The selection was super. Price competitive. It really helped that they had a large number of big slabs of granite to look at. Much more than any of the other vendors we checked. Staff were very helpful and assisted us in making choices about the sink and faucet we'd need in addition to the granite. They even helped us with the name of a plumber. Layout was a bit challenging but installation was done with only one seam at the sink. Everything went great. Cannot recommend them enough.

I "discovered" The Granite Shop of Madison after doing extensive research and reading what seemed like hundreds of reviews. The reviews were so glowing that I decided to choose them and I am not the least bit disappointed. Everyone that we worked with was extremely professional and treated us as if we were their only customer. We could not be happier with the finished project. All questions and concerns were answered in a timely manner and everything fits perfectly without a scratch or mark anywhere. Working with everyone from the sales person to the installers was a dream! Reading reviews of them makes it sound as if they walk on water. Well, they do!

For the most part it went well. They messed up the dimension on one cut, but we fixed it ourselves rather than drive back to the store.

I was very impressed with the service that I received from Jim. I worked through my contractor to choose a remnant of a piece of granite. We got plenty of time to browse. We always had help whenever we needed it, without anyone being pushy. We found one that I liked. In the process, a mistake was made and the piece that I had picked out could not be used. It was an innocent mistake that happens when humans are involved, and my contractor said that this was the first time in many years that she has encountered such an event with them. Jim personally helped us pick out an even better piece for no extra cost. He made sure their shop cut it and polished it lickety split. The granite that we eventually received is stunning! The workmanship is perfect. The sinks were mounted well. All the faucet holes were lined up as we had requested. They oriented the cuts so the best features were showing. I will exclusively use the Granite Shop again when I get around to putting in new kitchen counter tops. Thanks!

Amazing. The Granite Shop is an incomparable business. All along they were very professional and organized. They had an incredible selection of stones: granite, marble, soapstone, quartzite, quartz, onyx. And we really know--I am very picky about these things, and I went to about half a dozen other places in Madison, as well as multiple Chicago stone yards to pick through the offerings. In the end, I cancelled the reserve I had placed on some stone at MSI in Chicago because it was clear that it was not as high quality as the stone that was at the Granite Shop of Madison--and it cost more! The most important thing, though, was the skill of the fabricators at the Granite Shop. They fabricated everything with an accuracy that amazed us. It was all done to the millimeter. Our experienced builder (working in Madison for 25 years) had told us that the Granite Shop was excellent, and we are happy to confirm his assessment. We will need to have additional work done in a year or two (basement wet bar), and we'll definitely be coming back to the Granite Shop!

They were a subcontractor to our kitchen remodeling contractor, so getting the initial timing and schedule for the arrival took a little time to work out between all of us, but once scheduled they were on time and quick, and very knowledgeable about the product and their craft. Everythign was installed well, and looked beautiful.

They did a great job. They were on time and it was easy to get booked with them. The two guys that came out were very professional, they were clean and they were very efficient. I would highly recommend them.

It was on sale so they gave us an approximate cost given the measurements we guessed on. Once we gave them the correct measurements, we got a new bid and were able to hold the soapstone until we are ready for it with 50% down. No pressure. Good service.

Contractor was on time and exactly within estimate. Countertop measurement, fabrication and installation was impeccable. I had made several changes during the process and he was more than happy to accommodate even late into the game. Extremely satisfied.

We recently decided to upgrade our laminate kitchen countertops to quartz and chose the Granite Shop based on the positive reviews and the honest, friendly vibe we got from the owners, Luis and Emmerson. We clearly made the right choice. The process took two weeks from start to finish and could not have been more painless. The end result is nothing short of fantastic: the seam is barely visible, the fit and finish are perfect and the owners were punctual, professional and responsive throughout the process. I continue to recommend the GSOM to all friends and neighbors.

The bathroom was not a real challenging job but it was done ontime, professionally, and the quality was great.We proceeded to the the kitchen on the a few months later. This project was quite a challenge. There is very little in our older home that is plumb or level. This provided an extra degree of difficulty in that granite does not have the give, the flexability of Formica, which is what was there. But Emerson Mendieta, a partner in the Granite Shop, after spending time reviewing the job, explained what would have to be done inorder to have a quality job. He then applied his years of expertise to the work. The results were fantasic and we have had innumerable compliments on our new countertops. We also have had several friends, who have seen our countertops, use the Granite Shop for their remodels. And again,this kitchen project was done professionally, on time, in budget and as noted, with quality workmenship. The crew at the Granite Shop shop take great pride in their work, we told them they are artists and they are. And we plan to use them on another bathroom remodel.

The final product was exactly the size I specified, and finished perfectly. I installed the tops onto the nightstands, and they now look incredible.

We had made the rounds at other granite places. When we came to the Granite Shop we were pleased.. They were very knowledgeable and honest about the products that they worked with. They had a good price and were straight forward in the way that they did there pricing. They let us choose the exact slabs of granite that were used for our kitchen. The installation went great and they left my kitchen as clean as they found it! . . . About 3 weeks later I hit a pan against the sink and made a small chip on the corner of the granite. I called them back and set up a time for them to come look at it. They fixed the chip in no time, and best of all, didn't even charge me. . . I would highly recommend them.

Everything was good. Their pricing was good and also the quality of their craftsmanship. They answered all my questions and did everything good.
