend Time 2 Remodel and hope to work with them again.
Description of Work: Time 2 Remodel did a complete bathroom remodel. Our original 1970's bathroom was not only outdated but a tiled wall in the shower had caved in due to moisture and mold. They tore out all the fixtures, some of the wall, flooring, and installed a new tub/shower, toilet, cabinetry, sink, tile shower walls, flooring lighting, fan and accessories.

We appreciate such a nice review! It was great working with you and although we were challenged with your time frame, we're glad you still felt the project went well. Your project was a great test of our process and it was nice to see it all come together. The end result looked great and I know you will enjoy it for years to come!

From their initial design to the complete product, they were creative and responsive. We could not be happier with our new kitchen and look forward to working with them on another job. They made sure that the subs worked quickly and were careful around our 1 year old daughter. Even when there was a snafu (the plumber accidentally dropped and broke the sink) they were able to get a brand new sink out and installed the very next day to keep the project on schedule. In addition, when they realized that they'd need to install a bathroom fan that wasn't part of our original scope of work they absorbed the cost of the fan. They are honest folks and do quality work.
Description of Work: Complete re-do of our 1950's era kitchen. Curt and Janean worked out a plan for us to complete a significant kitchen remodel on our small budget. They reconfigured the kitchen and installed new cabinetry and countertops, lighting, sink/plumbing, lighting and flooring. They also installed walls and doors around our basement and powder room.

The small renovation went very well. Curt was an excellent communicator, always returned our phone calls and wanted to make sure we were happy with all the work that his crew did. When we had questions about the process, or the quality of the work, Curt was quick to respond and remedy the situation. Most of all, we were happy that Curt was very willing to work with us - allowing us to do demolition, and finish work to minimize costs. We knew this was a particularly challenging job due to the size of the space we were working in. Given all the trades that would be involved, the need for permits, etc., we felt a contractor would be best to handle it. We were particularly pleased that Curt was willing to put in the effort and energy for us. We would gladly work with Curt and his crew again.

Working with Time 2 Remodel was a pleasant experience. Curt was easy to work with and guided the project along smoothly. Dave did the work on our house; he was courteous, knowledgeable, and hard working. We had our upstairs bathroom essentially gutted. They installed a new caulkless shower, vanity, granite countertop, toilet topper cabinet, and hardware to match. The bathroom turned out very well. There were a few minor cosmetic issues that we either fixed on our own, or brought to Curt's attention. Anything that we brought to Curt's attention was fixed right away. Dave also found out that our toilet had been slowly leaking into the floor for the last few months, and he worked to remove all of the ruined floor boards/wall and replace with new. It was more work than anticipated, but we were glad to have someone who cares about quality doing the work and were relieved to find that out before it became a bigger issue. The downstairs bathroom required the tear out of an old corner shower. They installed a new caulkless 3/4 shower with the addition of a wall to block the access drain, and a new accessory panel to the access drain through the adjacent closet. They also installed a new faucet so that the color of oiled bronze would flow throughout. The work in the basement bathroom was expertly done. Curt and his wife Janean helped to pick out and suggest items that would make each room work together beautifully. They had great suggestions and were incredibly easy to work with. They were conscientious of making sure we had a useable bathroom, and were great at communicating when work would be done, as we have two dogs that would be more of a hindrance than a help. Even though there was additional work required, the estimate for the work did not change by the end.

Very well. Curt and Janean were very prompt. The time between our initial meeting for an estimate and having a written contract in hand was less than a week! That blew us away. With other contractors we considered weeks and months would go by making you think, "Are they really busy, or do they not care for the work?" We had a few changes to the initial contract, including taking Curt's recommendation to resurface the fireplace. Curt's mason wasn't just a mason he was an artist. Our new gas insert fireplaces look great and are getting a lot of work keeping us warm. We added a 200 amp panel and subtracted built in cabinetry. Curt and his sub contractors were very prompt and courteous and once the demolition started someone was working every week if not more. Highly recommended!
Description of Work: Basement finishing project. This included most demolition, two gas insert fireplaces (refacing one), replacing all interior doors except bedroom closets, 200 amp panel upgrade, flooring, drywall, painting, network wiring, and lighting. We already had drain tile and a new sump pump installed by Dry Otter.

Time 2 Remodel helped us with the design of our new kitchen and their remodeling services included: · Install of cabinets, counter-tops, hardwood flooring, appliances, lighting · Updated electrical · Removal of wall · Addition of patio door House renovations of any kind can be very stressful, but there was little to no stress with our project since Time 2 Remodel was always well prepared and on schedule. Some highlights of this company below. · Stayed on Schedule ? Stuck with the timeline given to us at the beginning of the project and never had delays. Project timeline was 10 months and they met this deadline · Professional & Easy to Work with ? The Time 2 Remodel Team of Curt and Janean were always easy to reach for questions and updates. It was such a pleasurable experience to work with them that I can?t imagine working with anyone else for future remodel needs · Stayed within our budget ? The total cost of the project did not deviate from our quote given at the start of the project · Quality of Work ? All of the sub-contractors did an excellent job and Time 2 Remodel definitely has a great team working for them. The products were outstanding as well?from the cabinets, to the flooring, to the Quartz counter-tops, etc. The only negative was that the drywall sub-contractor was a bit messy, but this seems to be a common problem with drywall professionals. Overall, HIGHLY recommend Time 2 Remodel and definitely will use them for our future remodel needs.

Kurt and Jeanine were lovely folks and very professional. She especially is good with the measurements and has experience in design. The great success for me is that they were able to show my husband what the room would look like with a wall removed, which enabled him to see my vision. I was not personally impressed with the design they produced but really, for $49, it was a very good value. I feel they would be good to work with and I'm sure would be able to produce a suitable design given more time.

Overall, the remodeling went very well. Curt initially provided a design for an unusual space that made creative use of the space and met our needs. His pricing was lower than the other three contractors we asked to bid on the project. In addition, he was the only one really willing to work with us to get the set-up we wanted. During the project, we requested several modifications to the initial design that were quickly incorporated to our satisfaction. Highlights: Good pricing. Extremely helpful in designing the layout and in picking out fixtures. Good communication. Flexible. High quality work. Some minor issues: Drywallers made a huge mess and didn't hang sheeting or remove waste. This was quickly taken care of when we complained. The project took a bit longer than anticipated, but we were cautioned at the start that timing was dependent upon many factors like sub-contractor availability, building inspections and delivery of materials. Overall, the experience was a good one and the finished product is very nice. We would use Curt again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, honest contractor.
Description of Work: This contractor designed a new bathroom/laundry room for us to replace an extremely out-of-date arrangement. This was a major remodeling, requiring removal of most of a concrete slab, installation of a lot of new plumbing to relocate and add fixtures, addition of significant electrical and structural components as well as custom tile-work, wood-work and all new fixtures.

As planned, work on the project started October 14th and ended about 2 months later, about a month later than anticipated. Some weeks only a few hours of work was done and this was frustrating. Delays were attributable to the following: our Sterling Accord tub and surround (which we love) arrived damaged and had to be replaced; we ordered a custom vanity from Kemper that took additional time, our carpenter was injured in a car accident and another carpenter had to be called in, and an incorrect granite vanity top was installed and had to be re-cut and replaced. Also, we were picky and had subs return to address finishes and work that was not done to our expectations. Curt added a considerable amount of blocking, per our request, for secure placement of mirrors, towel bars, etc; he also replaced a tub spout that was part of a shower set because we thought that the original spout was oddly shaped and esthetically poor. NONETHELESS, Curt always agreed with our concerns and, without any hesitation, had his subs return to finish the job to our standards. Curt also did additional work in our master bathroom (electrical, new fan, drywall repair, paint and new mirror), front door lock installation and really cool LED lighting on our hall steps for a very reasonable price. Curtis a highly personable man with a strong commitment to please the customer. We never had a negative interaction with Curt and he proved quite accommodating. Curt has a good aesthetic and practical design sense. His wife is a designer and specialist in kitchen/bathroom products and proved quite helpful on several occasions when she accompanied Curt on site. My wife and I enjoyed our time with both of them. It felt like we had a very active role in every stage of the remodel and we appreciated Curt's sensitivity to our preferences. Weinterviewed four other well-rated Angie's List contractors before interviewing Curt; we did not go with them because they either did not listen well, were dismissive of our preferences, or were priced exceptionally high. One highly rated person, after visiting our home, would not take the job because he worked alone and felt his knees could not handle the bathtub installation in a tri-level. The bottom line is that Time 2 Remodel delivered the product we wanted, at an affordable price and we are very pleased with it. The process was delayed but well worth it.
Description of Work: Curt remodeled our second bathroom, from the floor upwards, of our 1979 vintage home. My wife and I did all the deconstruction down to the studs, took materials to the landfill and had professionals perform asbestos abatement before we contracted with Curt; those costs were not in the pricing. Curt recommended options that other bidders did not include, such as widening the entry door to the bathroom and including down lighting over the shower area and entry way. He helped with all material selections as well as minor updating in our master bathroom and other areas of the house.

Worked with us using our ideas and requests to come up with a floor plan. Provided good ideas and remarks that were incorporated but never overwhelmed us with his opinions. And if we said no to something, he did not try to do what most contractors have done with us in the past which is over selling and/or being overly aggressive. Provided a very thorough work plan and schedule. Started on time, and despite a couple of major glitches due to old house and unexpected problems, stayed on schedule and on budget with the only cost increase being due to 2 agreed upon, and very wisely done change orders which were cost effective and big wins. All services contracted for, tear-out, electrical, plumbing, tiling, carpentry were done in the most professional manner with the highest quality result. Had a few issues up front with some bumps and bruises to a few things, but they were fixed and covered by the contractor. Also we complained a little during the first week about the dust and clean-up, and the contractor made sure after that at the end of the work day, and the end of the work week, things were put in as good order as good be expected for a large and messy job. Contractor and crew were very considerate of their environment. We have owned 5 houses and have had much contract work done; this is the best work we've had done in 23 years of multi-house ownership. Kurt worked h****** establishing a working relationship with us and did everything in his power to make the experience as pain-free as possible. His wife also provided some great input and advice with some accessory details (sink, cabinet, toilet, fixtures, and general aesthetics of overall effort) and they actually make a great team. We have hired them again to do some more work for us as a result.
Description of Work: Totally gut old 1929 bathroom, creative use of unused hallway and closet space to double original floor plan, walk-in shower (not pre fab, all original tiling), subway tiles, heated floor all new fixtures, used and fixed old door for new bathroom closet and made a new door for the bathroom that perfectly matched

Being inexperienced with this type of work, I was initially concerned by the possibilities that Curt laid out. In hindsight, it's very obvious that he was just doing an excellent job of laying out the possibilities potentially hidden under the floor. We planned the work over a couple of weeks due to my travel schedule and need for the bathroom while at home. I felt he and his team did a really nice job of keeping me in the loop with the progress and discoveries. And, most importantly, I could literally see that they were doing everything they could to save me money while accomplishing quality work. The one thing I was really appreciative of was a willingness to use the extra tiles the builder used for the floor that I had when we built the house to accomplish the repairs. I didn't have a lot of them and the final number needing replacement may have actually been more than I had. His team was able to salvage a tile or two which saved me from replacing the entire floor. That was really great to see a willingness to help me out when it could have easily been a much bigger project for his business. I am very pleased with the work and can tell it's going to last a lot longer than the builder's original work.

We had used this fellow before when he was with another company. We knew his history and he had done a very good job on a separate bathroom remodeling. We called him, he came and he kid of knew the house. We told him what we wanted. We wanted the whole bathroom remodeled. We wanted new sinks, cabinets, toilets, floors and walls redone. He gave us the proposal and I said that I didn't want to spend quite that much. He came back with some alternate choices for me to make. He came in on my budget. He accommodated my timeframe which was kind of tricky because I had company coming so I didn't want it started while they were here. He and his people were extremely personable and very polite. The young woman who came with him was very nice. On certain days I take care of my grandkids and they were very nice to them. They finished the project on time and in budget.
