Friendly, no stress environment. Never too busy. Great array of equipment and classes. Towels could really use upgrade or at least, some fabric softener

I thoroughly enjoy this gym. I live close, that makes my decision to go here easier. It is not the top of the line, have everything kind of place, but it does the job. It has a pool, classes, a childcare room, and plenty of machines. There are occasionally times when the machines are full, but I have never had to wait for a machine. I love the owners and the fact that they are always there working themselves and know me by name. It makes the place feel and quot;homeyand quot; and local. They are great guys. The rest of the staff is also friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a no-frills gym that gets the job done. Also, the price is reasonable.

I joined a few years ago after giving up on the Y. It was often crowded and my daughter cried every time she went to childcare. It was too chaotic. I then looked at the Princeton Club. That was very flashy and had a fancy childcare area. My kids hated the childcare there and if they didn't like it,mi wouldn't be able to go. We then tried Supreme and it was perfect. The pool isn't too cold, the childcare is great and the instructors for classes are awesome. Plus the towels are included.
Description of Work: I've belong for a few years andi highly recommend it. The employees are very friendly and helpful. It is rarely too crowded in the classes or on the equipment. I don't feel like I have to be superjock, but there are some of those so I have something to aim for. In particular, I really have to give a thumbs up to Luanne and Shana.

I had previously been a member of a pricey gym downtown, but wanted to save some money. I found Supreme Health by searching online. The monthly membership price was great and I loved that they offered two free personal training sessions (a sign-up bonus at the time). When I first walked in to take a tour, the woman was very helpful and friendly. When I mentioned that I would be using the personal training, she offered to introduce me to one of the trainers right away so that I could start my sessions. The personal training was a great way to learn my way around the weight rooms--there are three separate rooms that contain different equipment, including some newer things like the TRX. My trainer (Abby) sat down with me at our first meeting to discuss what I wanted out of the training and developed a plan to help me reach my goals. The equipment works well and there are always plenty of cardio machines open; I've never had to wait. Also, if a machine does break down, I've seen it idle for 2 days at most. There's a large whiteboard that is constantly updated for the free and paid classes. The one downside is that the TVs are on a wall and you need an FM tuner to listen (or read the captions)--I got very spoiled at my old gym with personal TVs. Finally, I love the atmosphere at the gym. It's very casual and laid-back. Within a couple days, I recognized "regulars" who were there at the same time as me, who would greet me. I've already gotten to know some of the other members after just two months--at my old gym, people would rarely talk to you, much less make eye contact! It makes it very easy to go to the gym, even if you're not feeling super in shape.

We had been members at a very large gym in Madison for two years, locked in an expensive contract, stuck going to the huge warehouse-like atmosphere, and forever waiting for a free machine. When we moved, that gym was no longer convenient to go to. We looked into the Y at one point, but didn't like the "all kid" atmosphere, plus it was still quite expensive. We found Supreme Health and Fitness in one of the mailer magazines that come in the mail about once a month, and decided to go check it out. We walked in, and someone immediately took us on a tour, and answered all our questions. She gave us a free week pass to try it out for ourselves. During our week trial, we found that the staff was pleasant, and were pleasantly surprised to find a nice camaraderie among the members. We were even able to ask a few current members how they liked the gym, and they all loved it. The atmosphere is casual. The gym is separated into large rooms, as opposed to one enormous room. Most of the equipment is not very new, but it is well-maintained, and repairs are made quickly on the rare occasion that something breaks down. The gym itself isn't fancy high-tech state-of-the-art, but it's very clean and comfortable. I took the offer of an additional 3 sessions with a trainer (after the initial meeting) for $60. The trainer, Shana, was flexible with her schedule, and let me choose how I wanted to split up the days. I chose one time a month for three months, so that she could help me as I progressed. Shana was great to work with, really listened, and was able to work around old injuries, even developing a routine that would help support the muscles to prevent the injury from re-occurring. Several months into our membership, I injured myself at home, and she wasn't in the gym that day. I asked at the desk if any trainers were available to help show me some modified exercises. I was told that the trainer was with a client, but that the OWNER of the gym (also a trainer) was available. Howie took me around the gym and showed me a number of moves that I could add to my routine to help strengthen and not further damage the muscles involved. I later was able to meet with Shana, and she gave me an even more complete modified routine to work with as my injury healed - no charge for "tweaking" my routine. Overall, we have been incredibly impressed by this gym - from the owner and the trainers, to the classes, and even to the members. It's an easy place to get a workout done, to not feel intimidated, to not have a "meat market", and to even make a few friends. Oh - and the price was way less than our previous gym and the Y! I strongly encourage you to visit this little gym that could - because it CAN!
