"We appreciate such a nice review! It was great working with you and although we were challenged with your time frame, we're glad you still felt the project went well. Your project was a great test of our process and it was nice to see it all come together. The end result looked great and I know you will enjoy it for years to come!"
The downstairs bathroom required the tear out of an old corner shower. They installed a new caulkless 3/4 shower with the addition of a wall to block the access drain, and a new accessory panel to the access drain through the adjacent closet. They also installed a new faucet so that the color of oiled bronze would flow throughout. The work in the basement bathroom was expertly done.
Curt and his wife Janean helped to pick out and suggest items that would make each room work together beautifully. They had great suggestions and were incredibly easy to work with. They were conscientious of making sure we had a useable bathroom, and were great at communicating when work would be done, as we have two dogs that would be more of a hindrance than a help. Even though there was additional work required, the estimate for the work did not change by the end.
We had a few changes to the initial contract, including taking Curt's recommendation to resurface the fireplace. Curt's mason wasn't just a mason he was an artist. Our new gas insert fireplaces look great and are getting a lot of work keeping us warm. We added a 200 amp panel and subtracted built in cabinetry. Curt and his sub contractors were very prompt and courteous and once the demolition started someone was working every week if not more.
Highly recommended!
· Updated electrical
· Removal of wall
· Addition of patio door
House renovations of any kind can be very stressful, but there was little to no stress with our project since Time 2 Remodel was always well prepared and on schedule. Some highlights of this company below.
· Stayed on Schedule ? Stuck with the timeline given to us at the beginning of the project and never had delays. Project timeline was 10 months and they met this deadline
· Professional & Easy to Work with ? The Time 2 Remodel Team of Curt and Janean were always easy to reach for questions and updates. It was such a pleasurable experience to work with them that I can?t imagine working with anyone else for future remodel needs
· Stayed within our budget ? The total cost of the project did not deviate from our quote given at the start of the project
· Quality of Work ? All of the sub-contractors did an excellent job and Time 2 Remodel definitely has a great team working for them. The products were outstanding as well?from the cabinets, to the flooring, to the Quartz counter-tops, etc.
The only negative was that the drywall sub-contractor was a bit messy, but this seems to be a common problem with drywall professionals.
Overall, HIGHLY recommend Time 2 Remodel and definitely will use them for our future remodel needs.
"We appreciate you reviewing your experience. I am sorry you feel we did not meet your expectations; we pride ourselves on exceeding our customers’ expectations throughout the entire build process. We use a computer software called 20/20. This software provides an accurate representation of what to expect, however, nothing compares to the real thing! We understand that each client has different needs and tastes, and our designs would not be complete without also preparing estimates of the finished product. If you had decided to choose Time 2 Remodel for your project, I am confident you would have joined the family of completely satisfied customers!"
Highlights: Good pricing. Extremely helpful in designing the layout and in picking out fixtures. Good communication. Flexible. High quality work.
Some minor issues: Drywallers made a huge mess and didn't hang sheeting or remove waste. This was quickly taken care of when we complained. The project took a bit longer than anticipated, but we were cautioned at the start that timing was dependent upon many factors like sub-contractor availability, building inspections and delivery of materials.
Overall, the experience was a good one and the finished product is very nice. We would use Curt again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, honest contractor.
shaped and esthetically poor.
NONETHELESS, Curt always agreed with our concerns and, without any hesitation, had his subs return to finish the job to our standards. Curt also did additional work in our master bathroom (electrical, new fan, drywall repair, paint and new mirror), front door lock installation and really cool LED lighting on our hall steps for a very reasonable price. Curtis a highly personable man with a strong commitment to please the customer. We never had a negative interaction with Curt and he proved quite accommodating. Curt has a good aesthetic and practical design sense. His wife is a designer and specialist in kitchen/bathroom
products and proved quite helpful on several occasions when she accompanied Curt on site. My wife and I enjoyed our time with both of them. It felt like we had a very active role in every stage of the remodel and we appreciated Curt's sensitivity to our preferences.
Weinterviewed four other well-rated Angie's List contractors before interviewing Curt; we did not go with them because they either did not listen well, were dismissive of our preferences, or were priced exceptionally high. One highly rated person, after visiting our home, would not take the job because he worked alone and felt his knees could not handle the bathtub installation in a tri-level. The
bottom line is that Time 2 Remodel delivered the product we wanted, at an affordable price and we are very pleased with it. The process was delayed but well worth it.
- Worked with us using our ideas and requests to come up with a floor plan. Provided good ideas and remarks that were incorporated but never overwhelmed us with his opinions. And if we said no to something, he did not try to do what most contractors have done with us in the past which is over selling and/or being overly aggressive.
- Provided a very thorough work plan and schedule.
- Started on time, and despite a couple of major glitches due to old house and unexpected problems, stayed on schedule and on budget with the only cost increase being due to 2 agreed upon, and very wisely done change orders which were cost effective and big wins.
- All services contracted for, tear-out, electrical, plumbing, tiling, carpentry were done in the most professional manner with the highest quality result.
Had a few issues up front with some bumps and bruises to a few things, but they were fixed and covered by the contractor. Also we complained a little during the first week about the dust and clean-up, and the contractor made sure after that at the end of the work day, and the end of the work week, things were put in as good order as good be expected for a large and messy job. Contractor and crew were very considerate of their environment.
We have owned 5 houses and have had much contract work done; this is the best work we've had done in 23 years of multi-house ownership. Kurt worked h****** establishing a working relationship with us and did everything in his power to make the experience as pain-free as possible. His wife also provided some great input and advice with some accessory details (sink, cabinet, toilet, fixtures, and general aesthetics of overall effort) and they actually make a great team.
We have hired them again to do some more work for us as a result.
