Ted's Painting

Great. Ted came to my house and put 2 coats on my kitchen and bathroom ceilings. He was very careful to cover all surfaces to have no drips or splashes and cleaned everything up very well. I immediately recommended him to a friend.

Great job! The transaction and planning was smooth and Ted showed up promptly on the day of the work. The job was to paint a stairwell and hallway. Ted layed down drip cloth, removed hardware and when I returned home from work, the job was done! I'm a pretty fussy painter myself and I will say the quality of Ted's work was beyond my expectation. Highly recommended!

I just needed two small bathrooms to have the wallpaper removed. One bathroom was more difficult as he did not take all the glue off the wall and he said just wash it off before painting and the add said he would have the rooms ready to paint when leaving. I was disappointed with the service as he was at my home the entire day and the work was not finished as advertised. It was difficult to schedule due to the weather as he did not want to drive in that and I should have taken that as a hint. They were never sure of the time when they would do the work as the communication was not good.

On time, friendly, great job, excellent clean-up. No complaints, will use again.

Ted was very polite and respectful of the premises. He came to look at the project first and gave me paint recommendations. He was neat in his painting and cleaned up between visits. He was hired for $300 for eight hours and then I paid him extra because the job required a few more hours. I felt comfortable with him being in the house working.

The job was confined to 1 day work, wall paper removal. It was a tremendous amount of work and Ted got the job done.

It was hard to schedule because the office lost my contact information and didn't call me back when they said they would (hence the B for responsiveness and professionalism). I would have hired them back to paint the same room, but I wanted the work done soon and they were already booked up for several weeks in advance.

There were a couple of minor communication issues and scheduling was tight mainly due to having sold a lot of Angie's coupons. We got things done on time an we are happy with the results. Ted was good to work with and I'd recommend him to others.

It took us a while to get a date that worked because of the weather. When he did the work, I asked him to give me an estimate because what he could not do what we wanted in one day. It was just a bigger job than one day, and he never followed up, and that was disappointing, because he said he would follow up with a date, and an estimate. I had to get someone else to finish the work. There were several layers of wall paper, and he got most of it down, and some of it was put 70 years ago, and the steamer wasn't working well on it. There is still some left, but it was not because of him. He was supposed to get back to us for that, but I don't know if he just forgot or what happened. He is a nice person, and I just felt like he was highly disorganized, and the woman who did the scheduling, called a lot, and when I scheduled with him, he didn't get back to us. He did a good job, and he cleaned up, but I was disappointed at how much we could get with 200 Dollars.

Ted and his wife Sue communicated very well prior to the paint job. Ted came out and gave an estimate prior to the work which agreed with the end price. Ted and another worker showed up on time and completed the job in one day. We are very happy with the results and plan to use Ted for another bedroom in the near future. Update 3/7 Once the paint had dried we noticed two areas that needed additional attention. One was trim on the inside of a closet door which needed a second coat. The other was an accent wall that was not cut in correctly and needed to be redone. We contacted Ted with no return call. Upon our second call we spoke with his wife Sue who stated that Ted had been under the weather and would definitely make good on any warranty work. We have waited for over two weeks now with now call back from either Ted or Sue. We are very disappointed with the follow up. I realize Ted put a coupon on Angie's List but I don't believe that is any reason for not following through and completing the work. We will not use or recommend Ted's painting in the future.

We are very happy with the paint job. Ted did a really great job with the dark colors that we chose. The painting is neat and as we hoped from a professional. We bought an Angie's List deal for a day of painting for $229. Unfortunately, Ted was not able to finish all the work in one day so we had to set up another day for him to come back to finish and paid an extra $100. We had some difficulties scheduling the second day, and it was cancelled and rescheduled a couple of times, which was somewhat frustrating. However, overall, we were happy with the work that Ted did for us.

It went very well. I only paid for the big deal price and there were no additional charges. When I contacted them, they replied very promptly and gave me an appointment very quickly. We corresponded several times before the man who came out came here so that he knew what type of things to bring with him, if he needed a really tall ladder and questions of that sort. He arrived right on time when he said that he would be here. He was very polite, cooperative, friendly and professional. He was just a really nice guy and he got right to work. He was very tidy. He covered up the floor and the surfaces so that nothing would splatter or damage anything else in the kitchen. The project took about six hours and he cleaned up very well before he left. I talked to him about some things that I was planning on doing in the future and he is preparing me an estimate for some possible additional work. It was a very good experience. I would not have asked him about future projects if I was not very pleased with everything that he did. I continue to be satisfied with the work that he did. I plan on tiling the area at some point in the future so it is just as he left it but that is fine. That is not a problem. I continue to be happy with the job that he did. His price was also excellent. I would absolutely use him again in the future.

Ted was punctual, and he was productive during the 7 hours he was at my place. I was happy with the amount of wall which Ted painted in the time he was there. I do plan to hire him again.

Ted's Painting did deck, railing and trim painting at our house. Being outside, weather was a constant factor. They kept us informed when they felt it would be OK to paint. The job done was good and met all of our expectations.

Ted came by to scope the project before scheduling the work. He said it may take an extra 1 - 1.5 hours to accomplish. He ran over by 6 hours and charged me another $270. He also had me buy way more paint than I needed. The quality of work was good, but the estimate was inaccurate.

It did take some time to get scheduled. We scheduled a date, but we had to cancel and reschedule due to a project they had. He painted a hallway and stairs. It took the duration of the coupon, about 7 hours, to finish. He did a nice job, the paint looks good! The price was in line with what good painters charge.

Ted did a good job painting my ceiling. He had to cover my entire kitchen and part of my family room with tarps to paint the ceiling. He did a professional job and made it look like new.

Did a great job. Stayed longer till job was done.

Ted arrived at the designated time and painted for 8 hrs.He did a great job! I would hire Ted again.

Ted painted my living room and hallway. He even had time to paint my staircase which I was delighted about. He was prompt. Told me when he would be leaving for lunch and how long. He cleaned up his equipment without a mess. The paint job looks very nice.

Provider arrived on time and proceeded to prep surface for painting. Painted both rooms and ceiling in two days. We were very happy with the workmanship the speed in which he worked.

After some initial confusion about scheduling , the work quality itself was excellent .

Ted was awesome! I had been putting off repainting our kitchen cabinets for some time, because I expected it to be a headache, and wasn't sure how easy it would be to get good results. Ted is a pro and did a wonderful job -- the room looks fantastic! He had recommended good types of paint to get from Hallman Lindsay, and that was valuable advice -- I'm sure it was a big factor in how well the job turned out. His schedule and ours were both pretty tricky the week of the job, but he was very good about getting the job done within the time we had agreed upon. It's hard to live without a functional kitchen, and we appreciate his willingness to finish up on a Saturday so we could get our lives back to normal quickly. We're very happy with Ted's work and what he charged to do it, and also appreciate the responsiveness of Susan, his office manager. Both are very nice people to work with, and we'll be calling again for the next job.
