Description of Work: I purchased a painter for the day. They were freindly and picked up after themselves. Most of the space looks very nice but where they cut in along the ceiling was not done very well at all.

Description of Work: This was a time limited offer. I paid Ted but had to cancel because of family illness/death. He never contacted me to reschedule. I expect that he will. That is why I've given him a C, rather than an F. I will be happy to reevaluate him after he does the work I paid him for. ***UPDATE: Ted did contact me after I posted this review. He came out, looked at the work and came back out to complete it. I have a complex house with different wall dimensions. He did a very good job and is quite meticulous. His current rates are of good value and he coming back out to do some additional work for me.

Description of Work: Ted painted the trim in my screened porch, and also the trim in our dining room in a day. Speedy and good quality. The price was great because it was a big deal, but I'm sure it would be a good deal at full price also.

Description of Work: Painted our master bedroom, walls and ceilings, excellent job and very good experience. My only gripe, and it's a minor one, was it was a little dicey scheduling them -- booked out quite a bit ahead and the person on the phone didn't seem to have a real good grasp of the scheduling. Then when I called to confirm a few days before she wanted to reschedule even tho this had been booked for 2 months. But when I balked, she backed down. But they worked hard and fast, did a great job for a very reasonable rate.

Description of Work: We used the $229 for some trim painting. We also had a living room, hall, stairway walls repainted and a bedroom ceiling repainted for an additional $1,500. Ted is contentious and knowledgeable. He was able to suggest paints and techniques for improving areas at minimal cost. He also was very flexible in working around some scheduling and timing issues.

Description of Work: We used an Angie's List deal for 4 hours of painting for $360. Ours turned out to be a two-coat project and we never felt like they were trying to rush to stay within the 4 hour timeline. They were definitely at our place longer than 4 hours to get the job done right. Ted and his assistant were very likable and took the time to fix issues that previous painters had created with sharpening up ceiling and corner lines. We'll definitely use them again.

 + -1 moreIt went very well. Ted came by and gave me a prompt bid and then we worked around our various scheduling and weather challenges to determine a good time for the work. I felt we were both flexible. We wanted to have the work done before we went on vacation and Ted was very good about accommodating us. He and his assistant were reliable, meticulous, and TIDY. I am very pleased with how it all looks.
Description of Work: Painting the walls and woodwork of a large basement family room, hall, and stairway. Painting the walls and woodwork of long hallways and a dining room upstairs as well as the woodwork in the kitchen. The extensive woodwork upstairs all had to be done in oil based paint.

 + -1 moreTed cleaned up everyday on the job and was careful in covering up our garden spaces. He was very personable and communicated well. He offered color suggestions for parts of the house that proved to be good choices. He went out of his way to make this a positive experience, our neighbors commented on his friendliness and cleanliness. The entire job was finished in a week and a half and we are pleased with the results.
Description of Work: The exterior of our house was scraped of old paint, powerwashed and painted. This included window trim, doors, gutter, shelves, retaining walls and covered patio.

 + -1 moreI needed the house re-painted (same color) to prepare for sale at a time when few painters work due to the weather. The old paint was failing in may places. Ted was very concerned about the paint job being high quality -- more than I was, actually. He was very thorough with his prep work and even did some minor siding repair. He added double coats where necessary, even though I only asked for one coat. He was great about taking advantage of every clear, dry, warm day (or even half day) to get the job done. He called me daily to let me know whether or not he could paint in the weather and when he would come by.

 + -1 moreVery impressed from the bid to the finished job. He paid attention to the fact that the hard rains come from the south in Seattle and that side needed better protection than the other sides of the house. He was not the lowest bid (or the highest) but I had the confidence that he knew what he was doing. Both he and the people he had helping were very respectful of what our needs were. The end result was paint where it should be and none where it should not be. It started when he said it would and he finished in his estimated time.
Description of Work: Restained and repainted the exterior of the house. Both the paint and the stain were the same color as what was already there. It is a two story house with some areas where it is difficult to get a ladder.
