Great service with restaining our deck. Friendly, professional, responsive, and the deck looks great. Small, local business that is run out of their home.

We are extremely pleased with Ted's Painting. Ted did the entire job himself, and it looks great. Our priority, besides quality, was timing. We needed the space painted quickly as we have to move out of our current office before the end of the month. Ted was very responsive and accommodating. Overall, both Ted and Sue were a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely use Ted's Painting again in the future.

That is still on hold. He wanted an deposit two falls ago, to start painting last spring. He does painting good, but he has not finished my painting. He would notified my tenants and he was going to come do the porch, and never came. I called, and his wife said he was doing inside work now. Its raining in Wisconsin, and freezing rain. I am not happy that its not done. I am refinancing to cover the cost of my garage, and they are going to refinance as is. My front back porch is peeling. Its aggravating me. Its hurting me financially, because he didn't finished it last year. I told him its outside work. I am easy to work with. He could do it as it suits him. He wanted to go out on the deck, and I have to have twenty four hour notice for my tenants. Like I said he is kind of goofy, like an air head. I saw his reviews are all A's, and he does good painting for the price. I just hired another painter to plaster in the hallway, and I assume his prices is higher than Ted's. I am not sure if he does plaster, or just painting. Here it is going on two years. I feel flustered because he does good painting, and does a good price. Its been dragged out for two falls ago. He has really high reviews, and I thought his price was reasonable. He was nice when he came out, and gave me an estimate. He just hasn't finished the job. He covered all the issues that I wanted attention to. It was fine. I think his price was reasonable.

Still underway but Ted's quality of work and attention to detail is excellent. Taking a little longer than I anticipated but I'd much rather have a slower but meticulous painter than a speedy but sloppy one.

Ted was great to work with. He arrived on time and did a great job painting and removing wallpaper. We wanted to paint our trim white so we had him start in a bedroom as a test room. We loved his quality of work so we will be having him come back to paint the rest of the trim in the house white.

I had a great experience with Ted's Painting. Scheduling the work was incredibly easy; the day I submitted the request on Angie's List, I was contacted by Susan as she and Ted were in the area and wanted to stop by to take a look at the work. After a quick visit, we scheduled the work to be completed the following week. Ted did a great job, which included high ceilings over a staircase and a lot of edging around doors in the upstairs hallway. He was very professional and meticulous with his work and completed the job as scheduled. I would definitely recommend Ted for any interior painting job!

Great service and painting, also some especially nice repair of walls where heavy curtain rods were removed. Beautiful paint job, good communication and easy scheduling. I would definitely use them again.

I was very satisfied with Ted's work painting my home. Ted's is a small operation. He does the work himself, sometimes with one assistant (who was having some health problems at the time of my job). Ted's wife Susan does the scheduling and handles the paperwork. The quality of work was excellent. Ted was respectful of my wishes and time schedule and worked with me on progress of the job. Because it is a small operation, there was a need to fit my job in with some other obligations, so the job spread out over a somewhat longer period than I anticipated, but this was not a major problem. When coming into the house, Ted was very respectful, polite, and clean. Again because the operation is small, some of the interactions around billing and other specifications were a bit less formal and polished than might be the case with bigger companies. Again, not a big problem. I sought bids from four companies, two small, two larger. All were recommended on Angie's list. Ted's bid was the most attractive, and there were no unpleasant surprises. I am planning to use Ted for some wallpaper removal and interior painting during the winter season.

Ted was prompt, courteous, respectful of our property, and trustworthy. The painting was well done and it was done in a timely manner. Communication could be a bit better, but overall, the job was well done and I am happy to give them an A rating. I would hire Ted again.

Ted and his assistant were timely on their arrival. They promptly started the work. However, the assistant seemed to do to much associating with us, which I would expect would influence the amount of time needed to complete this or any project. Our project was prepaid for a certain number of hours, which turned out to be more than sufficient. However, that may not be the case with other jobs where time is of the essence. Also, the quality of work was lacking. Spots or small areas were missed, and overlooked when they inspected how they had done and what yet needed to be done. We had to have them return to address those areas. Nice enough guys, but not the attention to detail that is needed.

.It took a few emails to get things lined up, but Ted came to do the estimate at the time he said he would. The estimate was a good deal lower than the next best that we got. They required half payment at the time they did the power wash, and the rest on completion, which was fine. We had some communication issues about scheduling and whether we wanted semi-solid vs solid stain, but we eventually got that all worked out. Ted contacted us to reschedule the actual staining since it looked like the weather was going to be better a few days later. That was not a problem, and everything worked out very well based on that recommendation. He showed up when he said he would for the power wash and the staining, which we appreciated. They worked quickly and efficiently (less than four hours from arrival to departure for the staining), and the deck looks great. They cleaned up everything, and there's no sign of stain in the wrong places or any missed spots. We're very pleased and would recommend Ted and would use him again. Because it is a family business, their answering machine is for their home as well as the business--and as I recall doesn't even mention the business, which is why I docked a point for professionalism; don't let that put you off. They always got back to me in less than 48 hours, usually less than 24. The work was very well done and reasonably priced.

We scheduled a time for an estimate over the phone--Ted was prompt and cordial. I had an estimate within 48 hours and work started and completed within a couple of weeks. He works with his stepson to get the painting done and his wife Susan takes care of the scheduling and business end. All members of the family are responsive, cordial and very prompt in everything they do. The pricing is very fair and the paint job looks great! I plan on asking Ted to come back and paint another two rooms in my house. I would definitely recommend him.

It turned out great. There were two painters who came out and they did a nice job. I like everything. They were right on time.

The job was done well. He seemed to take his time doing the preparations and the final product looks good.

Ted did a great job. It was challenging work - 40 y.o. wallpaper on 100 y.o. plaster walls. We did the painting ourselves after he prepped the walls.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. Their service was not bad. There were a couple of things and I did not think it was as perfect a job as I was used to with my regular painter that I have used for years. It was okay; good, but there are a couple of edges that are not as straight as I would like. There were a couple of finished details which could have been better. He cared a lot and did his best. The person who came out was the son because the others were busy and I don't know how often he did this sort of thing. I don't know that this was his normal day job. In terms of attention, communication and the actual job itself, it is okay. I think their price was good.
