Ted's Painting

Everything went as discussed. He was on time.

Very well. I especially appreciate Ted's suggestion to caulk between trim & walls. Other painters never mentioned that and it really makes a difference. He was thorough and neat. He didn't cut corners....he applied a second coat where needed and he was careful to cover the floors, furniture, etc., so there were no misplaced drips or spatters. It looks great.

Did a great job. He was very responsive (his wife Sue does a great coordinating job!) and showed up when he said he would. He left things very clean when done.

I was very impressed with Ted. I'm fussy and the results were outstanding. We were preparing our house for sale and wish we had gotten Ted for the few rooms we painted ourselves. We got a special but expanded from there and thought his prices very reasonable for the quality of work. It didnt take him nearly as long as I thought it would and he covered and cleaned up well. I would use Ted again and would highly recommend him to others.

Ted's wife susan called promptly to set up a preview of the work to be done. I ordered the paint. We set up a time and had a couple of set back due to weather which is expected at this time of year. Ted came on the date agreed to, did the work within the time frame indicated, cleaned up after and the room looks awesome. I will definitely have him do more work in the future. He is friendly, reliable and prompt. Thanks Ted and Susan.

Will definitely use Ted again if I need more painting work done. Very responsive with phone calls and email. Showed up on time, got right to work. Did a really nice job with a cream and olive toned paint combination in a guest room.

He helped us figure out how to best use his time, which was great. While the upstairs room was drying, he worked on a downstairs room. It worked well. There were just a few spots of paint that dropped where they were not supposed to be, but I think that was due to his desire to maximize his time. Overall, a great job done.

He asked very few questions and spent very little time reviewing the details of our request. We never heard back from him. However, the woman who answered the phone and worked on scheduling the estimate appointment made considerable effort and was professional.

Everything went as expected from the time of purchase. I was contacted promptly and an appointment was scheduled. The job was completed on time and on the date scheduled. Ted was vey professional.

Ted gave the wallpaper the good old college try, as had I before buying the "Angie's Deal" for Ted's services. He then pointed out that the wallpaper was so firmly adhered to the backing that the plaster board was coming away with paper. He offered to continue but explained it would be creating divots, etc. that would then need more attention and repair before moving forward with painting. He suggested covering with a KILZ-type primer. He would sand down, plaster, and sand where the wallpaper seams were so that they would become invisible, and then prime. We went for this option. The room is now painted and it looks great. No sign of the wallpaper. I am fussy about details and there were details, for ex. areas left un-sanded, that probably only I will ever notice, so I would really like to give the "Quality" grade of A-/B+ instead of the B.

Prompt estimate. Quality, clean work performed in a timely manner. Ted and Sue kept me informed of when they would or wouldn't be there because of weather. I am now having my deck done. Had a bad experience once before with a different company and am so pleased with Ted's work!!!

We never even got an estimate due to pushy communications and inflexible estimate scheduling. During initial communications, I got a callback when I hadn?t replied to a voice mail in 24 minutes. Yes, minutes. During follow-up communications (which didn?t even seem necessary, as it was just 2 days after we?d set our estimate appointment they were emailing to find out if I still wanted them to come out), I got 2nd email asking for a reply just 1.5 hours after their previous e-mail. The estimate date in question was still 6 days out, and we had both already agreed on a date/time, and I thought that was rather pushy for a confirmation. I don?t sit at a computer during the day so I don?t see all emails immediately...I think it's reasonable to have given me more than 1.5 hours to reply. When I found out the next day I had a funeral to attend during our weekend estimate time, I asked if they could possibly come out on a weekday that week. The e-mail reply was a terse, ?He?s not able to make it. Perhaps another paint company would serve you better.? Yes, another paint company will serve me better. Update based on company feedback: I did indeed return each call and email and do have the records to show that. I just couldn't always reply immediately, as stated in my original review. I responded to each message in a reasonable amount of time, often within hours, never more than 1 day. In addition, my last email did indeed state I needed to attend a funeral, so that was made clear in my communication.

The whole experience was great. He is fast and efficient. Did a beautiful job. I highly recommend him and will use him in the future.

Purchased a Big deal for Ted's Painting. They are a small business and did a great job. The only issue was that they required payment at time of service. They gave me an invoice and next day sent an email and asked if payment had been sent. I am use to companies giving you a time frame to pay 10 or 15 days. I am happy with the service they performed. Very prompt and pleasant to deal with.

The machine broke as soon as he started but everything did turn out fine. He came very quickly as soon as it was repaired and was very apologetic during the situation.

Ted rocks! We have nice oak cupboards and wanted them painted a creamy white. He came out and gave us an estimate and was there within weeks. It took him 3 days to do the entire job and the cupboards turned out beautifully. We asked him to come back and do a bit of touch op and he was right there to take care of it. We are very pleased with Ted's work and would hire him again in a heart beat.

It went well. They were very flexible with scheduling. I wanted to wait about a month after I purchased it and I had to switch the date about a week prior to our appointment and they were good with it. The job took longer than the one day – it took 2 full days. I thought I was getting charged the same rate for the second day so that was a little surprising but they did great work. It was done with great quality and he was extremely professional. I would hire him again.

They were apparently so overwhelmed by the demand of their big deal that they were never able to provide the service for us. Very disappointed. Called to try to work it out with them. Gave them months to get the job done. Nothing happened. Had to eventually call Angie's List to get help. Thankfully, they made it right.
